Get. Miles. Mikolas. Off. My. Team.
Tampa Bay Rays most valuable player of the game: Miles Mikolas
Woof. Happy for Church though
Why do they keep putting him on the bump every 4-5 days? He stinks! It’s the definition of insanity.
I did not really enjoy that, ngl.
The absolute worst part of that game was the little boy in front of me who is seven years old… he was torn between the Cardinals and rays… although he was wearing a cardinal jersey and hat he was cheering more for the rays since he was local.
We caught Willson Contreras attention a few times I was just praying he would toss us a ball during warm-ups to sway this kids allegiance for life and it never happened..
Come on guys. Miles was just one or two pitches away from a perfect game. If it wasn’t for all those hits, it would have been a good outing.
(/s for those who are too worn down to pick up on sarcasm. I’m with ya.)
Fucking Mikolas. Happy for Church though.
We are almost 5 months into the season and Mikolas has proven two things. 1) He’s a pretty good pitcher at home 2) He’s one of the worst on the road. The Cardinals are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. I’ve believed for a month that Oli should only pitch Miles at home. Had he held him back a couple games here he could have pitched at home against the Pirates. The way it is now he’ll probably pitch next in Cincy. How do you think that will turn out? I know it’s hard to tweak your pitching staff like that but it seems we have no chance to win road games with Miles pitching so why pitch him on the road?
Cardinals should have traded for Shane Bieber at the deadline it would’ve been a steal, and it would’ve helped them next year
Cards lose 6-10. Miles Mikolas record 6-10. Coincidence? Yes.
ERAs for our starting rotation
* Mikolas: 5.17
* Pallante: 5.17 (really!)
* Gray: 4.33
* Fedde/McGreevy: 5.22/4.22
* Liberatore, our ace: 4.13, which is an ERA+ of 100
Well…at least they didn’t lose by just one and make it torturous.
Gorman in base 3 times tonight. His OBP is quite a bit higher than Noot over the last 30 games. He’s staring to look like a solid player.
Mikolas jersey/merchandise bonfire at my place, byob
