  1. C-Walk power going both ways combined with another solid start from Alexander, a stingy bullpen and Abreu shutting down the 9th gets another win.

And everyone’s still afraid of Yordan after showing he’s got his power back.

  2. Whether by 1 or 100, a win is a win, and a series win at that

Back up to a 2 game lead with the Angels coming to town, who we tend to do well against.

Also, huge props to Cesar and Christian. Salazar for playing well after such a short notice call, and Christian for being what I hoped he would after an awful start. If he can play his level of defense and finish with 25-30 HR’s, I call that a good year

  3. All I can ask is that Kansas City and Milwaukee perform some morale crushing sweeps this weekend

  4. We allowed Rockies starting pitching to get 3 quality starts this series, but at least we came out of it with a series W. So, it’s just a little embarrassing.

  5. I know we’re really doom and gloom lately, but we’re only 4 games back of the best record in the AL! I think we can limp our way into September and start to trend up.

  6. Whew!! 2 up on the mariners..keep the wins going for the rest of the season please!

  7. I know it was short lived but Salazar had a pretty good 2024. He’s a solid player. C-Walk with the clutch hitting and we’re trending upwards, though it may not seem like it but relievers did their job.

  8. Some people will feel that this series was a failure because it wasn’t a dominant sweep of the Rockies. We still took the series and increased our lead to 2 games over the Mariners.

Walker coming through with the homers. Yordan putting pure fear in pitchers that they just won’t pitch to him. Salazar with some nice plays at the plate today. The bullpen locking it down. Alexander with another solid start. A nice team win as we turn our attention the Angels.

28 games left. We still control our destiny.

  9. Ugly wins are still a win. I’d just love to see this team not just slap it in cruise control and hope for the best every time we miss out on a high scoring opportunity innings. After the 2nd it felt like all the energy was sucked out of the lineup and they were just going through the motions. They’re better than this and they need to tell themselves that.

  10. Good to take the series but Astros have to reclaim their home and get stronger here. They let Cleveland, Texas, A’s and Orioles dick them around at home and it could have gone wayward today too. They have to defend the home field but in a stronger manner.

Going to have 7 crucial games here against the Angels and Yanks. Anything worse than 4-3 will be a disappointment.

  11. Just watched the highlights, looked like both of their homers to right field were barely over the wall and Cam was nowhere near in a position to make an attempt at either one. Was he just positioned wrong or what?
