Historically, the redsox organization doesn't value the bull pen as does most other teams. THEY HAVE ALWAYS HAD A SOFT UNDERBELLY.
Given the evolution of the game and starters only averaging 6 innings at best. having a COMPLETE pen is now critical for playoff teams. The Sox have, by mid-July, had more one-run losses than in ANY other season in their history.
Did they acquire a RH solid RH reliever at the deadline? NO.
Did they acquire a solid RH reliever during this winter? NO.

Both Story n Toro swing at pitches out of the strike zone without a called strike on them. If Story just takes a strike he would have fotten to a 3-1 count. If he walks we win, but the idiot swings at the very first pitch. Toro hits into a dp on a pitch he wouldnt have had to swing at if he just went up to the plate with the idea of taking a strike. Alex doesn't have a take sign–well he needs one.
I like Cora, but when he going to give up this stupid sacrifice bunting nonsense. This has cost us a couple of games in the last week.
