  1. An “insurmountable” division lead has been cut in half in less than 1 week.

And we lost the season series tie-breaker.

I suppose you can talk to me after the D-Backs series, and if we underperform there then it’s panic time.

  2. I’m not gonna doom, I think the team is still good

But man I do not understand Seigler there

  3. “Man, I haven’t seen play this bad since the days of Bob Uecker. This is Bob Uecker saying thanks for watching.”

  4. Rough week? Fine. Embarrassed yesterday? Fine. Losing on Uecker day, and like THAT, is beyond pathetic.

This was every playoff game of the last 4 years. So many chances to close the door and nothing. Pitching blows it late. Rinse and repeat.

  5. You can’t blow this game. Last week going into Sunday the division lead was 9 now it is 5 and the Cubs have the easiest schedule and momentum. Guarantee the Giants will probably suck ass vs them too. We need to get it together again and especially be healthy.

  6. That sure did look like a tired team playing with their starting CF, SS, and multiple RPs on the IL.

Chad Patrick starts are beyond cursed.

  7. Yeah I’ll give that one to megill, would have liked to see more offense this weekend but he blew 2 saves and was lucky we got one win out of it

  8. Team is in a real funk right now. I would have liked to see Durbin get that AB at some point you have to just acknowledge Seigler ain’t it.

  9. Just a terrible loss. The lack of scoring made bullpen be perfect again.

Anyone not mildly concerned about the division with zero off days and injuries left and right better start paying attention.

5 games in 31 games is nothing in baseball.

  10. usually i can brush a loss off but man this made me actually sad…i know it’s just another game but today felt special and a win would’ve made it even more special 🙁

  11. That’s very disappointing but part of me thinks that Ueck would find it hilarious that they lost this game. He’d probably make some joke like “It’s always going to be a tough game when you field a whole team of Ueckers”

  12. please please PLEASE send siegler to the minors. He has proven time and time again he’s not ready to play on the big stage

  13. They nearly got swept by the Giants. This team has done a complete 180 over the past week.

  14. Damn. And just like that the cubs are on our ass. We better not piss away the division. We need that bye

  15. People are allowed to be concerned about the fact we’re 2-5 and can’t remember the last time we won a game by more than 2-3 runs.

Running out of lead to keep on saying “it’s no big deal!” Obviously there’s not much we can do with no days off ever and every game being super close, so idk. This is a vent post.

  16. pulling Durbin–one of the only guys who showed an ability to hit the ball today–for Seigler was coaching malpractice. this doesn’t look like a team capable of making a run in October. desperately need Jackson to come back and give this team a spark, because everything is off right now

  17. This was arguably the Brewers most unluckiest game of the year offensively. Coupled with Megil’s inability to throw anything off speed (especially for strikes) leads to a home series loss to the worst team in baseball since the all star break. Gotta get healthy…also , difference between Perkins and Lockridge in CF is light years.

  18. Somewhere, Ueck is cracking a joke, “You
see folks, thats how bad i was at baseball,
a celebration in my honor, and
    the team loses!”

  19. On Monday night the Brewers were 9 games up, and had the tiebreaker with the Cubs. By Sunday night they will likely be 5 games up without the tiebreaker. Not a good week of baseball.

  20. I don’t care what the stats say, pulling your hottest bat just to get a righty/lefty matchup for a player with a .200 average with the game on the line is brain dead

  21. Also please STFU with the consecutive games thing. We had a day off last Thursday.

They play 19 games in 18 days and we aren’t even halfway into that.

These guys all get a day off per week pretty much even when we are playing all week…

  22. The biggest disappointment of the weekend is seeing Bauers back. I’m sure he’s a good dude, but he does not play this brand of Brewers baseball.

  23. Siegler over Durbin pisses me off. Durbin had scored two of your three runs. You also pinch hit for Lockridge when he had two hits on the day.

  24. Would rather get this ugliness out of the way now, than in September/october.

You can get mad at Megil, but we’ve had multiple chances to score, and an extremely unlucky game and week, if you ask me.
