All excellent points. Will be interesting to see where the next collective bargaining agreement goes. If there's a salary cap that will help level the playing field with the big market teams a bit.
I'm guessing once the stadium is built and the team is in it Fisher will be looking to cash out. Valuations of MLB teams have been defying gravity for nearly 20 years now — and sooner or later they're going to fall.
The tipping point will be when television contracts are renewed for less money than the previous ones. Won't happen this go around as too many streaming services are throwing money at deals because they think it'll bring subscribers in — but when those deals are up look out.
