1. This is going to get uglier than it already is unless Arte settles.

2. Nobody is going to come out of this squeaky clean, but I think it’s going to be really hard for the Skaggs family to convince anyone that the Angels are responsible for Tyler’s own decision making.

4. Hey man Skaggs took those drugs and hes a grown ass man. Dont blame the team. Arte had no idea even tho I hate him. This suit wont bring him back. Kind of pointless tbh

   “There is evidence that … Angels Baseball had knowledge that (former Angels communications director Eric) Kay was distributing drugs to players and failed to take measures to get him to stop,” judge H. Shaina Colover wrote in her ruling.”

   There is an extremely high burden on a motion for summary judgment (there’s no e in judgment Sam)because the prevailing party essentially wins the case outright without a trial. Judges try to preserve a parties right to a trial of their peers unless it’s an issue of law and not an issue of fact.

   It will be up to a jury to weigh the evidence of the Angels’ prior knowledge against their unclean hands defense (Skaggs’ prior drug problem).

   This ruling in itself is not at all surprising.
