Why Did Kyle Tucker Play On Thursday Vs Brewers?

  1. Seriously, if you polled 100 kids, maybe 12-16 yrs old who watch this team daily, I’d say 97 out of 100 “non-baseball making $8 mil/year” normal civilian people would’ve sat Tucker again and play Cassie and Shaw. WTF are we doing here?

  2. Ya. Cubs win 3 in a row against the best team in baseball. It's all working out. One more game to go…
C.C. " I think I'll change things up, and put in an unproductive injured player, and remove the Sparkplugs of the team." Brilliant!

  3. I’ve been saying since last year thar Counsell isn’t a good manager. The Brewers front office is just good at their job…unlike the cubs. 😢

  4. sequencing and brewers hitting the ball at your fielders. nothing you did got you the win. lead back to 10 in a week. enjoy the west coast pumpkins

  5. That lineup was insane! Counsel took the two hottest players out of the game and replaced them with Kyle Tucker who was said to be injured! I would question Counsel's intentions. With that being said,I think he wanted the Brewers to win the game! He's a disgrace as a Manager!

  6. You'll see a stark difference between Murphy and Counsell once Hoskins returns from a long stint on the DL in Milwaukee. Counsell continues to play Tucker over the young redhead. Maybe it has to do with the money being paid to Tucker, I don't know. Milwaukee has Vaughn and he has been a difference maker. Hoskins will come back and he's being paid $12 million. You think Murphy will sit Vaughn for Hoskins? Not a chance.

  7. Such crap! Counsell might have the worse lineup awareness ever! Needed this win to close the gap to 5 games. Instead, its pretty much over with being 7 back! I knew it was gonna be a loss once the lineup was announced!

  8. Swanson, moved to back of lineup for poor performance… Happ, moved to back of lineup for poor performance. Bush and Horner moved to lead off for poor performance. Tucker… permanent cold sore at 2 or 3 in lineup. When they shift 2nd to where 1st would play… it's bad. I could tell my 8 year old, stand here because Tucker will hit a very soft ground ball here, or he'll walk (keep the bat on his shoulder)

  9. Hey Sam, Swanson swings at first pitch after Castro gets hit by pitch. Brewers pitcher has 74 pitches in 4th inning and two guys on base. Make the pitcher work, take a few, he's having control problems. Instead swings at first pitch and let's him off the hook???? Counsell should of given Swanson a couple of take signs. Plus, just when I had a little sympathy for Tucker because of his injury, they put him back in lineup. You have 3 straight wins without him with Shaw and Cassie providing a spark and they don't play. Pat Murphy is probably going to win his second manager of the year award. I think we hired the wrong Brewers coach.

  10. You have to get over the idea the Cubs are better than the Brewers. They ain't. The Brewers haven't had JC for almost a month and still won. The games the Cubs won were all contested to the end. The Cubs didn't run away from Milwaukee in any of those games. At the same time the Brewers were due for a few lackluster games after their big run. A famous coach once said " You are what your record says you are".

  11. My head is getting irritated from all the head scratching that Craig Counsell has made me do over the past month. No Owen or Shaw in the lineup in game 5? It sort of felt like he was intentionally letting the Brewers win in game 5.
