  1. Give our guys a break. The Rockies have an elite rotation, shutdown bullpen, clutch hitting, and gold gloves at all 9 defensive positions.

Don’t worry, we learned our lesson this time. Right? Riiiiiight? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhttt????

  2. 7+ ERA pitcher. Worst team in baseball. Astros get dog walked. Honestly, with the way this season has gone, this was the most predictable outcome. None of us should be shocked.

  3. This season:
    Vs 1st place teams: 12-3
    Vs playoff teams: 27-16
    Vs last place teams: 14-14

  4. And the list of “bottom of division teams that look like World Series contenders against us” grows…

  5. Why do we do this against shit teams, why can’t we just beat teams we are supposed too

  6. ![gif](giphy|Z0XsLMwQAKBfJv0yRH|downsized)

Another loss with the worst team in the league, predictable 🙄

  7. You know what the sad thing is?

That everyone i know was able to call the outcome of this game based on the two pitchers playing in it.

It mystifing to me why the offense sucks against crappy pitchers.

  8. It’s the same old “we lost, Mariners might lose/are losing/lost too”. Everyone either gets hot at the same time or cold at the same time. Regardless if Brown did excellent, our offense just didn’t show up.

I just want August to end. September might be more favorable.

  9. It’s hard not to be pessimistic about this team:

21st in runs per game. 3 runs in the last two games. At the bottom in exit velocity and hard hit%. We used to have one of the better run differentials in the AL, but now we’ve fallen to the point where the next team behind us has a negative run differential.

The injuries do suck – a healthy Yordan and Isaac probably makes a big difference, same with the pitching staff.

I just feel like this team is a pretender unfortunately. Our only hope is getting hot in the playoffs.

  10. Really hoping Jake can come back and give just a little bit of everyday offensive help to eliminate the black hole that’s been Melton/Chas/Cam over the last month.. not including the son God himself bc he seems to have snapped his slump

  11. 7 era guy with over 11 era on the road, 2nd worst bullpen in the league since the ASB and we manage 1 run. It all comes back to this offense being wildly inconsistent and not knowing how to apply itself. We get a big opportunity with bases loaded and we don’t take advantage of it. It’s not at all a surprise when we then do nothing for the next 3-4 innings, just cruising as if the other team is going to give us free bases.

Altuve’s highs and lows are also getting pretty wild. His August stats reek of fatigue, which is highlighted by his increase in playing DH a lot more. Hate to say it, but maybe he needs to drop down the order so that at least our 7-9 isn’t just a black hole.

Maybe this game ends differently if Dubon uses his brain and throws to 1B, but our offense never looked like scoring another run, so we probably still lose.

  12. How demoralizing would it be to a Mariners fan if they don’t overtake this crap box team this year.

  13. From now on it should be Peña-Yordan-Correa-Altuve. As 1-2-3-4. Altuve has too many highs and too many lows. The first 3 have shown that they’re consistent.

  14. Mariners starting their comeback on the Padres. Now 5-3, Raleigh on base, Julio up, Cease just pulled from the game. 1 out.

  15. There’s something seriously wrong with this team. We just don’t play well against teams under 500.

  16. The dads fucking suck.

Welp, looks like it’s 0.5 ahead. It is far too late in the season to be dicking around like this.

  17. Dylan Cease is dogshit so at least we can feel better about not trading the farm for him

  18. Well this is why you don’t rely on other teams to help you out and take care of business…team needs to wake up
