Is John Wall a Hall of Famer? | NBA’s Best & Worst Big Rotations RANKED | AD the MOST Overrated?

This week, we’re kicking off our positional previews by examining the bigs. With the Nuggets adding Jonas Valančiūnas, do they have the best center duo, or does a team like the Minnesota Timberwolves, with Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle, have the best overall frontcourt in the league? We also identify the teams, like the Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Hornets, who are seriously lacking in size and depth.

The conversation then moves to some of the league’s biggest news, starting with John Wall’s retirement and whether his five All-Star appearances are enough for a spot in the Hall of Fame. Then, we look at the Dallas Mavericks, where the local experts believe an MVP-level season from Anthony Davis could vault them into the Finals conversation. This sparks a passionate discussion about AD’s true value, his consistency, and whether he’s ever been the best player on a true contender. We also get into which other players, like Ja Morant, could have a career year and thrust their team into the title picture. Finally, our Tournament of Moves continues with a clash of styles: Magic Johnson’s no-look pass versus Tim Duncan’s bank shot.

  1. Julius Randle is not a center. The Wolves might be best cuz they have Gobert, Reid, Berenger.

Joker is great but it's really hard to imagine the addition of valuncionus [sp?] makes any team's bigs the best.

Worst bigs? That's easy–the Celtics. Wiseman can play, so can Jackson if either can recover from their injuries. Huff is a pretty good player and fits well with their style of play. The Celtics are a no-brainer. Queta, Garza and maybe late second-round pick Williams–no brainer.

AD is a hall-of-famer, elite at both ends. How many centers can you give the ball and say go get a bucket? C'mon, that's ridiculous. What is AD elite at? Yes, rim protection, he's an excellent defender. He can score in low post with either hand and can shoot threes. What more do you want?

Most overrated NBAer award goes to Jaylen Butterfingers Brown.

Not functional? Just flash? There's a difference between a no-look pass and a look-away pass. Both have their place and are often effective. You look away to make the defense think you've decided not to pass in a given direction and then you pass in that direction, A no-look is when you are trying to make the defense think you don't see an open man when you do. If you look at the man you pass to you alert the defense to him. It's pretty clear Matt Moore doesn't know much about basketball.
