  4. On a day "off" from the Jays, my beloved Packers make a colossal size rare trade getting the (Tkachuk) of football for a great value – SuperBowl goes through Title Town this year folks!
    About the Brewers (5-8) since their hot streak – Jays caught them at the right time, now go take 3 with your best starters dancing this weekend.

  5. I actually really like this signing if hes healthy. This guy can be HUGE off the bench. Thats how I expect they will deploy him. PH off the bench gainst rightys. The jays are actually building ALOT of depth. Id rather this guy instead of Carlos Santana who just got released. I think hes going to be strictly for if they get an injury going into the postseason. His bat is also an upgrade over Ty France off the bench. I reallllly like this signing and I truely believe he will be in the majors this season if hes healthy.

  6. Keegan Math on TSN yesterday (I was watching because they were talking Packers over hockey – for once) "I wont hit many HR's, but I play 162" hahahahaha, great analogy. This is the thing about signing Eloy, when you have a crazy witch-doctor of a batting coach team that can turn water into wine … why not sign him? ..Any slight adjustment could have this guy back to those White Sox haydays – and this is how baseball goes, you rake-you play.

  7. Is this an Indication that maybe Santander isn't progressing? With Loperfido, that's 3 outfielders for one spot.

    I don't think playoff at bats are a concern, but all hands on deck down the stretch.

    I hope he sticks around for next year and turns into Straw or Lauer. – No initial place for him until he makes himself impossible to ignore.

  9. Smart move. Probably doesn't do much, but provide cheap, limited insurance, for this year, but may turn into great value in the future.
    It's the type of move that can make a front office look like geniuses.

  15. Not a fan of this signing. Eloy has had issues with other olayers. Big ego, medium skill. He doesn’t fit with the Varsho/Springer/Straw/Barger/Schnieder crowd in our outfield.
