Because opening the season at home at the end of March makes complete sense in a northern city like Chicago.
Along with the price hikes!
We might start next year like 12-3
Yankees Dodgers back to back in August has Ricketts salivating
The Cubs opening at home is a terrible idea
Yankees and Dodgers at Wrigleyville back to back, it’s red panty week for the business owners
It’s gonna snow opening day
Most important news story today
I see no losses
No games against the cards in September is lame
15-0 to start
As a fan who lives on the west coast: HELL YES to Cubs/Dodgers and Cubs/Padres in April.
FUUUUUUUUCK to Cubs/Dbacks in August. Indoor stadium or not, Phoenix in late summer is hell on earth.
That’s an interesting June. Start off with slowly rising A’s, then Giants-Rockies-Giants-Rockies consecutively, then run the gambit of likely playoff contenders until it eases up a tad in July.
Give me back my Cubs @ Dodgers games in June 😭😭😭😭
7 Brewers games in September is wild
any idea when times will be released? gotta map out redline doubleheaders
I wanted to visit Cleveland to commemorate 10 years since 2016 but early April sounds fucking miserable.
End of September trip to Boston??
Balanced scheduling makes a lot of sense, but damn it’s weird to open with the Nats, close with the Red Sox, and face one divisional opponent from June 1 – July 10
Done with the Phils by the end of April. That Yankess/Dodgers homestand is gonna be a tough one. LOL at the Angles playing at Wrigley in March.
6 of the first 9 September games are against the Brewers
They finally play Colorado on the road in June instead of August. Mid to late April looks to be a challenging stretch of 14 straight games against the Mets, Phillies, Dodgers and Padres
The Cubs played 14 games at home in April of 2025, going 9-5 or .643 at home that month. I’ll take that any year! The opening series in Tokyo is one I hope is never repeated.
Milwaukee and Cincinnati both make the September schedule, but the final two series against Miami and Boston will be far less dramatic than games against St. Louis or Milwaukee would like be.
Ok the two series I’m eyeing is the Mets in June and the season close in Boston in September
The only 3 series road trip is Rangers, Braves, Southsiders in May.
August 21st-23rd needs to be for the Vedder Cup. We should be legit contenders!
Those 8 games against the Brewers in the span of 11 days in late August / early September might be huge.
Wrigley in March / April always feels 30 degrees colder than the already cold temperatures. This is not going to go well.
Never understood why they don’t schedule more games down south in the spring and fall, and up north in the summer. Everyone loses when they pull this shit. The fans, players, and workers all suffer with the weather and postponed games.
ATL in May? AWESOME. Living in AL I rarely get to see the Cubs in person. May is 100x better (temp wise) than July-September
Cubs @Seattle end of August!! Finally they come here not in April! Might be able finally see them without it being rainy/cold!
How dumb is it to end the season against an AL team? MLB tries to create artificial dreams all the time (the dumb one game wild card thing that used to be a thing, the Manfred runner, etc) but then they didn’t schedule against a division opponent. Last three games should be Brewers vs Cubs or Reds vs Cubs.
wow I might finally make a trip out of some of these. Seattle Maybe? Or Baltimore -> Cincy would be a fun double dip.
We get Cubs midweek in June in Denver. MEGA stoked. Should be a lot more fun and less busy than weekend series. That Thursday will surely be a day game.
