  1. I’d love to have him gone.  One of the worst defensive centers we’ve ever had

  2. I love Nikola. I know it’s unrational, but man, he is one of my favorite players I would love for him to stay.

  3. “When he first got there, I thought he made some very good moves—signing Lonzo, Caruso, Vucevic, and DeMar. I thought it was a very good team; it just did not work out.”

Did Vuc just say that signing Vuc was a good move? 😀

  4. Maybe it’s a good thing they’re off antenna, it’s gonna be easier to ignore another year of Vuc and any potential extension he signs

  5. Ideally, he would be traded. Vooch is a good center but just a below average defender. If we had a strong rebounder and defender at PF, he wouldn’t be that bad. It is just we had PWill starting for awhile, who is a terrible rebounder and only an average interior defender

  6. I’ll never understand why we traded for Daniel theis and elected to not re sign hin. Vuc was at his best I think with theis

  7. Damnit AK, you can’t trade him, stop doubling down on bad decisions. He’s a solid player, but we do not need to be a play in team again. Dude must love drafting 7-12 every year picking up developmental bench players. (Sorry Coby and Ayo i still love you)

  8. He’s going to be our fucking assistant gm and will plague us for another 30 years

Oh well I’ll just get to care about basketball in my next life

  9. If he wants to come off the bench for less than 10 million a year, sure.

Unironically though, I think if the Nuggets could get him under those same circumstances, he could actually fix their perpetual “worst team in the league by a wiiiiiiiiiiiiide margin when Jokic rests” problem.

  10. Not sure why everyone hates Vuc, 20&10 easy and 76 games.

Just curious does the fanbase think that’s easily replicated?

  11. Hopefully Matas’ D levels up and he can guard the 5s for Vuc. That’s the only way the fit will work at this point.

  12. Personally, it would take some dominoes falling for me to be okay with him staying
    1. Acquiring his replacement
    2. Reducing his role to a full time 6th/7th man on a VERY team friendly deal
    3. He either stays consistent with his shooting splits from last year or really trims down the volume from 3

Outside of that unlikely scenario, thank you for your service but it’s time to turn the page. Nothing against him as a person

  13. Somehow I still believe that Nikola Vučevic could be part of a trade for Jonathan Kuminga.

IMO: The reason why Bulls players like Josh Giddey and Coby White and Warriors player Jonathan Kuminga and FA Al Horford haven’t been offered deals or been extended are interconnected.

While it sounds like the Warriors might be trying to trade Kuminga to the Bulls for White, the Bulls seem like they aren’t having it.

Unlike the Warriors, the Bulls aren’t contenders and should try to wait the Warriors out!

The pivot by the Warriors might occur if they lose out on Al Horford, while trying to make a deal with Jonathan Kuminga or to trade Jonathan Kuminga.

If Horford is gone, what other quality bigs are still available and getable by the Warriors?

As others have said here, Vucevic has some defensive limitations, while on a recent story about the Warriors trying to acquire a different player, they mentioned how Draymond Green’s defense could compensate for that on the Warriors.

Is Jonathan Kuminga a player that the Bulls should consider trading their only starting caliber center in Vucevic, away for?

Once the Jonathan Kuminga dust settles one way or the other, I see a deal for Josh Giddey and possibly even an extension for Coby White getting done!
