Looks like Alvarez is 5 for 11 with 3 doubles. They gave him the day off yesterday. They actually had him playing in left field on Friday.
Even if he doesn’t come back the same, he’s still going to be beneficial. I believe in him. Even if he slumps a bit, he’s still a notorious game-winning powerhouse psychologically the other pitchers have to prepare for him in the lineup now. I’m sure he also boosts our morale.
Can’t wait to see Yordan, Myers, Sanchez in the outfield. Put Altuve back on 2nd. Carratini DH. That line up will put up runs.
Yordan will have no effect on “outfielders not hitting “….he’ll likely be in the DH role 90% of the time.
Though I will say he was running really well in Corpus.
