I do not believe this game will happen today
I believe our odds to miss the playoffs are now higher than our odds to win the division. Baseball Reference hasn’t updated them yet since the loss in game 1, but it should be close.

Given the impending lines of thunderstorms and current tornado warning out by Elgin, the doubleheader might be made up in one of the following days instead. With how the atmosphere and all that crap is today in the area, these kinds of storms can produce sporadic tornados, so it’ll be iffy if the game’s played tonight.

I don’t know the right words for it but man, the sequence of events this season is going to break a lot of trust with fan base. Cubs fans have been patient. Getting rug pulled 3 years in a row and still having hoyer on an extension is just depressing.
