  1. Certainly not going to be too upset with Murphy. He’s done an incredible job. But that one is on him. With such a limited pen and Myers throwing really well, there was just no reason to pull him. That was a classic Counsell move.

  2. 14-1 in the lockridge era 🙁

  3. Great streak. I’m so happy to got to witness this and be at AmFam for some of these games. It was a huge moment in team history. Don’t really mind it coming to an end. Actually would rather it end against Cincy than Chicago lol

  4. The Turang error sucked. Myers finishes this game if he makes the play, still don’t understand pulling him but oh well. The streak was awesome and an unforgettable time, and I am satisfied with its conclusion. Let’s go beat the Cubs now.

  5. That Bill home run had me believing we would never lose again!! Disappointing to lose in this fashion, but oh well. Anderson is…not very good but no team has a bullpen solely comprised of great relievers.

  6. Beyond grateful it didn’t come at the hands of the cubs. Now we can focus on dominating that series and the remainder of the year. Proud of our Crew!

  7. It would be really funny if the boys got irrationally angry at losing a single game and then kicked the crap out of the Cubs.

Pressure of the streak is off. Now back to winning.

Also I’d love to see the Reds catch up to the Cubs! So that helps!

  8. Oh no

Anyways had to lose again at some point. Series win and what a fun run it’s been.

  9. Our B squad nearly beat the best version of the Reds. I’m cool with that

  10. Sucks but a ton of our best hitters aren’t playing nor did we use our best bullpen guys and we still almost won.

Time to close out the division.

  11. Well – they had to lose eventually. And in true good team fashion – they burned themselves here more than the Reds beat them. Turang, Murph, than Anderson. With some bad bunts and lots of pop up outs.

    On to the next.

  12. had to come to an end, i’m glad i was here for the whole thing! what a ride!

man why couldn’t myers stay in lol

  13. Hard to be mad after that streak. But Murphy wanking Meyers in the middle of the 9th for grant fucking Anderson was the worst managerial decision I’ve ever seen. No exaggeration. Meyers was locked in. Anderson is a complete head case. Just no idea what Murphy was thinking. I guarantee Meyers closes out that game. Just a shitty shitty way to end the streak.

  14. I’m gonna get downvoted to hell, but that was an absolute fucking moronic move to pull Meyers and bring in Anderson. We full on punted that W away for no fucking reason. I don’t wanna hear shit about “matchups” or “metrics”. That was some Greg bullshit right there.

  15. not so bad, too many people were getting fragile after too long without an L. both teams played some dynamic baseball, we won a very fun series, all is good in the world.

  16. I’m happy that even the loss to end the streak was a close one. That was a fun run, let’s do it again

  17. Maybe it’s not such a bad thing to come back to earth before the cub series. LET’S GO!!

  18. Murph giving the Reds a mercy win so they could be within a game of them after the Cubs get swept

  19. We really were overdue for one of these. I can live with a 10th inning loss when half our starters and basically our entire bullpen were out

  20. Murph got too cute, taking out Joey was a mistake, taking out Tobias in the 9th was a mistake.

    Oh well, onto Chicago

  21. To be fair, I feel like the giant monkey that was the expectation for keeping the streak going is finally off our backs. 14-0 is something to be super proud of!
