CRISIS: Houston Astros’ Offense VANISHES for 31 Innings | Will Correa’s SPEECH Ignite a Turnaround?

Join Eric Huysman and Brett Chancey for the Locked On Astros podcast to discuss the Astros getting swept by the Tigers. They weren’t shut out, but they lost again as they prepared to fly to Baltimore. Framber Valdez gave up seven runs, which might as well be a million with how the offense is recently. Taylor Trammell got injured in the game.

Houston Astros’ playoff hopes hang by a thread after a disastrous sweep by the Detroit Tigers. Can the struggling offense find its rhythm before it’s too late?

Host Eric breaks down the Astros’ recent woes, including a 31-inning scoreless streak and Framber Valdez’s concerning performance. Carlos Correa’s attempt to rally the team takes center stage as injuries mount and roster challenges loom. With a crucial series against the Baltimore Orioles on the horizon, Heisman analyzes potential lineup changes and pitching matchups that could make or break Houston’s season.

Tune in for an in-depth look at the Astros’ path forward and whether they can recapture their winning form in time to secure a playoff berth.

  1. Time to move on from all these "emergency pick up", temporary vets who are not hitting. Bring these young prospects back up and let them play / develop. At least it will be fun watching them develop and they are the future. As nice as the coach is – he should go now. He clearly has no feel for the game. If i can "sense" a pitcher hasn't got it on my couch…surely he can on the field. Replace them BEFORE they put the game out of reach. Here's a hint – If your 8th inning pitcher walks the bases loaded…replace him before the grand slam or 3 run double rather than after.

  2. By now it’s a collective head situation; like a mental block. Batters can’t anticipate pitches; they don’t extend turns at bat; they can’t see the ball; they can’t make contact with RISP. So frustrating and so disappointing.

  3. Dead, just dead! Send the entire team down to AAA and bring the AAA team up. Couldn't be any worse. Houston pitching has always been top tier, right now it is nothing but embarrassment.
