The Toronto Raptors have a TOP-4 ceiling, but a DEPRESSING floor | Will it all click in 2025-26?
The Toronto Raptors have a higher ceiling than most national media types seem to think is possible, but there’s absolutely some disaster potential here as well. In Episode 1928, Sean Woodley and James Herbert (CBS Sports) talk about the ceiling, floor and median outcomes for the wild card Raptors going into the 2025-26 NBA season. Off the top, Sean and James chat about how if Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, Brandon Ingram and Immanuel Quickley all adapt their games to fit with one another, there is absolutely room for the Toronto Raptors to be a playoff team in the wide open Eastern Conference. Plus, are Brandon Ingram and/or Scottie Barnes capable of being ceiling-raisers? Next, Sean and James run through the disaster outcome, where the team is a disjointed mess, but ultimately too talented to truly tank to the bottom of the East in a year that makes the contracts on the books look even less favourable than they look right now. Lastly, Sean and James make their best guess as to what will actually happen with the team. Is a finish between 6th and 8th in the East where some stuff goes well, and the next moves for the team make themselves more clear than they are right now on the table?

Ingram and Barrett both average more or less 5 assists per game. I see the comparison of Gay/Derozan to a degree, but I don’t see it being an issue in terms of hogging the ball
Brandon InGOAT
On the bright side, the young players got a development year in. There were lots of injuries last year. Let's give these fellows a chance to put it all together.
They could shock a lot of people
Only 3 Raptors shot the three above league average last year. One starter – Quickly then Ochai and Battle. We cant have another season hearing “raptors 2-12 from deep so far” Its 2025 you need to be able to shoot 3’s. That and health are my only two concerns. This team has a lot going for it really stoked to see how it pans out
Go Raps!
Why they called the team temple thats horrible a name, i can't watch a team called temple 😑
10:22 – it's like Scottie rookie year, playoffs, but that happened in the same series. Having almost a triple-double in his debut, beng the most dominant guys on 4/6 FG, and 7/9 FTs, then Embiid stepped On his foot.
He returned for game 4, but was most likely pushing it because he wanted to compete.
Against the bigger names, higher level, you see that look, it's different. But I think 90% of people miss that completely.
This is going to be a very fun season.
Ive never heard so much "the sky is falling" i believe Ingram is way better than people give him credit. Hes balling in the eastern Conference now. They will win 42 games this season.
I suggest that the real best-case scenario is that Scottie becomes the dominant star that the Raptors have always envisaged. If that happens then it will just be a matter of adjusting the roster around him and they have many ways of doing that. I am expecting that to happen- everything has been directed towards that outcome.
