Went a full five, nearly 90 pitches, for something the Dodgers rotation certainly needed, for now and looking ahead. And, per the person here a few weeks ago who said the Dodgers should make him into a playoff reliever?
Uhh, no.

Other than Sheehan I have no idea who’s the odd man out in the Dodger rotation come playoff time. Obviously Yamamoto and Snell are pitching games 1 and 2 and I guess due to the rules you can’t take Ohtani out the pen or you forfeit the DH spot so he’s probably starting either game 3 or 4. It will be interesting to see if they go for Glasnow or Kershaw for the other game. Though realistically I probably shouldn’t hold my breath because it’s pitching and the entire art of pitching is an injury waiting to happen.
[5 innings??](https://youtu.be/11_xf7K0C1k?feature=shared)
9 Ks too. He was nasty last night. Still hard to comprehend how he’s so good.
My pookie 🥹
I want to taste that beautiful man
Kel has a career 1.400 OPS against this guy — not sure people realize that
He was emotional at the dugout.
He loves pitching more than batting.
He was happy that he bet the under on 90 pitches.
Prob gave Dave Roberts a cut for taking him out after 5.
I’d be all smiles, too!
One win in two years? A 700 million contract. Bust of the century?
Dude must have had money on the game.
Wow. Elite.
He pitches 5 innings one time and you’re in love and want to fully write him off as a reliever strictly bc of that?
Come on. If this isn’t an example of ohtani glazing, what is. Pitching 5 innings isn’t an accomplishment, it’s a very short start.
He’s going to be starting and going 6-7 innings by that point
I can assure you a little leaguer could go 5 strong against my boys rn
