Expected better out of our fanbase. But so many "brewer fans" have taken this George Webb promo as a huge opportunity to make money. It's pretty gross.

Also, who tf wants an AI picture of Ueck. If I saw that hanging in someone's house, I'd laugh my ass off. Just put a real picture of him! Wtf

  1. I was just skimming over new posts….Funny how I mis-read that as Brewers Gouge Webb….And it’s probably not an actual fan – just a grifter.

  2. This is stupid. Nobody is buying that.

People list all kinds of shit on Ebay for stupid prices hoping to find a sucker.

  3. There has never been a time where society wasn’t predatory, but it feels all encompassing and particularly in authentic today

  4. I think the idea kind of neat. I’ve probably mentioned Ueck a dozen times this year while discussing the Brewers. I’m not paying 75 bucks for it though.

  5. I don’t get why ppl are angry about it, plenty of ppl create memorabilia with the most random but usually for themselves. Okay, they are trying to make a few bucks $100, not like it’s 1,000. I dont have a problem with it, as long as they’re not mass producing it

  6. The overall free burger deal at George Webb following the Brewers 12 game winning streak? Very cool, and a wonderful way for baseball teams to have support from local sponsors.

That AI slop next to the voucher? Not cool at all.

  7. They aren’t brewers fans or good people. Just a reminder why people use and abuse good people. George Webb is losing millions of dollars by honoring something with prices and inflation. That they made a joke about aong time ago. That free burger costs them 3 dollars a burger. Someone has to make it , package and some people don’t even tip or contribute. If you’re in a chow line and being ugly. Enjoy your experience.

  8. So George Webb is making no profit off the promotion? They pay out once every 38 years FFS

  9. Speaking of exploitation, have you seen the ticket prices on Brewers.com for Sunday’s game and the Uecker Celebration of Life?

The cheapest single ticket is SRO, which is $57. The cheapest actual seats are Terrace Infield, which are $73 apiece. The same seats are $22 on an average weekday night. These are tickets being sold by the Brewers and MLB, not the second hand market. I understand supply and demand, but this seems scummy given it’s for Bob’s celebration of life.
