Everytime this team has me at my knees they call up the best pitching prospect in baseball and they suck me right back in.
What an absolutely insane performance from Bubba, especially to get out of that lead off double. Three straight fastballs, got demolished by Arcia and next at bat switched it up with breaking balls down and then to finishing him off with a fastball up and away.

I am not sure you know what the term “We are so back” means.
The season is lost.
The roster is trash.
The owner doesn’t care and uses the team as a personal profit center.
You enjoyed a nice pitching performance. I am glad you were able to do that.
That said, this team is not “back” by any means. It has an incredibly bleak future with no signs of improvement whatsoever while Nutting owns the team. It has arguably the worst future of any professional sports team in all of North America.
But like yeah…. Cool strikeout.
They will have a good to great to fucking amazing starting pitching next year. And the bullpen should be at least adequate. But around the diamond???
1b Horowitz league average need a platoon 2b Gonzalez average SS waiting on Griffin CF Cruz slightly above average. DH Reynolds slightly above average we hope.

That leaves 3B and two outfield spots to improve a putrid offense. I really think no great free agent will come here. They are one all star and two above average bats from being wild card contenders.
Forgive me father It has been 41 yers since my last confession. I like Tommy Pham . I think he tries hard. Let him be the fourth outfielder. Can he learn to play a little 1B?
This team has the making of a fucking great starting staff. But it will be almost impossible to get free agents to come. But they have to blow someone away and trade a good young arm.
They have the hardest part figured out . I hate Nutting. He’s a Hillybilly thief. But Let’s Go BUCS!!!!

Browny was saying he was hot at the beginning of the year, but struggled his last few starts. Then goes out to pitch 4 shutout innings in the majors. And the Pirates bring him up when he’s apparently struggling, but when our seasons over…makes no sense🤦🏻♂️
My first thought when he got called up was, great he’s coming up when we have 2-4 minor league bats in our line-up on any given night and possibly lose confidence because he can’t get a win…then he gets a save on his debut lol🤷🏻♂️
Don’t get excited. The Rockies are literally the worst team in sports right now. Look at their record they’ve won like 37 games or something.

It would be so easy to fix this team in the offseason it’s stupid. We know they refuse to do it but it shouldn’t be hard. They could add Bo Bichette and Gleyber Torres for less than $50 mil per year. Trade Mitch for one of the Red Sox outfielders (they should’ve done this at the deadline) and roll with a rotation of Skenes, Chandler, Oviedo, Ashcraft, Burrows. They could have a top rotation in baseball, a totally revamped lineup and STILL have less than $100 million payroll after shedding the Mitch and Hayes contracts, but instead they’re going to sign 3 free agent veteran bats in their late 30s to one year contracts and an aging pitcher that we don’t need.
