Jets are a poverty franchise to the point where historically worse franchises have made the play offs more recently.
Fields, for all of his flaws, started pretty dynamite for the Steelers last season. He wont save them but considering the absolute dumpster fire that was the Jets/Rodgers era, any semi decent QB would be a change of pace
He can’t pass and they have one good receiver so defenses are just going to commit to stopping the run and the jets are fucked… idk why that would be the plan

in the jets’ defense, there weren’t many other options for them. can’t bring back rodgers (he was clearly done with the jets too). can’t sign darnold because you ruined his career. can’t trade for geno because you ruined his career. can’t sign zach wilson because you ruined his career. so you have fields, russ, and daniel jones. not great upside

Getting rid of Rodgers when you still have to pay him anyway was such a stupid move. There is no way you can possibly argue that Justin Fields is a better option, other than to tank.
