The Phoenix Mercury did not play their cards right in Vegas, falling 83–61 to the Aces. A’ja Wilson dominated with another double-double as Las Vegas controlled the game from start to finish. Alyssa Thomas kept Phoenix afloat with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists, but it wasn’t enough on a night when the Mercury shot under 30% from the floor. To make matters worse, Kahleah Copper exited early with an injury, leaving Phoenix short-handed and searching for answers. I pray this team don’t have to face the Aces in the playoffs or we’re getting our asses stomped out. Humiliating loss. Luka owns the Suns, & Aja owns the Mercury.
This is why getting the 2nd seed should have been priority over coach being hell bent on playing only 8 players, leaving shooters and centers as DNPs, and giving up games against Atlanta x2, Indiana, etc. in the process. What was working at beginning of the season should not have been changed. Once it did, the whole chemistry fell apart and got a lot of people out of rhythm due to the change in minutes distribution and different rotations that aren’t working. This big fumble in the past 3-4 weeks was avoidable.
