Doesn’t help the FO only let them takeoff with 1 engine

The one engine that’s working, we’re gonna trade it in the off-season and “rebuild.”
If the lambert expansion taught us anything, it’s that STL doesn’t do runways well.
I saw a story, I think from the Post, about their ticket sales being down and will try to earn those fans back. It’s like rocket science for people in the Cardinals office on why we aren’t showing up.
Maybe at some point, we can have more than one of our regular infielders on the diamond at the same time?
The runway was a lie. I came into the season with the mindset that Gorman and Walker each needed to take at least 500 PA to really call it “runway,” and that’s not going to happen.
The Cardinals have 37 games left to play. Let’s assume 4 PA per game (some will be more, but just go with me here), so that’s ~148 potential PAs for them to add.
Gorman currently has 273 PA, add 148 to get 421 for the season. Far short of 500, and only 19 more than last year’s 402.
Walker currently has 290 PA, add 148 to get 438 for the season. Again, not close to 500. He already surpassed last year’s total when he spent most of the year in AAA, but will still have fewer than the 465 he got his rookie year.
And that’s if those guys actually play every game from here on out and average 4 PAs per game, which they almost certainly won’t. I understand both have had stints on the IL, but they have also had stretches where they were healthy and available but benched.
Alec Burleson is on pace to have fewer PAs than last season as well, although it will be close.
It’s super-hot, games are expensive to attend and we’re in a “reset” year.
Ownership: why is attendance down?
Quite unfortunate I have to agree
Runway season means letting the kids play no matter how badly they perform. That is what the Cardinals are doing. What exactly did you think was going to happen?
-VS2 starting every game
-Libertore in the rotation all season
-Walker starting every game
-Herrera starting every game when healthy
-Gorman fills in when needed
This is the exact definition of a runway season…
On top of is being miserable outside and a financial investment just go to a game…. in the nosebleeds, what is the draw?
Like honestly. Compared to other teams who arent even good. We know we arent winning, do we have a stud #1 prospect to look forward to? No
Do we have a Pujols type of player everyone wants to see? No.
Do we have actual young exciting players on a mid team? No
Do we have unexpected no-hitters or triple plays like other mid teams? No
So what is there? Cardinals games are the complete opposite of “you never know what you’ll see on a given night”
The only runway worth caring about at this point of the season is Bozo Mozo. His takeoff is thankfully right on track (although I would have preferred ten years earlier). Too bad he can’t take his delusional supporters with him.
It felt like the entire 400 section was empty friday night against the Yankees. My kids wanted to see Goldschmidt and Judge. Our all-star is a light hitting utility infielder. Our other potential stars are always hurt or still trying to figure it out. Walker is a waste of potential.
Runners at 2nd and 3rd, no out. Walker flies out to the 1b. Saggase has a horrible AB, ends up with the backwards K (pathetic) then a weak contact out. That’s the story of this, and the last 3 seasons. Even when the table is set, nobody steps up.
You people are insufferable. This is what they said they were gonna do. Now you’re pissed lol.
Hahahah! Well done. Says it all.
I haven’t believed in the FO ever since they fired Mike Schildt
The games against Colorado are some of the worst stretches of baseball I’ve ever seen.
