If he comes back playing like he did last season with his shooting & everything else stays the same (especially his defense) then I would rather get him over Trey. Trey would require Vassell+2 or maybe Sochan&KJ +2 picks just for salary to work. Herb we could get for KJ& picks. Salary matches & they both play SF. He's exactly what we need, a floor spacer & One of the best defenders in the league. Better on d than Trey while filling the same role & same size. For 9 mil less a yr & get to keep Vassell. That1 trade would be such a lvl up.. Way more than Trey for DV. Esp If DV buys in on Def we wouldn't have to choose between spacing or Def by having Sochan& Castle together. we could pair HB with Castle & herb then Sochan, DV&Champ leaving plenty of space, Def & versatility for both of our elite driving PG's & our +7ft Big's to work their magic & run lethal P&R while always having Options to kick out to + a versatile connector that can pass, cut, get to the rim & rebound on each squad (Castle& Sochan) we would have 2 starting lvl squads that are built almost identical & could run same plays etc….+Olynyk & Bryant….the bestr SA squad (13-14) avg score top on down was 16.7, 15.1, 12.7, 12.4 the next four between 8-10… That was key over 8 players avg over 8 & playing high pace, efficient & elite Def & this team has the ability to be even better with more depth, shooting & better Def… We have alot of the same player types, only we now have a Wemby & a giant backup… Herb for KJ & picks= elite & balanced team with depth that could threaten OKC if team chemistry & coaching is on point.
Herb Jones, an elite NBA defender, is just another wild dream about our Spurs getting a player that shows no signs of even being available.
Why not keeping the current roster in order to test the current players in post season ?
It could bring some knowledge about the guys who can play in a playoff game or not, about the lack of the roster,…
Btw every player of the Pels should be delighted to be traded because the Pels are surely the worst team in the nba. They suck so much… Dyson Daniels has not been tender with his old team !!!
