Injury-Plagued St. Louis Cardinals Get SWEPT By The New York Yankees
The short-handed St. Louis Cardinals are swept away by the New York Yankees. AIDS JD from Lock on Cardinals and another day, another loss for St. Louis who got beat by the Yankees 8 to4 to complete the sweep and send the Cardinals to their fifth consecutive loss overall. Miles Michael shockingly walks five guys. Where the hell did that come from? But only gives up three runs in five innings. So, he kind of did his job. All of them coming in the fourth inning, by the way, to put the Ins. But the offense once again claws their way back into this ball game, eventually taking a 4 to3 lead on a Joel Poso home run. But the bullpen just could not make it stick as New York tacks on one in the seventh and blows it open with four unearned runs against Jojo Romero in the ninth inning to win it. No Donovan, no Contrarus, no Aronado, no Victor Scott, no wins in their last five games. Kind of feels like the first nails in the coffin of the 2025 season. JD, they need to put Donnie and Willson on the 10 day IL and bring up Fermin and someone else who is worthy of a promotion. Not JJ. JJ needs more work and time to get really good and comfortable playing third base. We are not going to the World Series. Let both of them heal totally before they come back. Exactly what is the rush? That's what the IL is for!

The Cardinals suck. The players look like they don’t give a crap anymore. Pitching is terrible, and the hitters can’t get a hit to save their lives. Romero is broken. We look worse than the Rockies right now. Saggese forgot how to field. He made two critical errors leading to our demise. An 80 year old could do better than Saggese in the field.
2games 2 leads swept away..Pozo go ahead homer was sweet. Then the unearned runs. So some positivity. The bp will have cracks now. Obrien looks good though. The 5 walks came from the umpire JD😂 and a late walk then Ollie got tossed. I liked Ollies lineup⚾️🏆
