BREAKTHROUGH: Jalen Suggs is ready for his PERFECT role for Orlando Magic

Jalen Suggs has been out of action since late January. It is easy to forget all the things he adds to the team. And his role will indeed be changed with the addition of Desmond Bane.

But it should put Suggs in a spot to make the most of his vast talents. He has proven when he and the team are healthy that he can be an elite catch-and-shoot option. With the Magic acquiring another scorer in Desmond Bane, this could put Suggs in a position to win Most Improved Player and be the kind of player who elevates the Magic into contention.

  1. Bane's presence creates space for everyone. If Suggs can stay healthy, he is going to have a stand out year. I think Carter will see his numbers improve too.

  2. Jalen Suggs is not a playmaker. Not a point Guard. The lack of a playmaker hurt KCP,Wagner, and Banchero last year. Banchero and Wagner have both said we need a playmaker WHILE SUGGS WAS PLAYING POINT GUARD. But the Magic insist on playing Him at point guard. It will hurt Banes game, and continue to hurt Wagner and Banchero. The Magic continue to carry a roster where all the guards are shooting guards- and 90% of them can’t shoot.
Until the Magic decide to get a young playmaking guard, the team will have major struggles on offense. That’s why Anfernee Simons was the player to acquire. He is a point guard that can make plays, plus shoot 3s. Bane wil struggle without a point guard- just like KCP.
    Amazing you don’t see that.

  3. Wagner shot 29.5 on 3 pointers last season. Suggs shot 31.5. Paolo shot 32. Amazing you are so concerned about Wagners 3 point shooting. 3 percentage points higher and he would be better than our other 2 stars. Plus Franz ALWAYS plays the other teams best player on defense. And Franz brings the ball up and sets our offense. He is a 6’10” point guard. He is our BEST point guard. Paolo and Suggs are below average ball handlers. Paolo is a below average defender.
Wagner is our best player. 2 percentage point on 3 point shooting means nothing.
If Wagner was forced to be our ball handler- because of Suggs poor ball handling- he could be even more productive on offense. If Franz didn’t have to play the best player on the other team defensively- he could be even more productive on Offense.
Suggs is a defense only shooting guard. The team trying to square peg/ round hole him as a point guard will keep the Magic from achieving what Bane/Wagner/Paolo are capable of. I love Suggs game and his passion. It’s not his fault that the team is trying to make him something he’s not. Instead of signing a shooting guard, we should have signed a play maker who could shoot. Then Suggs could be a defensive shooting guard- playing to his strengths

  4. Suggs is the front runner for the Most Improved Player/Comeback Player of the Year, especially if he is first team all defensive player this year!🤔🤷🏼‍♂️😱👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  5. Everyone is focused on Bane, but really if either Bane or Suggs is who we thought they were and Wendell can play like he did at the end of the playoffs throughout the season (wishful thinking, I know), the team could be legit contenders in the East.
