Seems dumb to me to try and do this for this season. They’ve still gotta figure out what young guys they want and don’t want.
If he’s actually cleared legally, then I see no reason not to at least bring him in to talk.

He’s 28 and can shoot the lights out while playing passable defense. If he’s coming for the MLE, it’s a no brainer. I am aware that it would give us yet another 2 that cant guard big wings, but you figure that out later. Also gives you Mathurin insurance.

I like our teams chemistry and don’t see him adding much value in that regard. Plus I would rather not see a player on our team do a fortnite twerk after hitting a three

Been one of the biggest trash talkers against us the last two seasons. His infamous “they don’t wanna see us in the playoffs” comment when he played with the Bucks… And then we knocked them out of the playoffs. Then they dumped him and he went to Detroit and helped renew that rivalry with us before fumbling away their last possession of the year.. Potentially on purpose leading to an offseason gambling investigation…

Nah the pacers don’t really need him unless one of the gaurds went out with an injury. He had a good year he’s going to try to go to a place where he’s getting at least 20-25 a game. Perhaps there’s some destinations he can start. It will be harder than before because it’s late in free agency and everything. He’s going to sign a minimum deal somewhere where he can play.
