  1. I miss having all our guys man. This stretch combined with the injuries is just brutal.

Silver lining tonight is things went really well pitching wise. Definitely needed a day like this for the pitching staff so some guys could get a rest.

  2. Mona giveth, Mona taketh away. Can’t be upset with the effort but that’s a bummer baserunning error. Game wasn’t won or lost by that play but damn. Let’s take the series tomorrow!

  3. Winnable but just could not get the clutch hit. Pitching was great tonight, I thought for sure this game would be a slug fest. Just get the series tomorrow and have a winning homestand.

  4. tough loss but crazy that we kept it to a 1 run game with Fedde and McGee doing heavy lifting

  5. Gonna have nightmares about that 8th inning. After the HR and double thought it was getting done.

  6. That was a tough one tonight. But given priester was scratched at the last minute, I’m not mad about the result.

  7. Again stranding too many RISP. That will always come back to bite. They need to figure that out asap or its curtains for them in the playoffs.

  8. Really hope Megill was right about being ready for Oct. JC and Joey O loading

  9. That was such a winnable game. Sort of like watching them early in the season nothing really clicked. We’ll see what they bring tomorrow with the Ace of the five spot pitchers. I usually miss day games, so I have a feeling they’ll do something spectacular.

  10. Missing bats and arms….and yet still in it to the end. Let’s get the series tomorrow!

  11. I appreciate the hustle but I feel like that was just a bad decision by Mona. He could have just stopped at first and then stole

  12. Hurts to lose a game with Frelick and Collins available on the bench. Would have loved to have seen them in one of the big moments. I get they need off days though. Let’s go brewers, time to focus on the next one

  13. Folks, we lost a close game while short a few players in the middle of a huge stretch of consecutive games with no breaks.

We’re totally not making the playoffs next year.

  14. Some much-needed perspective:

If the Brewers lose out until our next off day and Cubs win out, we still have a 1 game lead in the division (and all of baseball). Then it’s back to regularly scheduled programming with a day off each week. This team is justifiably exhausted.

And that’s two very big ifs. Obviously you’d like to keep the lead where it is.

Baseball has its ebs and flows. Every team wins 50 game and loses 50 games (sorry Rockies). It’s what you do in the other 50 that matter.

    Let’s go Brew Crew!

  15. The bottom half of the lineup is a massive black hole. Really missing sal, chourio and joey

  16. I don’t want to be a debbie downer. And ik there are stats to back it up their inclusion… but the bottom four(ish) of our batting lineup is what costs us a lot of these.

We’re banged up for sure and doing the best we can but Perkins->Bauers->Lockridge just kills any offensive momentum we get from Turang/Yeli/Contreras/Vaughn/Durbin.

Do I have a solution to this ? Absolutely not, I’m a fuckin dumbass. But that stretch of batters from 6-8 is just what I’ve noticed has killed our offensive momentum recently

  17. Happy with the pitching. Just couldn’t get the hits they needed. On to tomorrow

  18. oh god a kid just asked why seigler is still a thing on the tim allen postgame show

even kids know he doesnt belong

  19. This game from a pitching standout felt like April

Just on life support in terms of fresh arms and piecing together outs

Hopefully next three days can give our pen a break

Tuesday off day can’t come soon enough

  20. Lost in all of this…Danny Jannsen has been absolutely atrocious. Can we have Haase back or Quero or hit a pitcher?

  21. You have no idea how happy I’m going to be when there’s no Brewers baseball on September 2nd……we all need it and this team needs it the most of all

  22. Tough loss. But in two weeks, we should have Chourio, Hoskins, Ortiz, Megill rested. We’ll be good.
