Couldn't have done this when we were facing one of the worst teams in baseball. Had to wait for the 5 game series against the best team in baseball and our division rival.

  1. Send him, Seiya, and Happ on a week long retreat somewhere. Those three have added absolutely nothing to the lineup in almost two months. Should have done this weeks ago.

  2. Praise the lord. Keep putting him out there isn’t doing him any favours, if he’s hurt let him rest.

  3. 😂😂😂 the time for this was 3 weeks ago. Caissie or Mo could’ve come up and got consistent at bats. Now you’ve let Tucker play like crap for 2 months and doing Caissie a disservice by bringing him up and sitting him mostly because “our outfield is really good” or whatever the fuck the $8M manager said. We should all think about that more. Hes getting $8M / year and he’s replacement level manager

  4. They handled this terribly. Can’t wait to see him rake for another team next year while the Cubs win 85 games.

  5. I’m guessing he’s losing millions and now thinking about the millions he’s losing.

  6. Should of went to IL weeks ago instead of playing through the pain. He is definitely gone after this season and will use the excuse of bad environment for his lack of production this year.

  7. If he keeps playing like this I could see the Cubs actually signing him in the offseason.. unfortunately it would inevitably be a one year deal but let’s hope he even wants to be in Chicago.

  8. Thanks but this is 5 games too late. Would have been nice to get him back this series rather than completely sit him out for it.

  9. PERFECT TIMING, CRAIG! Right in middle of the 5 game series with the division rival and not 3 weeks ago when it would have mattered.

  10. This organization is a complete joke in how it is ran. I don’t disagree with sitting him, but you had multiple chances to do so before the Brewers series. Come the fuck on.

  11. Glad this is finally happening, but how fucked is it that you have to rest your superstar in the biggest series of the year because he’s been putting up Miles Mastrobuoni-level numbers for the past six weeks.

  12. If he’s not healthy IL him. They did this shit with Bryant too. If they can’t produce and it’s due to injury put them on the IL

  13. Just complete mismanagement by Jed and Craig. We all knew he was in need of a reset. Instead of giving him one they waited and it got worse and worse. Now he’s having to set the most important series of the season. Only the Chicago cubs would do this

  14. I was going to be taking some games off of beers but this afternoon’s game decided that must wait until after the Brewers series

  15. So much for winning the trade – the timing couldn’t be worse. Might as well grab a reset in the playoffs too (if we even make them)

  16. We’ve been saying this for weeks! “Fans don’t know more than the Manager and Front Office.” Sounds like bullshit to me.

Let me guess, we’ve been asking for Hoerner to lead off…I expect to see it happen in 2 weeks now. Yay.

  17. Coming to terms with this collapse, I would like to see in 26 Happ/PCA/Caissie OF, Shaw/Swanson/Hoerner/Busch IF, Shota/Boyd/Steele/Horton/Taillon/Assad SP, wicks/Thielbar/keller/rogers/hodge/palencia BP. Amaya/Mo(DH) C, Suzuki(DH) Castro/???. If Suzuki and Happ can’t be consistent by mid season I’m bringing up Alcantara for the bench then you HAVE to have a serious discussion about Suzuki and Happ future at end of season.

  18. I’m glad stuff is finally happening instead of EVERYONE in the organization acting like things have not looked seriously wrong for weeks now. I wonder how much of Tucker’s decision this was vs. Counsell/Jed having to talk him into it

  19. Maybe he should have gone on the shelf for 10 games instead of trying to fight through whatever happened 2 months ago.

  20. If I was to judge by the comments, fans of the Cubs hate Cubs players would be what I end up assuming.

Jeez, isn’t being a fan supposed to be fun? Or is it about being angry over something?

  21. We voted the guy into the All Star Game to show our support for him. Believe it or not, it took a campaign to get the votes in. We’ve done our part. Now it’s on him

  22. Long overdue and probably too little, too late. This offense couldn’t have been much worse without him and now they’ll literally be without him.

  23. Is there anything left to talk about with this team? A seven to nothing beatdown at home by our rival. I don’t know what’s worse giving up seven or not scoring.

  24. If he was gonna wait this long, the pirates series at home would have been the one to sit him for multiple days. CC sucks.
