Let’s start making you some money with this matchup between the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates. For the Chicago Cubs, it’s Javier Assad listed as the starter in this one. While the Pirates will send out Carmen Majinsky, and it looks like for the Pirates, Majinsky uh being the opening piece of what potentially could be a bullpen game for the uh for the Pirates. And you know, Majinski when he was a starter, he wasn’t terrible, but there were a lot of spots just where his offense couldn’t back him up. And now, if you’re Majinsky, you come back in for a spot start. Like I said, it’s part of a bullpen game with Andrew Heene uh rumored to be shifted to the bullpen. And for me, that’s still just it’s not really doing a whole lot for me because the Pirates in the last two weeks still have the worst bullpen erra in baseball. Entering Saturday, it was at 7.42 42 and it’s still around six, which isn’t great. And this is a uh a Pirates lineup that I think is still going to be struggling going forward. And you’re going up against a Cubs lineup that has been really solid, you know, offensively for a lot of the season. Now, in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching, they’re only hitting 217. And the team OPS numbers aren’t great, but we’ve still seen plenty of solid offensive outputs at times from the Cubs. And I think this is a good spot for what’s been a sleepy offense in Chicago who’ scored two runs or less in four of their last five entering Saturday to really wake up against a a uh a Pittsburgh team that gave up a combined 33 runs in their three games against the Milwaukee Brewers, 14 runs in a in a home game against the Cincinnati Reds. So, I do think that Majinsky and the and the Pirates bullpen could get hit hard here. But on the other side, like I said, you’ve got the Cubs and Javier Assad who gave up four runs on eight hits over four innings to work against the Blue Jays in his last start. Do I think the Pirates are going to be an offense that lights the world on fire? Absolutely not. But Assad has been hitable in his last two, I should say, the start this season. Got he got roughed up, you know, and I just don’t trust this Cubs bullpen much either. I do think of the two, they’re the more trustworthy bullpen, but they still have a bullpen erra around four in the last two weeks. So, for me in this one, I’m just expecting some runs. Um, it’s not my favorite game on the board by any stretch of the imagination just cuz like I said, the Cubs haven’t been in the best of form, but to me with two shaky bullpens and two teams that are capable putting runs on the board, I think we do get some runs here. So, I’m going to take the over between the Pirates and the Cubs and that’s going to be my free pick.
