  1. Yes guys why is Caisse not playing everyday or at least when righties are pitching! Seiya looks lost he needs to sit for 3 or 4 games or a week and so does Happ! Dansby could use a few days off too we need a rested team for Sept and Oct! Maybe our 2 catchers could use a break bring up Ballesteros and leave him up and ow about Jonathan Long Go Cubs thank the pitching for bailing us out so much this year!!!!!

  2. I’m a Brewers fan but I like listening to you guys because you talk about baseball mechanics and detailed analysis. You offer your own thoughts and opinions and you focus on the play on the field. You DON’T spend a lot of time talking about other teams and bashing other teams and fan bases. Chuck at Locked On Brewers could take some cues from you guys. GO BREWERS!!!

  3. The problem with playing Caissie is he's left handed. If you're taking out Happ or Suzuki you're removing a switch/right hander. Busch, PCA, and Tucker are all left handed. So your line up is heavily tilted one way at the top. Also re: Happ, he's been good vs RHP(.253/380/.446 135 wRC+) in the second half which is when you ideally would want to play Caissie. It's lefties that are killing him(.207/.240/.447 26 wRC+).

Ultimately, this is why I thought calling up Alcantara made more sense than Caissie because 1) he's right handed and 2) he's hitting .322/.404/.586 vs LHP this year. With Caissie I think you can make the case to give Suzuki a few days off and get him AB's that way but he's just a tough fit in the line up right now.

  4. Im still not convinced. 4 of those hits were absolute mistake meatballs right in the happy zone middle- slightly down and in……also historiclly he kills the Angels so lets see him do it against a different team he doesnt see much of. The Angels cant pitch so I mean……

  5. It feels like Dansby or seiya hits a ball once a week that should go out but doesn’t. It’s getting on my nerves. But if anything can get them going it would be colorado

  6. I think Seiya is most affected by Tucker’s performance. When Tucker is getting on base, Seiya’s body language gets better and he tries to hunt fastballs in hitter leveraged counts. Usually results in damage

  7. yeah, you guys are on to it finally. Suzuki TAKES too many strikes. It's hard to hit dingers and slug when you watch strike one and strike 3 constantly. Happ gets into a 3-1 count and? He is LOOKING to walk. He's passive. He cries to the ump then strikes out with the count full. Those two dudes are PASSIVE. They are watchers. They do not look to swing in hitter's count which is kind of what Matt is saying. And when your 3 and 5 hitter's are like 8 year old girls in the box? Just watching, kind of afraid, not ready to be men and hitters and heroes and studs? Just girls? It's why Suzuki went from 290 to .240 and it's why Happ has been a .220 boy ALL year long. He watches. Shaw and Owen Cassie HAVE to play the next 6 games as both parks have cavernous gaps. Is Suzuki or Happ going to hit a gapper? No, they are the watchers.
