  1. Add another loss to counsells resume. Also still only 5 games this month of more than 4 runs. 2 of which came recently. The offense has been and is that bad

  2. Hoping the opposing team sucks at scoring runs more than you do is probably not the best approach to take each game.

  3. Easy schedule my fucking ass! Pathetic performance against a weak hitting team the past 2 games

  4. The giants should take our spot in the wild card if it were possible, im pretty sure they would do far better than we will

  5. I think sometimes lineup construction gets too much attention but having Turner-Kelly batting four-five kind of doomed the offensive side of things today and then it was off to the races for the Giants’ bats.

Anything can happen in October but we still aren’t seeing many signs that this is a team that will score a lot of runs more than an occasional outburst. They pretty much seem like dead ducks in games that would require them to plate five or six runs.

  6. I got downvoted when I said it was too early that Tucker was back after only two games….

  7. I was gonna comment how the Cubs are the last team to not get swept in a 3+ game series after the Red’s loss tonight to the Dodgers, but given how this game went I don’t think that’d age particularly well.

  8. Colin rea is fucking ass, but more importantly HOW THE FUCK IS DUSTIN KELLY STILL EMPLOYED? Bases loaded with one out two separate times and they score zero runs? For two fucking months, its been the same exact shitty general approach game after game, no matter who the pitcher is, what he throws and whether hes a lefty or a righty. It’s the same fucking gameplan and if it doesnt work, oh well we tried, but lets definitely not try to do anything different.

  9. 2 Bases Loaded GIDP is flat out inexcusable. That is all.

On another note, the Reds lost, so now, we’re the only team that hasn’t been swept in a 3-game series or more, better hope like hell that continues tomorrow.

  10. I knew the game was over when I saw Tucker throw the ball off the giants player’s dome. Nothing good ever happens in games with highlights like that. Why was he throwing back to 1st anyway??

  11. Running out of time to get any real momentum, whether we make the playoffs or not. Better get cracking boys, a blowout at this point is not remotely helpful.

  12. One last thought. I cant tell if its crazy or sad that people still think this is a legitimately good team

  13. Can’t wait for Carson Kelly to bat 5th in the playoffs. The backup catcher going into the year has one good month and proceeds to suck ever since and is just permalock’d in the middle of the order.

  14. When was the last series we got swept? Because Webb tomorrow………..Well, a lefty. You know…..

  15. I have coined a new term: Cubsterfuck.

As in, “That game was a complete Cubsterfuck.”

  16. So far each time I watched the Cubbies at Oracle, they lost. Once again I’ll be behind enemy lines tomorrow and I better not see a broom.

  17. Just got back from Chicago, saw them lose against the pirates at wrigley. NICE. Come home, go this game and watch them lose 10-3; we left. Then on the bridge home me and my dad checked the final score.

Throw Turner out of the plane home over the bay
