  1. What an annoying day of baseball, long time since we had one of those.

Get em one of the next two and you leave Chicago with a 7 game lead. Think we can all live with that.

  2. Going into this series I wanted at least 2 wins just to keep the lead 7. Luckily we have 2 more chances to get 1 more win, but yeah today sucked. Losing twice in a day is never fun especially to the fucking Cubs. The rainout definitely killed our momentum from yesterday. Ashby saved the bullpen today that is the positive.

  3. Bad bad bad bad day of baseball. Have to hope Joey’s knee isn’t anything serious 🤞

  4. Miz said his last outing was good experience. Well you’re about to have a big game tomorrow my dude, hope you crush it.

  5. Well that sucked total ass. G1 was competitive but this was just a total beat down. Felt way worse than a 3 run loss.

Team is still great but they’ve quietly lost the last 3/4. A win tomorrow would be dandy…

  6. We set our bar too high, got too comfortable winning. Time to rein it in and put these fucking Cubs back in their place.

  7. What if i were to tell you that not only can we still win the series, but we could also gain a game after all of this. This isnt the end of the world folks.

  8. last time we lost two games back to back was jul 25/26 and shortly after that we started our 14 game winning streak. need to bounce back and look alive tomorrow

  9. Well today sucked. Just as I decided to go all in on the team we lose twice in one day to the cubs.

  10. Not good. We’ll have to see if this is just an off day or a sign of things to come.

  11. Brewers played some sloppy uninspired baseball today and in doing so gave the cubs a huge momentum boost. The injuries are piling up and the pitching staff is worn thin. These next couple weeks could be some ugly baseball and it will be tough to tread water. Mis starts tomorrow and thats essentially another bullpen game for an already taxed staff. Guy just cant throw strikes right now and I doubt he gets past the 2nd inning. Just gotta grind through this tough stretch coming up and hope for the best. Hopefully we are still in first when we come out of it on 9/2. Baseball isn’t for the weak of heart. Let’s hope they can get everything clicking again come september/October.

  12. I really am not trying to be a doomer, but if this lead gets to within 5 games, I will feel sick to my stomach

  13. Murphy mentioned during the last win streak that the team was going to have to learn how to deal with times when things weren’t going so well. I’d say being swept by the Cubs in a double header could apply to this. We’ll see how they respond tomorrow.

  14. Can’t blame the ump 2nd inning for this one. Cubs outplayed the Brewers today, unfortunately.

As frustrating as Bears beating the Packers. Never should happen no matter the circumstance.

    FTC.

  15. The team looks defeated. Vibes were terrible in this game, I hope they come out and play hard tomorrow because tonight was tough to watch.

  16. Both games were tense. Playoff atmosphere. Let’s see how these guys bounce back. Two more games to go.

  17. We let their starters go deep and their A pen will be able to go tomorrow without issues. Our defense fell apart which felt like the one thing that never faltered during this winning run even if the bats did. And both games the at bats were lifeless and we found ways to shoot ourselves in the foot whenever possible.

Some losses feel like they’ll be easy to just brush off but not these two.

  18. Well you knew they would cool off at some point and not necessarily crater but go through another stretch. Just hoped it wouldn’t be against the Cubs. Let’s just hope it’s not the start of something longer term

Edit: also getting banged up today really sucks with Ortiz leaving the game hope he’s alright this was my biggest fear at the deadline. Being an injury away from having to see Mona in the field everyday. And hopefully Sal is still ok after that slide at first

  19. The only thing I hate more than losing, is losing to the f—-ing Cubs. Especially twice in a row

Team will rally and bounce back. CHC was given a gift with the rainout last night, so one bad day doth not a season make

  20. Bad days are gonna happen, have to pick up the pieces and move on. Really hope Joey is alright though.

  21. hopefully Miz doesn’t have a complete meltdown again. kid has not looked right since the ASB

  22. You win some, you lose some. Shake it off and come back tomorrow. One game at a time

  23. Hear me out: this is a good thing. They have 36 games to do a swoon and adjust. I would rather see this young team hit a wall right now and adjust, than hit the wall in the playoffs.

  24. Not worried but we need a great game from Miz tomorrow just because we need a win and because he needs to get back on track.

  25. Looks like Ortiz knee issues were more from fouling a ball off his knee as opposed to non contact (X rays negative). He’ll be out tomorrow, but still good news.

  26. Today sucked. The baseball was sloppy and potentially resentful unless, pat and the boys hold themselves accountable.

Miz already had his bandaid ripped odd. Now he gets to hurt the cubs (emotionally, no wild pitches please).

Things have been weird ever since pulling Myers too early against the reds. Everyone needs to settle and focus and call themselves out. Then get back to movi g forward as a whole ass team.

  27. So that’s what it feels like when nothing goes your way, I’d almost forgotten.

At least I can say with confidence that that ump was wack as hell

  28. Love that Murph knows the guys should cool off now so we can avoid peaking early and make another run in October

  29. This whole series was designed to kill the Brewers. Four game series at this point with an added extra day game on the road was something even the best team couldn’t overcome, especially when your opponent is one of the better teams in baseball. I want to split one of the next two, but I get a bad feeling it just goes sideways and we lose 1-4. Either way, we still have a big lead. Just got to hope the resilience and momentum the team built doesn’t get chewed up by our rivals in a brutal series.

  30. Cubs fan here. I was at the game. They were competitive in the one I attended. I think defense was the deciding factor. Let’s keep it up. We got two more against you guys. I expect more close games the next two days.

  31. Sometimes to see a team’s character, it’s best to get punched in the mouth. Eager to see how these men respond. They won’t cower away, they’ll rise to the occasion.
