Why would the reds be picked over the royals for the NL Midwest?
Why even have divisions at this point. Just have leagues/conference like NHL
I’m not a fan of moving historic teams between the leagues. If you want to flip Rockies and Rays or something similar ok but moving multiple teams each way should be a non starter.
Not sensible at all. 4-team divisions is ridiculous. This proposal would break up Dodgers-Giants, which is dumb. Also, what do the playoffs look like under this format? There will probably be a team with a losing record in the playoffs most years. Would much rather have 4 divisions of 8 teams each. You give the 4 division winners a bye, then you have either second place teams get in automatically or you do wildcards or some combo of both.
Any alignment that has all NL teams in one area of the country and AL teams in another is stupid. Same with having two teams from the same city in the same division. It really limits the number of teams traveling to some of those big markets.
I don’t see MLB putting the Yankees and Mets in the same division. You’d never have a chance at a Subway Series. I’d swap the Orioles or Nationals with the Mets.
Flip the White Sox and Brewers otherwise you’re just moving teams for the fun of it.
I honestly think the classic 8 teams from each league should be 1 division per league and the teams that came after 1960 should be the other. I think history is far more important than geography
CLE BAL PIT WASH Division is so gross

Bro. That’s looks like it was lifted from a reddit post I made like 12-13 years ago. BRB gonna check…
