From the article:
"Boomer Esiason read his invite to the Bengals' ring of honor ceremony verbatim during his episode of Boomer & Gio on Friday morning, and it's more mind-boggling than you can possibly imagine.

• Former players will need to pay for their own flights to Cincinnati

• They were told to "RSVP quickly" to ensure they have a discount code for a hotel room, which they still need to pay for

• The players are only given two tickets to Jets vs.
Bengals, with the option to purchase more

• They had one day to respond to the team and say whether they're going" The tickets aren't even for a box, just in the stadium stands

  1. Mike Brown is so cheap that he flips paper plates over and uses the other side before throwing it away.

  2. Paul Brown could generate infinite energy rolling in his grave watching his descendants fuck everything up.

  3. Cheapness overrides “being a family first, traditional football team” I guess.

Front office speed running “killing offseason hype” this year between questionable draft, questionable free agency, questionable Trey negotiations, defense looks bad, now this.

In what should be our hayday with the best QB/WR in the league, instead existence is pain.

  4. Jesus Christ, I know it’s not on the field play, but it’s stuff like this that reinforces a negative, cynical culture from Cincinnati management. I don’t know, if I was a humble billionaire nepo son, I would make sure to honor the past greats to set an example to current players that their work is valued and appreciated. This nickel and dime BS does long term damage to the Bengals culture, but the Brown family has a memory of a goldfish. Daniel Plainview would treat the players better.

  5. Being a Bengals fan is so embarrassing sometimes. My gosh, they are so ridiculous.

  6. Introducing the Bengals 2026 season tickets swag basket, wait it’s just an old Cool Whip container with a tiger sticker on it…

  7. oh my god. this is actually embarrassing. i usually just ignore / don’t care when the national talking heads (SAS, McAfee, etc.) talk shit about the bengals but this is Boomer. Assuming this is true (I’m sure it is because why would Boomer make that up?) that is downright disrespectful and embarrassing by the organization.

  8. I really wanted to find a way to spin this in a way that would actually make sense, given what I deemed a ‘new era’ in the Bengals franchise.

But no, this is ridiculous. You can draft a Burrow, but you’ll always be the Bengals as long as Mike Brown is still using public oxygen.

  9. “They’re millionaires and my boss doesn’t pay me anything worth a fuck so why should I care! They can buy their own flights!” -average Cincinnati sports fan on Facebook whenever shit like this or the Gatorade stories come up.

  10. Yeah… I usually don’t pile on because I’m used to the frugality of the team but this is out of pocket.

Take care of your legends. Don’t do this.

  11. The man doesn’t trim his nose hair. Of course he’s cheap. Riding his daddy’s coattails his whole life. Terrible owner. I would tell to his face. Too worried about his whole family working and making a living on the backs of Football players. He gives nothing back

  12. How much would it cost themselves to bring in the 20 or so people for 2 nights? $20-30k maybe? How is it possible to be this fucking cheap with a franchise worth 5 BILLION dollars. If this is causing actual financial stress on the Brown/Blackburn family then SELL THE FUCKING TEAM

  13. So how are people going to blame this on the “doomers” or a national media conspiracy?

  14. All of the legends should simply refuse to participate.. Can’t have Ring of Honor without them so take a stand against their bullshit.
