Yankees just had one of the most unlikely ejections ever..

Yankees and the Cardinals. Yankees trying to win their third game in a row here in St. Louis. That would be something. Will Warren going for the Yankees. Mike Nicholas going for the Cardinals. And the Yankees actually score three runs in the third inning. And they do it by putting a bunch of hits together. Something that, well, we don’t see very often, and when we do, we love to see it. Something that nobody loves to see is bad calls. Trent Gisham strikes out here on a pitch so inside that I actually thought the home plate umpire was going to change his decision. That’s how bad it was. At first, Aaron Boon definitely looked like he was about to get tossed again. But believe it or not, Aaron Boon did not get tossed here. The Yankees catching coach Tanner Swanson is the one that got the boot. Got to cash it in. Aaron Boon. He’s getting close. And now the third base umpire walks over to the Yankees dugout and issues an ejection. Honestly, with a call that bad, if I was an umpire, I would have just taken it. That was so freaking brutal. 1. Boone always over manages ! Why would you not leave Devin Williams in to pitch the 6 th! He puts Doval in and he immediately gives up the go ahead run!

  2. Many of these Umpires are headed for Baseball History.
There’s technology that can replace their shit calls and provide instant feedback on them.
The Umpire’s Union will have to be broken and Senior MLB Management would have to be convinced as well. Two Tall Orders but it must happen for the Good of the Game.
Umpires who consistently get Low Grades need to sent back down to the Minor Leagues just like Players do on occasion.

  3. Well, – – – – I may be getting ahead of myself here – – – but I think the Yankees got the monkey off their back and gave it to the Cardinals in the 9th inning. Wholly 💩that was the fuggly we saw from the Yankees in their meteoric 2ns half crash. The other good sign is it was the bottom 1/2 of the order that did the damage. 38 left.

  4. That horrible call destroyed a rally. Through the years, the quality of umpiring has gradually deteriorated to an embarrassing level. Not just balls and strikes, but look how many challenges are overturned. If this was an "occasional" issue, we fans would understand that mistakes can happen. But it's happening constantly. I'm 100% in favor of robo-umps moving forward.
