  1. Joe Siddall made the best, and most truthful comment the other day – he said: this is why you have a lead, because of periods where you're not running on high octane. Now he didn't say "high octane" but that was the message. And if I had my own Blue Jays channel on the Tube, Joe Siddall would have been my lead story but I don't so I'll shut the f@ck up! ..However, I will say to the people who believe that losing games in April-June are nothing because there's lots of season left – when you're able to build a 5 gamer leading the chase, those games you already won are ALLOWED to be absorbed in the 5 game cushion. IF you NEED to win games right now desperately to keep pace, means you don't have the cushion and are most likely the 2nd place-3rd place team or leading the division by a mere half-game. Yes games are important BUT you've earned yourself some time to re-group.

  2. Many very good Double A pitchers just skip Triple A and go up to the big leagues, so it's not like Tresavage will have to start many more games in Buffalo. He would be a big secret weapon coming out of that BP in the playoffs though pitching in any inning especially high leverage as the league doesn't know him at all. I think Shapiro will at least make sure he is up to Toronto in time for the playoffs if not before.

  3. Just image the possibility next year – Shane Bieber returns to form and the jay extend him, then Alec Manoah returns to form, Kevin Gausman is still good, Jose Berrios bounces back and Trey Yesavage progresses fine. That's one hell of a starting rotation.

  4. Yesa coming to the bigs this year would be a massive mistake – but right on queue from the development challenged Shatkin's team and a clear sign they have never been around the winning circle enough to make crucial play-off winning decisions. Let Shapiro and his 20+ year losing heater go be commissioner and bring AA for President.
