Because you sell more LA hats to kids around the country than Anaheim hats. Nobody knows where the hell Anaheim is, Sue.
So sick of this, in the US teams are usually named after metropolitan areas not strict city limits so quit acting like it’s uncommon or weird.
Go argue that there should be the Inglewood rams and Inglewood clippers, oh no one cares about Inglewood just like no one cares about Anaheim and absolutely no one names anything after a county so don’t even bother.
California Angels, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins, Florida Marlins, etc. I prefer to see them represent a state.
