The Texas Longhorns account for almost half of the most in-demand games in college football this season, according to Gametime.

Texas starts the nation as the No. 1 ranked team, and seeing the Longhorns in action is going to cost you a pretty penny. Gametime, a third-party ticket-buying app, compiled the most “in-demand” games based on median ticket price.
The most expensive ticket in college football? Nope, it’s not the Longhorns. That honor goes to the Army-Navy game, which is valued at $1,214, according to Gametime. The Longhorns do, however, make up four of the top ten most expensive tickets this season, Gametime reported. The Red River Rivalry between the Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners comes in third at a median ticket price of $803.50 by Gametime’s estimation.
Texas’ visit to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs, a rematch of last season’s SEC title game, is the second-most “in-demand” game this year at $880.
The renewed Lone Star Showdown between Texas and Texas A&M – which rebooted last season for the first time in over a decade – returns with sky-high prices at $795. Due to its return, Texas-Texas A&M was the most expensive ticket of the season last year. The average price was over $1,000, WFAA previously reported.
Texas’ season opener against No. 3 Ohio State, the defending national champions who eliminated the Longhorns from the college football playoff, is the eighth-highest ticket price, according to Gametime, at $577.
Should the Longhorns return to the SEC Championship, then they would participate in five of the top 10 games. The SEC Championship ticket price this season is estimated at $750, which is Gametime’s fifth-highest average.
