  4. And this is why we’re not a good team. We look at the roster and say, “Okay, bam, this is our roster—cool.” But then you have to ask yourself: can we get better than Luke Schoonmaker? Can we get better than Mazi Smith? Can we get better than Miles Sanders or Javonte Williams through a trade or free agency to improve the team? But we won’t. History shows Jerry will just stand pat and roll with what we have, or wait until eight games into the season to react instead of being proactive. You can’t do that. Philly sure doesn’t—they’re always trying to get better at every position. Whether it’s a player who hasn’t produced because of intangibles, or someone who underperformed the previous season, they’ll bring in somebody who’s either clearly better or even just a little bit better. The point is, they leave no stone unturned, always pushing to improve—whether by a small margin or a huge one.

  9. So I need y’all’s input. In your opinion, what kind of TE would you want on your team—a TE who’s a good blocker but only a mediocre pass catcher, or a TE who’s a good pass catcher but just a mediocre blocker?

    Ferguson is fine, but behind him our TE room feels redundant. Every coach we’ve had seems to overvalue blocking tight ends and forget that TEs can be real threats in the passing game. Instead, they make blocking the priority. Meanwhile, the rest of the league is focused on finding TEs who can stretch the field and make plays in the passing game, with blocking as the secondary skill. It feels like we’ve been stuck in this old-school mindset for years. I get that elite pass-catching TEs are rare, but it still seems like we keep going in a different direction than the rest of the league.

  14. Voch, love the show and you and Brian. My fave Cowboys news. No doubt. But Bruh, you need to step back. Mazi Smith. You are an analyst but don't step across the line. How are you going to go deep into mans character and denegrate this man. DIdn't you play football? Well why arent you in the NFL???? Ill wait on the answer but I will tell you why. You don't have the talent. Physically, and maybe some mental aspects as well. The COWBOYS made the mistake of drafting Mazi in the 1st round. He didn't draft himself. REMEMBER that. From what I hear he is giving his max effort. Mazi is doing the best he can. It appears that he doesn't have the athletic skill that others have. That doesnt mean he's not trying. He's frustrated because he canty live up to the hype. Fact is, its not his fault. Bad pick by the Cowboys. Never loose the respect for people and go Stephen A DIckhead Smith. Stepping too far can get things fugged up. Respect. Love the show!

  37. On Wednesday I expect Mukuomo (CB) and Adeniji (OT) to return to the roster and Carson (CB) and Mafha (RB) to go to IR. Goodwin (ST) and Grier (QB ) should stay on practice squad and be called up to the 48 on game day.
