I wanted to learn go and decided to make this app. Once I got the hang of go I started to learn how to use cursor and ai development as we are starting to use it more at work.

The purpose of this project was initially to make myself a home dashboard that I could connect a screen to a raspberry pi and have this run constantly without having to refresh the page ever and was initially meant just for the Utah Mammoth. It slowly morphed into a team agnostic server that you can start the server with any valid team code and it will change the color scheme and stats to any NHL team. The news section is generic and pulls all of the news headers from the NHL website and the headers are clickable and will take you to the actual articles. Some of the team backgrounds might be low quality as that was the most tedious part of the whole project so far as I just google searched and saved images and added them to the project itself. When the season starts it will change to a completely new view that you can test by clicking on the alarm clock emoticon. The during the season dashboard will display the teams schedule for the week, some player and goalie statistics, and a playoff odd calculator. I havent fully tested the during season view yet as there isnt valid data coming through the api but I will test as it gets closer.

I am looking for feedback and improvement ideas and figured I would let my home community test it and see it first.
