  1. I hated the Tucker trade the moment it was announced. I was against it because I didn’t think there was any chance of the Ricketts coughing up the money to extend him. “Giving away” Cam Smith for a one year rental seemed like a massive overpayment. I never envisioned hating the trade even more as the season went on because I now loath seeing Tucker at the plate …. rolling over another pitch, bouncing out softly to the right side of the infield. It’s a strange world we live in.

  2. I’m really losing respect for Counsell. Removing Shaw is insane! Caisie too! It really appears that he’s analytic crazy. I’m so sick of this. The Cubs hired the wrong person from Milwaukee.

  3. Is Counsell being paid by the Brewers? After everyone landing the efforts of Shaw and Cassie. Who have been the reason we took three in a row. He sits them and plays the guy with a broken hand who has been nothing short of a disaster. O for 4. A clumsy play in right field! And then when we were at least within a small chance of still pulling it out. He brings the worst reliever we have !!! Brasier is on his way to the land of DFA. SHOTA deserved better. Counsell has to go. This is another of about 8 loses his managing has caused. It is unacceptable.

  4. This was the WORST managerial decision today that I've ever seen in my life! In what world do you bench your two hottest hitters and energy guys in the middle of a 3 game winning streak against the division leader?! Counsell is awful taking the temperature of the team.

  5. I don’t know where to begin with the negligence and malfeasance of Tucker, Counsell and the brass of this organization. To keep Tucker in the lineup for 6 weeks in his condition when everyone (accept the media and fans!) knew about a fracture in his hand, which has been causing him to be one of the worst players in the majors during that stretch; and then to finally sit him and watch Shaw and Cassie lead us to 3 straight wins over the team that you’re trying to catch in the division; then in the last game of the series which is a 2 game swing, not starting your 2 best sluggers and starting Tucker who (did I mention has been one of the worst players in baseball the past 6 weeks) by doing so were setting him up to fail! Tucker should be ashamed for putting himself before the team for so long. Counsell should be lambasted for his ineptitude. And Hoyer and Hawkins should be hung by their ankles from the foul poles so the fans can pelt them with various foods and drinks for an entire series. I think we all know in our gut that if Shaw, Cassie and Kelly started today, we’d be riding high heading out west, 5 games back and on a 4 game winning streak. Now we’re 7 games back and what does Counsell have to say after the game?…”Yeah…to lose this one stings, for sure”. What an absolute, unmitigated disgrace.

  6. Look no offense to the guy cuz we all hope he does well but, the team had a different more positive vibe with Tucker out of the lineup. ONKC and Shaw should have been in the lineup today to possibly take 4 out of 5 games from their division rival. It didn’t look like they needed a rest. Happ and Tucker should not have been in that lineup today. They were on a roll and CC for some weird reason decided to sit Shaw and ONKC. Why the hell is Happ still batting 2nd???? If Tucker and Happ are going to be in the lineup then they need to bat 7th, 8th or 9th. Turang played Tucker perfectly in that bottom 8th inning that doubled Busch off, they knew exactly where to play him.

  7. This shows why counsel is 💩 for manager. He sits the two young guys that help them win in game five. I guess he felt bad for his old team. This manager is garbage. Don’t think the players don’t realize he’s making wrong moves on the team. Man he SUCKS!!!!!!

  8. Ikyle tucker has checked out , he is a lolly gagger . Play owen cassie and play matt shaw , castillo needs to play left not third every other game . Happ is in a slump all year except three week stretch earlier

  9. Because Counsel is a complete idiot. The same reason that he allowed Dansby to play with a bad knee and hernia, and he allowed Nico to play with a fractured hand and bad elbow.

  10. They did on thing right. They did not trade Cassie. We have there young stars. Cassie, PCA and Shaw. Thank God. We should of kept Bellinger. Cubs wait to long to bring up young players. Tucker don't like Chicago.

  11. Moises Ballesteros hit that bases-clearing double against the Brewers and was immediately sent down to triple-A. Benching the guys who create any kind of spark seems to be habitual. Somebody needs to look into betting activity within this organization. Start with Counsell.

  12. Don’t bring somebody into pitch who over his last nine games has an era of 14.56 in a one run game. Does someone being hot or cold matter to him at all ? the track record says no

  13. Hats off to you guys and the Cubs and their fans in general. The Cubs are a great team and even though I'm a Brewers fan this series is always fun. I'm hoping for a Cubs-Brewers NLCS. It would be nerve wracking but also fun.

  14. bad luck charm back in the lineup and L's begin again…..can Tucker NOT bat in top of lineup if he plays? Hoerner, Owen and Shaw need to be in top 4. Seiya, Tucker and PCA are most inept slug group in the majors currently

  15. He's not the only one struggling with the bat the whole offense has been cold. The run production has been bad compared to the first half of the season

  16. Besides writing out the lineup what does Craig bring to the coaching table?
I was excited when they signed him But he doesn’t believe in matchups has been unable to handle the bullpen the entire year, find a spark for them offensively. No one hitting 290 or above. 1 guy above 260?
