Typical Padres management to get a legit all-star bat and then keep him on the bench while our “stars” are flailing big time.

  20. I like Schildt but man does he come across as a bit of a dick to the media in some of these interviews. It’s a fair question and the “well what would you do” response is lame.

  21. Respectfully, this is not the response of a strong manager. This seems to be a sign of him acknowledging he’s under pressure. While also exposing he doesn’t know how to handle it. He has a great squad. And it’s not the team that’s being humbled, it’s him and his management style. Being smug is not the way to lead a club.
