  1. Great outing from Assad ✅

HR from Tuck and PCA ✅

Danny P throwing gas and a clean inning ✅

  2. Big W, happy to see tuck and PCA homer, hopefully that marks the start of them figuring it out. Offense still as concerning as ever though.

  3. Pat so psyched that Palencia K’d Trout

He kept talking about it in the postgame

  4. Beautiful 9th inning! PCA & Tucker big flys – let’s start making that a regular occurrence from here through October 🙏

  5. I love how he gassed the first two and then through nothing but splitters to the scary man

    Big smart

  6. PCA taking some of the most miserable swings we’ve seen from him, and he ends up hitting the game-winning homer.

    Baseball!

  7. It definitely looks like we’re coming out of it at the right time. This is about the point last year that the Tigers went on a tear.

  8. Things are moving towards a strong finish. Tucker and PCA, but can’t forget Happ getting robbed of one as well. And Shaw’s defense. Holy cow.

We need a GIF of Counsell’s reaction to PCA’s HR.

  9. Seiya, Tucker, and PCA all get RBIs? Palencia gets a 1-2-3 save? Multiple homers hit in the same game?

This doesn’t feel as much like August (even the weather here is confused).

  10. We’ve got Tucker and PCA coming out of their slumps. We’ve got Matt Shaw emerging as a star defender. Assad back and pitching great for the first time this year. Our bullpen continues to dominate.

A lot to like about today.

  11. If Tucker and PCA can get back in a groove then it’s on like Donkey Kong. And I’ll take Assad in good form too.

  12. I’ve seen enough! Shaw is the 3B of the future. Dude is a vacuum out there!

  13. 2 or 3 hits away from this game being a blow out, the Cubs put pressure on the pitchers, and even though they didn’t convert base runners in to runs as frequently as we’d all like, it’s refreshing to see them have a lot of competitive at-bats. First comes the runners, then come the runs
