Anddddddddd we're off!
Love it!
Marshall looks stronger every day, his tape against the Lions in the slot was strong, even in run support where he got less reps doing that for the Gators…
the Fins may be eyeing teams like the Eagles who are deep ther and have to cut a few vs overpaying for a current top FA…plus Weaver likes how some of the young CBs are developing and they have 3 safety flex capabilities in the nickel with Minkah…
Once again, I'll repeat it — there is no QB2 competition. Hasn't been one since the start of camp. Ewers has been with the 3s and 4s for weeks now, that's not going to suddenly change with only a few weeks left before the start of regular season.
I realize that it's past the fact, but if Tyreek and/or Waddle had participated in the joint practice, the Lions would have looked worse than we did in trying to cover St.Brown! They are pretty much uncover-able in those drills! There would have been no story about our DBs looking shite in 1on1s w/Lions! I had to get that off my chest, better late than never!
To me, It's obvious why they signed Judon. You have 2 veteran Edge/LBs that are coming back from serious injuries and a young Edge in Chop who not only got banged up recently but his resume says he gets close to making sacks. Close isn't going to cut it. Judon has done it at an elite level, 17.5 and 12 sacks, I believe. The young guys who have shown a little something so far are unoroven in games and their ceiling might not even be a Judon type player. Where was the Dolphins ranked in sacks last year?
Poup – your Chubb note may help answer the Judon why now question…
god Alain stop rambling!
I tend to agree with Perks take regarding the signing of Judon at this time. We shall see.
Of all the Dolphins shows, I think yours is the best. Like that you are a straight shooter and not a Homer. Keep up the good work!
They got Brent grimes from Atlanta too didnt they perk?
Sounds like this is shaping up as a good draft class with contributors across the board . It isthe sort of draft we need to have a few more of in coming years . Pity they have whiffed on their last 2 cbs (Noah and Smith) . Fill out oline and secondary next draft . At least you can see some method this year except for Cb which is a head scratcher . Losing Kader hurt
SALUTE 🫡 Gentlemen 💯
I know it late but how did Patrick Paul go against Aiden Hutchinson in Detroit ??
Good Evening Phinz Up
Does Poup ever have anything to say that’s good about the Dolphins, if so I’ve never heard him . Every Dolphins podcast out there except this one has a few good things to say they have seen at training camp and preseason.
Perk needs to put his money where his mouth is and say what exact CB he thought they should have waited for instead of Jonah in the draft.
storm Duck got the Pick
They will be LUCKY to win 6 games.
Start the Rebuild!
HI ALAIN AND CHRIS THANK FOR THE GREAT ❤
It's always funny when a non athletic jokes about and act athlete stick to the writing
Hey, Poup. Are you still riding the Kendall Sheffield hype train? Bahahahaha!!😂 …What a joke. Remember when you said he was one of the two best cbs on the team? I mean, gimme a break, dude. I don't have anywhere near the privilege that you do in terms of having boots on the ground at practice. But I follow the league enough to know that Sheffield couldn't hold Jack Jones' jockstrap. You continue to embarrass yourself with regards to your lack of football/scouting acumen. Maybe there's a course you can take or something. Otherwise, you probably just wanna stay in your lane. Stick to historical facts and numbers pertaining to the Dolphins organization. You're good at that kinda stuff. Leave the player assessment material to folks who know what they're watching 😉
“Perk the Philosopher”
Must use this…..
Remember when Weaver said defense in "waves"…This is what he was talking about. The 2nd unit bringing just as much pressure as the first. I love the signing 🐬🩵🧡
If Ewers stinks up again cut him.
Byron Matos for sure out for the season? Was it announced?
Believe it was Fitz that got the pick off Jones PB
Great show per usual boys. I’m pretty sure I read that Asante Samuel Jr has not been medically cleared yet. I would love to have him on the team healthy and ready to go. Not sure he will be an option this year.
Poup – do you think the Dolphins signed Judson because Chubb doesn’t look great so far?
I want the season to start so this team can start getting walloped, and the coaching staff can't hide behind practice bs anymore. I'm so sick of the incompetence of this organization.
At 9:30 we hear once again how self-important the media thinks of itself. I can't stand self-absorbed, self-aggrandized local media members who think of themselves as big fish in a small pond. Perkins really thinks that the Dolphins team is making personnel decisions based on his and others inquiries and interest?!?
It's not so much as a mystery is that the Zack seiler contract extension opened this up , Greirl actually did a good job of structuring his contract where seiler gets fairly compensated and Miami gets a good deal if he can produce that's a level that Melvin Ingram produced for us in 22 and 23 I will be happy
They finally let the dog out!!
Poup that person on the Asante Samuel visit you complimented doubled down on Asante Samuel visiting Dolphins…You may have to check him I mean compliment him again.
I subscribe only to pouparts involved youtube channels, true media g.o.a.t
You guys might have answered your own question… "why sign Judon" maybe it's because Chubb isn't looking that great all camp
X didn't sign with the Dolphins because he called Grier a liar. We are in trouble in the secondary
What’s up With Stephon Gilmore is he signed or is he hurt? Does not sound like a bad one year rental right now to me..
Would they really make the administrative move of taking Waller off of PUP because of Dolphin media chatter?
Why would you sign a player who has been retired and then not put him in practice for this long? Doesn’t make any sense.
They waited to this point because they know we have to cause a lot of havoic up front. You have to make opposing qbs work faster and make them make mistakes.
Aaaaand… that's more like it sir. 😎
Judon and Gilmore were on Patriots together in'21. Maybe a re-connection?
I believe the Dolphins may be setting up a trade of Chubb…or Phillips may be feeling like he’s not what he was.. and is retiring? Yeah, a bit out there.
Great podcast Poup and Perk and like insight on Jsck Jones and Judon signing i agree for experience but we need to sign Gilmore for experience also sometime before game 2 . Keep up the great great work guys
As Poup has saif you need as many draft picks hopefully hitting on a couple. Like Perk mention if moving out to get Jonah but third round could hsve been Cornerback. Hopefully Grier had plans on getting Gilmore here don't trust Douglas like Poyer last year once a Bill always a Bill he will cost us games like Poyer
Should have spent Judon money on a better RT. McD should start Waller in the slot and make him Tua's emergency hot read as an extra layer of protection for Tua. A slot corner dealing with Waller's height, length, catch radius, braun and speed given a three way go from the slot on every play is near impossible. If Tua gets a hot read, who better to have as your emergency outlet than the 6'6, 250 lb Waller?
