Baltimore Orioles @ San Francisco Giants | LIVE! Play-by-Play & Commentary | 8/29/25 | Game #135

On a Saturday, her young B called to see if she’d like to go to see a show. But Miss Cake said, “No, I’ll tell you what you can do. Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and crackers, Jack. I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root. Root root for the home team. If they don’t win, it’s a shame. Now it’s one, two, three strikes. You’re out at the old ball game. Katy Casey saw all the games, knew the players by their first names, told the umpire he was wrong all along, good and strong. When the score was just two to two, Casey Casey knew what to do. Just to cheer up the boys she knew, she made the gang sing this song. Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and crack a jack. I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root. Root brute for the home team. If they don’t win, it’s a shame. For it’s one, two, three strikes. You’re out at the old ball game. Greetings, folks, and welcome to live coverage of Orioles baseball, where tonight the Baltimore Orioles will begin a three-game series way out west here in San Francisco at Oracle Park as the Orioles take on the San Francisco Giants. How you doing everybody? It’s your old pal, the bird watcher, here. People call me BW for short. And uh folks, this game is on so late that over here where I am, the sun is all the way up. And uh forgive the lighting uh setup here. Uh I could turn this light on and get rid of uh some of this crinkly stuff. Uh, but I’m lit good enough, I think, and I can just avoid having this light on all game uh for this West Coast ball game. Uh, I’m going to go ahead and do that. Hi, I’m the bird watcher, by the way. People call me BW for short. Uh, this channel is dedicated to live coverage of Orioles baseball. Uh, we are a few games away from calling 300 straight games on this channel, regular season, not even counting postseason and spring training. Uh but since uh spring training of last year when I started up the channel, I have not missed one game. Although that came awfully close to ending yesterday. Uh your boy uh did not hear his alarm go off. Doesn’t know if the alarm ever did go off. Took a closer look at the alarm and realized that alarm might have been set for the right time, but for a different day. So it just didn’t go off. I think I accidentally tapped uh something that bumped up the time to a day. So, I at least I understood why I didn’t wake up. I did wake up and get into the ball game. I think it was the bottom of the third inning. Uh the Orioles Orioles had just tied it up off a Garrett Crochet with an Alex Jackson home run. Uh, we wound up losing the ball game and we got swept by Boston. We got our asses handed to us on that home stand. Lost seven out of eight games. Just won one ball game and that was the only game on the home stand that Trevor Rogers pitched. Uh, so go figure. Uh, the last two games we lost the same score, three-2. Uh, and the way the ball game ended yesterday, uh, we had so many opportunities to score a third run in that game, maybe a fourth or fifth or even more, but holy cow did we blow it. Uh, we really blew it. Uh, we really got to work on some fundamentals, folks. We got uh what, 28 games left to play. 28 games left to go. And uh I just want to see uh some good baseball. Uh I am excited to watch a game out here at Oracle Park in San Francisco. This is a ballpark. Uh I’ve never been to the city of San Francisco. Uh but I got to tell you uh it’s a it’s a gorgeous looking ballpark and uh if I ever do make my way out to San Francisco, I’d like to see a ball game here. And of course, the Orioles don’t play here all that often, so we get to spend a few days here at Oracle Park. John Miller, uh, my favorite playbyplay announcer of all time, uh, voice of the Giants, I’m sure, is somewhere in the ballpark here. I’m actually here, folks. You can see I’m here, right? I’m floating somewhere along the first base stands. uh facing the opposite direction everybody else is. That’s how I watch baseball. I look away from the field. That’s what I do. Uh right. So, we got a six-game road trip. Three in San Francisco. We go further down the West Coast to San Diego for three more. Uh we’ve got some reasons to watch this road trip. Uh for first of all, Trevor Rogers pitches tomorrow. You don’t miss a game when Trevor Rogers is pitching. Uh that’s that’s all there is to it. And uh what else? Uh Tyler Wells is going to make his oral debut in the 2025 season on this road trip. It has been announced, it’s official as of today, that Tyler Wells will be making a start against the Padres’s uh coming up early next week. So, we got that to look forward to. And uh a couple of other players are coming back. Jorge Matteo is probably a couple of days away from joining the team. The team does get to expand a a 28-man roster on September the 1st. Uh 30 days has September blah blah blah. So wait, 29. So yeah, a couple more days. Uh we’ll get to add a couple of players. It’ll probably be Matteo as a additional position player and Tyler Wells as the additional pitcher. The Orioles are going with a six-man rotation for the remainder of the season. Uh I think that’s an effort to keep the arms in this rotation from uh being overworked and uh to not uh to not experience another major injury to one of these arms that we’re going to need nice and fresh and healthy for 2026. So, I get the reasoning why Wells is added instead of going into the bullpen where the Orioles could certainly use the help. Uh, it’s probably more for everybody else in the rotation’s benefit than it is uh, you know, what’s best for Tyler Wells necessarily in the team. Uh, we’re looking ahead to 2026, folks. That’s just the way it is. Anyway, uh we have an Apple TV game tonight. So, I’m going to quit talking for a little bit and cross my fingers that one of these two platforms is going to work for me. Uh I can’t rely on MLB.com for this. So, we are going into the unknown, folks. We are wandering into the abyss of Apple TV coverage. I’ve got what is I think a potential stream up here, but I am not going to I’m not going to uh Yeah. What’s the word I’m looking for? I can’t think of words. Hold on, folks. My attention is very much on one thing right now. Getting up the ball game after being late last night. I have a stream that’s up. I don’t think this is the right one, though. It’s in a in a break. Game should be starting in five minutes. Hang in there, folks. I know I look really attractive when I’m just uh frozen like this. Would you please cooperate? Come on. At least click on what I’m clicking on. Thank you. Are you Are you serious? What are you doing, folks? Apple TV. Oh god. Everybody’s worst nightmare. All right, let’s see. Will this work? Let’s see. I’m feeling good about this. Come on, Apple freaking TV. I mean, it might be a situation where I have to go to a uh backup plan and that backup plan is not going to be available until the game gets started. So, we might have to tolerate uh a little bit of a wait here. Let me make sure the uh game screen is up with the scoreboard information. Uh let’s see. Let me refresh that real quick. Uh where are we at? Ingame refresh. Hope everybody in Charm City chat’s doing okay. Right, everybody? Right. All right. Come on. Thank you for watching. Now, why would you tell me thank you for watching? That sounds like the event is over. What do you mean thank you for watching? Where’s the ball game? Thank you for watching. I’ll thank you when I can see the ball game. How about that? You don’t have to thank me for anything. Ah, folks. All right, standby. Uh, I might have to get up and do some stuff, so hang in there. Where am I? All right, hold on, folks. Wait, first pitch is still a few minutes away. Okay, I got the game. Wow. If you only knew the work that has gone into this, folks. I don’t know what kind of uh lag there might be on this. I don’t know how far behind I may be on this, but this is this is it. I found the game and we are going with this. All right, so pitching matchup tonight. I’ll be back on the screen here in a sec. Let’s just hurry up and get through this. It’s going to be Dean Kramer against Robbie Ray. Ray is a left-hander with a 2.93 erra. This is his 28th start of the season. He’s got a record of 10 and six. opponents are hitting 28 208 off of him. He’s got a 1.14 whip. Robbie Ray, 33-year-old veteran left-hander is about to begin the ball game on the mound for the Giants. The Orioles will go with Dean Kramer. Here’s the Orioles starting lineup. We’ll get to the Giants later. Jackson Holiday will lead off and play second base. Jeremiah Jackson is in right field batting second. Gunner Henderson the shorts stop hitting third. Ryan Mount Castle will play first base and be the cleanup hitter. Emanuel Rivera gets another start at third base and bats fifth. Colton Cowser will hit sixth and play center field. Kobe Mayo, the DH, will bat seventh. Dylan Beavers is in left field hitting eighth. And Alex Jackson will bat ninth and do the catching. It looks like Robbie Ray is dealing with a blister on his finger. Or maybe he’s got or is that the catcher? Looks like the catcher might have had a splinter in a in a fingertip, a trainer there to pluck it out. And we are about set for baseball. Uh the Giants coming two games under 500, 33 and 33 at home, 66 and 68 on the season, and 11 games behind the Dodgers in the NL West. They have won five games in a row and just passed up uh the Diamondbacks for third place in the West. They’re a half game ahead of Arizona, but still uh pretty far out of a wildcard spot, two games under 500. The Orioles have lost four in a row. Uh they are now 14 games under. And yeah, we’re now five games behind Tampa for fourth place. We are running out of time to get out of last place, folks. Running out of time to get to last place or to get out of last place. All right. Uh, it’s a weird start time. It’s a late night for baseball. I’m up. I’m wide awake. It is 9:17 a.m. where I’m chilling. I’m not used to this. This is like a normal life. I like it. Here is Jackson Holiday. First pitch from Robbie Ray is outside for ball one. We are underway in San Francisco. Vulcan in 10 pitch also outside. Two balls, no strikes to Holiday. Apple TV, folks. Apple TV. Holiday’s batting 242. That is high. 3 and 0. Holiday. I like it. Looking at pitches, getting ahead. 3- 0. Now, what is going on with my in-game scoreboard here? There’s a called strike. Trying to get the balls and strike scoreboard up for you here, but at the moment it’s black swinging a miss. A fast ball at 93 from Ray and Holiday did not get it. It was in the zone. What is going on here? We may not have balls and strikes to look at tonight. I’ll have to check again here in a minute. Here’s the payoff pitch. Up and away. Ball four. Jackson Holiday. Six pitches. Draws a walk to begin the ball game. I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Hey there, Charm City chat. How the hell are you? Uh, welcome in, folks. We’ve got about 67 people here. Almost half of you have hit the like button. over 70. Now, folks, be sure to tap that thumbs up at the bottom of your screen as you settle in. Welcome in and uh enjoy the evening. We got some late night baseball. Jeremiah Jackson looks at a called strike. Holidays at first, nobody out. The 01 pitch is taken low. One and one on the bullfrog. Jeremiah Jackson hitting 329 doing very well at the plate since his call up about a month ago now. Big cut and a miss. He chased a high fast ball there. The count moves to a ball in two strikes. Boy, it’s been a long time since we’ve watched Holiday attempt to steal a base, hasn’t it? One, two, pitches low. Two and two on Jeremiah. What is going on with this uh scoreboard tonight? Oh, there it goes. Okay, it’ll be on in a sec. Two two pitch from Ray to Jeremiah Jackson in the dirt. Full count. Backto back full counts. I like that. I like making the opposing pitcher throw a lot of pitches right from the jump. Will Holiday take off on a 3-2 pitch. The camera is focused on him and Ray’s gonna throw over. Holiday must he must have a uh some sort of a leash. He was not far off the bag after Ray threw over there. Even with a 3-2 count, a high likelihood of taking off. It’s a short lead for Holiday. He doesn’t go and Jackson Jeremiah swings and misses and strikes out. Boo. Well, here’s another issue, folks. It does look like I’m a little bit behind with the scoreboard because it’s already showing Gunner Henderson with ball one. Uh, there it is. So, we may have to go without the scoreboard tonight for this Apple TV game. Too many spoilers. So, first pitch should be outside. There it is. And yeah, I’m one full pitch behind. I just saw the first pitch. We know Gunnar is going to have a 200 count. That’s good. His name’s Gunnar and he’s dating my mom. Folks, if you want to enjoy this experience uh the most, you want to get synced up with me if you can. It’s 2 and 0 on Gunnar. Here is the 20 pitch from Robbie Ray. Up. That is high. Three and 0. All right, we’ve got a chance to do something here. Three and 0 on Gunner. Ray with a couple of looks over at first. Here’s a pitch. Fouled back. Gunner swinging on three and 0. Got a fast ball. Middle of the plate. Could only foul it away. Come on, Gunner. Here comes the pitch. There goes Holiday. That takes a strike and the throw is late. Jackson Holiday, folks, alert the media. Stop the presses. Jackson Holiday has successfully stolen a base. Me. Who are you? Is that you, Jackson? Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? He did it. He did it. All right, Gunner with a full count. Runner at second base. One away. Here’s the payoff pitch. Fouled away. bowed away. Who are you? That was a decent attempt by Patrick Bailey. He got a good pitch to try to throw out Holiday, but Jackson got in there. Here’s a payoff pitch again. Gunner going to left field. That ball is going to be caught out there. And Holiday didn’t tag, did he? Even if he had, I’m not sure if he could have advanced. A line drive out to fairly deep left field, but not deep enough for Holiday to move up. Two down. And with a second out, Holiday moving up. For some reason, I thought there was nobody out. With two away, Holiday getting the third. Really not that big of a deal. Ryan Mount Castle. He’s hitting 251. Big cut and a miss on a pitch in the dirt. 251 with four homers and 23 RBI. Four for 12 with a homer off of Robbie Ray in his career. Breaking ball hit hard to right. That ball is it fair? It’s a fair ball. That ball stayed fair down the right field line. It’s an RBI double for Ryan Mount Castle. And the Orioles take an early one to nothing lead. Mounty going the other way down that right field line. Would it stay fair? It did. It just did. Oh, it’s magic. Emmanuel Rivera at the plate. The Kraken takes ball one. Mount Castle now at second base. Rivera with a foul ball. And the count even up at a ball and a strike. Rivera replaced Vimel Machine on the Orioles roster a few games back and he’s started a couple of games in a row now at third base. One- one pitch. Hit in the air. Foul off to the right, maybe behind the plate. Hard to say, but it is two strikes now on Emanuel Rivera. The Orioles have the eighth best slugging percentage of any team with runners and scoring pos percentage or position. Sorry. Oh my, that is a called strike three up and in on Rivera. He is not happy about it. He’s chirping at the ump. The inning is over. Let’s take a look. That pitch, I mean, it is borderline. It is right on that top inside corner, but it does look like it might be out of the zone, if only by a hair. Too close to really get too mad about really, but uh tough pitch. Inning over. The Orioles do get on the board first. an RBI double by Ryan Mount Castle. We go to the bottom of the first. It’s the Orioles one and the Giants nothing. I’ll be right back. I’ve got some things to take care of uh while uh we go to break. Okay. Thanks for being here, folks. And be right back. He met a strange friend in the Chesapeake Bay. Bacon. Bacon. Where’s the bacon? I smell bacon. Bacon. Bacon. Got to be bacon. Only one thing smells like bacon. That’s bacon. Bacon. Bacon. Bacon. Bacon. There. From that bag. What’s it say? I can’t read. Please, please give me what’s in the bag. Chewy, yummy, smoky bacon. Here you go. Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. It’s bacon. No, it’s bacon strips. Brand dog snack from Pyina. Bacon strips. Dogs don’t know it’s not bacon. It’s bacon. Where’d you fall? Baltimore. What? Baltimore. Baltimore. What’s that? Look, it doesn’t really matter. All right. Ah. Hey, who’s that in here? Sorry, Charm City chat. Sorry. Sorry, Charm City chat. Sorry, Fitzy. How you doing, buddy? Folks, Thomas Fitzpatrick right there in the Charm City chat. He’s got a YouTube channel. Go check it out. Give him a follow. BW says it’s a good thing. Dean Kramer 26th start, 27th appearance of the season. 152 and a third innings on the year and Jung Hu Lee is going to lead it off for the Giants. Let’s look at the Giants lineup here. Lee leading it off playing center field. I forgot to go over the lineup. Pitch high to Lee. Count is one and one. Jung-hu Lee is in center field. Willie Adamus will bat second and play short. Raphael Devers dhing hitting third. Matt Chapman at third base. The cleanup hitter. Dominic Smith at first. Base batting fifth. Casey Schmidt, the second baseman, will hit sixth. Luis Moss, folks, remember that name. Here’s a curveball top of the zone from Kramer in there for a strike. It’s one and two on Jung Hu Lee. So, Luis Moss, a name from the Orioles past, but not the same guy. This guy’s another Luis Moss. That pitch is low. Two and two on Lee. Moss plays left field, bats seventh. Patrick Bailey, switchhitting catcher, hitting eighth. And Drew Gilbert in right field will hit ninth for the Giants. Uh, you can call me BW there, Billy. That’s what everybody calls me. Uh, but thanks. Uh, it is now a full count on Lee. It just helps with any confusion when everybody else is calling me BW. This pitch is fouled back. Still a full count. Uh, let’s see. So, Fitzy would be here to Oh, he’s Fitzy’s playing the show. Here’s a payoff pitch to Lee. That’s ball four inside. A leadoff walk. The crowd is happy about it as they should be. I’m not happy about it. I’m not happy about a leadoff walk. What would I help with? What would you help with? I don’t know. I’m not sure. 710 might have a different Is that the dude from yesterday? There’s so many people reacting to that. It’s funny. I don’t think that’s the first time I’ve laid into somebody in the chat, but I guess uh that one was more memorable. Uh Willie Adamus looks at a called strike. Fouled straight back and the count is 0 and2. Adamus is hitting just 224. Lee with his lead off of first base. The O2 reached for and fouled away. So, it’s the battle of the orange and black, folks. These Giants think they can uh rock our colors. Uh we’re the we’re the orange and black. That’s us. The Orioles are wearing their road black jersey shirts with the gray pants. The Giants have on their orange jersey tops, white pants. Base hit in left field. Adamus with a line drive single to left and the first two men are on for the Giants. Here comes Des. There’s Rafy Des. Sorry, Charm City chat. Sorry. Sorry, Charm City chat. Sorry. Bitsy is uh trying to steer his Red Sox team to glory on the show. Denver is hitting 258, 27 homers, 89 driven in. There’s that signature batting stance of his. Kramer’s first pitch is high for ball one. Dino is in trouble here. Dino is a California guy. He should be comfortable out here. Come on, Dino. Bear down. 10 pitch fouled away. Bevers doing better against offsp speed pitches than heaters this season. hitting about 70 points higher against breaking balls. That pitch just a bit low. Had the plate just a bit low. It’s two and one. The Orioles got a one- nothing lead in the top of the first on an RBI double by Mount Castle. The Giants are threatening to get it right back, if not more. swing and a miss. Divers goes after a pitch in the dirt. Down even up at two and two. Well, I guess it never hit the dirt, so not in the dirt, but as close to the dirt as you can get. Two two pitch. That one’s low. Full count. Uh Kramer 16 pitches. Still looking for out number one. He’s gone full on devils. Two men on, nobody out. Nervous times. Baltimore already having lost seven of eight on a home stand. Let’s start this road trip right. Come on, Dino. Ball four. Not even close. Not even close. That pitch in the dirt for ball four. Bases loaded. Nobody out. Where’s the Tylenol? Matt Chapman up to hit next. Not a bad double play candidate. We’ll trade a run and make it a one-1 ball game for a double play at this point. Not a bad double play candidate. Keep the ball on the infield, please, Dino. First pitch is top of the zone. That looked like a slider for strike one. That was a cutter. My bad. It didn’t move right to left. Uh, next pitch hit on the ground. Gunner backhands it at short and has no play. hit too deep in the hole to do nothing but put it in his pocket. It’s an infield hit and it ties up the ball game. Or no, is it load up the bases? What are the bases not loaded already? What happened? Yeah, the ball game’s tied. Apple TV taking their time changing the score. It is one to one on an infield hit. Bases still loaded. Still nobody out. Four batters in a row have reached to begin the ball game off of Dean Kramer. And I’m probably going to lose 80% of my audience if uh the Giants put up a crooked number here in the first. It’s already asking a lot for Orio fans to not only tune in at this stage of the season, but to tune in at 10:38 at night and expect folks to stick around if the Orioles give up a big number here. Come on, Dino. Please get it together. 1-1 the score. Bases loaded, nobody out. Dominic Smith swinging a miss. breaking ball in the dirt. He went after it. They’re calling that a cutter. That broke like a foot straight down. How’s that a cutter? Okay. 02 pitch. Oh, I’m sorry. The first pitch cutter, second pitch fastball. I I don’t know. Whatever. It’s an 02 count, folks. Right now, I just want to get the first damn out. Hurry up, please. 0 and2 basees loaded. Pitch fouled back. High fast ball from Kramer. Smith has the best batting average in this lineup since the beginning of June. hitting 277. I guess the Giants as a team not hitting all that well. That leaderboard not that impressive. That ball’s hit off to the right side. Foul into the Giant Orio dugout. Man, I can’t tell both teams. Orange and black. Hard to tell them apart. All right. Lots of orange. Lots of black and lots of men on base right now for the Giants. 0 and2 on Dominic Smith. Pitch bounces in there. One and two. Any thoughts of maybe talking to Kramer at some point? I don’t know. He’s only given up four straight base runners to start the ball game. The one two to Smith hit in the air to center field. Kramer is going to give up the lead here on a sacrifice fly. Caught out there by Cowser in center. The throw in toward third is a good one. It’ll keep the runner at second where he is, but the Giants have taken the lead. The Orioles finally get an out on a fly ball to fairly deep center field. RBI sack fly by Dominic Smith. Adamus scores. It’s two to one San Francisco. All right, now that we got the first out out of the way, Dino, what do you say we take less than 25 pitches to get out number two? Casey Schmidt. Casey at the bat. Goes after the first pitch. Hits it deep down the right field corner. Foul. Not all that deep. It’s foul though. 0 and one on Schmidt hitting 240. Nine homers, 30 RBI. Right-handed batter Oh, I’m not on camera. I forgot I wasn’t on camera. Hi, everybody. Uh, the count is 0 and2 on Schmidt. My broadcast here just glitched for a half second. 0 and2 the count on Schmidt. Here’s a pitch that goes low. Looked like a splitter. Maybe one ball, two strikes, man. Kramer is laboring out here and he steps off the rubber. One out in the ball game. 28 pitches already. I wish it only took 5 hours to get from Thailand to the States. Maybe I’d visit a little more often. That pitch is a in the dirt. Count even up at two balls and two strikes. Two- two pitch. Not close. Full count. Not close. Bad pitch. Not even getting the batter to offer. Not even getting him interested. The count is full. The runners could be off on this pitch. One down. Runners stay put. Line drive, base hit right field, and DeS is going to put the brakes on at third base. The bases are loaded again. Kramer is not doing well. 31 pitches, still only one out. Fifth base runner of the game. And the one out he recorded was a deep fly ball that drove in a run. It’s a nice looking ballpark here, folks. But right now, this ain’t a pretty looking game. Drew French, folks. I said maybe go talk to Dino. Well, now they’re talking. Just another example of the Orioles doing what I want them to do. Just later. Just a little bit later. just a little bit later than uh you know maybe they should ms. It’s not going to be like this from here on. It can’t it can’t be like this. I I I can’t. Something’s going to have to be done about this, man. Look at that sky. Purples and pink and blue hues. It is a beautiful ballpark. Uh Moss takes ball one. Can we throw strikes, Dino? This guy’s hitting 2011. Right-handed batter. Hello. We’re at the bottom of the order now. You got to get somebody. Two and 0. Good. It will be two in one in a sec. I forgot. We can’t really hang out over here because of spoilers. You don’t want this to be spoiled, do you folks? 2 and0 on Moss. Bowed straight back. Uh, my game just froze. All right, here we go. Two and one the count on Moss. Pitch and on the ground and threw a base hit. Good grief. One run is in. Here comes another. throw is offline. It’s a two-run single for Luis Moss. It is four to one Giants. Six of the first seven batters have reached. Great way to start a West Coast road trip after going one and seven on a home stand. Kramer with a curve ball. Middle of the plate. No bueno. Patrick Bailey is up next. And the first pitch is called a strike. The umpire helping out. That looked a little bit low to me. Baileyy’s batting just 210 with two homers and 38 RBI. Good defense, but not much at the plate from Bailey. They were hoping for a little bit more. That ball’s hit on the ground to second. Holiday is only going to get one out and that is the batter at first base. I’m not sure if that ball had a little bit of English on it or what, but Holiday moved to his right and then kind of had to reverse course. Yeah, that ball kind of kicked back, I guess, off the back of the mound. Luckily, he didn’t take a very strange bounce and result in a weird hit. There’s two down in the inning. It’s four to one San Francisco. A base hit here would absolutely break our backs. It would put two more runs on the board. Let’s try to get this final out as Corbin Martin is up in the Orio bullpen. Drew Gilbert at the plate. The number nine batter who’s hitting under 100. Hits a ball into center field. Pretty deep. Back on the track. Cowser makes the catch. barely kept a under 100 number nine hitter in the ballpark, but Kramer does in the inning. Four runs, four hits, a couple of men left on for San Francisco at the end of one inning. Hey, we had a lead for a little bit. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Might be a while until we see another, but uh hey one inning in the books, right? I don’t think there’s much going on in the news and notes department today for Baltimore other than the announcement that Tyler Wells is officially going to start this week or uh this coming week in San Diego. Adley Rutman is hoping to play the last 10 days to two weeks of the season. All right. Well, don’t don’t strain yourself. Jorge Mateo is still on track to join the team on September 1st when the rosters expand. And Tyler O’Neal is doing some baseball activities. Will swing the bat this weekend. Got second inject injection in the wrist. Great. Make with that news what you will. Tyler O’Neal is doing baseball activities. Could one of those activities involve not pumping iron until you hurt yourself for another two-month stretch? What is going on here? Chila with a super chat. My glasses aren’t on. Sorry. a little pre-ceelebration super chat to improve our mood. You’re not doing great or I’m sorry, you’re doing great, BW. Getting closer to those 5,000 subscribers and almost 300 games called in a row and going strong. Thank you, Chilo. That’s awfully kind of you to make all of those points. Uh, I appreciate it. Folks, hit the like button on Chile’s super chat, why don’t you? And speaking of like button, uh we have over a hundred people here, less than 50 likes. Let’s uh help out there if we don’t mind. Tap that thumbs up at the bottom of your screen, please. We got the numbers to get to triple digit likes. We’re not even halfway there. Thanks again, Chilo. Yes, folks. on Monday night, Labor Day. Uh it’s an early evening ball game. I think 6:00 p. p.m. Eastern, somewhere in that neighborhood. I’ll double check for you. By the way, get those cows up in the chat, folks. Colton Cowser is at the plate. 01 pitches taken for strike two on Cowser. Uh yeah. So 6:40 p.m. is the first pitch on Labor Day. That’ll be game number 300 in a row, regular season. And boy, did that record come into jeopardy yesterday. I’m still quite sorry about all that, folks. One-two pitch to Cowser is fouled back. I mean, maybe I should put out a poll just to see how people feel about it. Did I end the streak yesterday by not being here on time and missing almost three complete innings, or does the streak still count? Cal Ripken had a consecutive inning streak where he didn’t miss an inning, let alone a game, but that streak eventually ended. Cowser looks at a called strike three. That is the first out here in the top of the second. So, if Ripken can still keep his game streak while losing his inning streak, I I think uh we’re looking at something similar here, folks. I broke my inning streak, but not my game streak. Hey, Annie’s here again. How you doing, Annie? There’s a called strike to who is it? I don’t know. It’s 0 and one on somebody. Kobe Mayo, folks. Kobe Mayo at the plate. Let’s get it all on there. Just spread it out. That is high. One ball, one strike. And he’s back with another another Magic membership, folks. That one going out to Bam. Hey Bam, show off those new emojis. You’re here. Let’s see the goods. It’s two in one on Kobe Mayo. And I want to thank you very much for that. I really do. Mayo’s average now down to 188. Swing and a miss. Man, very hitable pitch. Can’t hit it. Two and two the count on Mayo. Folks, what do you get when you cross a cow with a beaver and a jar of mayo? I don’t know, but it sounds disgusting. I missed oneird of the game, Chia. Onethird. I missed onethird. Don’t be talking about half. I missed one/3. I’ve got the receipts to prove it. One3. Chia. Uh, by the way, that’s an out. What happened? Uh, Dylan Beavers is up. Kobe Mayo just uh made that out. And I’m going to guess he struck out. I’m just going to guess. Let’s see what happened. Mayo struck out looking. I swear I was only guessing. It’s 0 and2 on beavers, folks. Nice beaver. Thank you. Hey, pocket watch. How you doing, buddy? That ball’s hitting the air to left shallow. The shorts stop going out. Adamus makes the catch and the inning is over. The Giants batted around in the first, so they’ll bring up the top of the order in the second. It’s four to one San Francisco. Nice Bieber. Thank you. Oh boy, we are limping to the finish line this season, aren’t we folks, we are limping to the finish line. Out of town scores. Astros up two nothing on the Angels. That just went final. Houston shut out the Angels two nothing. Detroit has a 5 to3 lead over Kansas City in the bottom of the ninth. The Twins are up seven to four on the Padres’s going into the bottom of the eighth inning. Cubs are up 11 to five on the Rockies. Top of the eighth. Bottom three, A’s and Rangers tied at two apiece. No score between the Diamondbacks and Dodgers in the bottom of the third. Everything else is now final. Cardinals over the Reds 7 to five in 10 innings. Philly eaked one out over the Braves 2 to1. Tampa with a 4-1 victory over the Nationals. Brewers took care of the Blue Jays 7-2. The Mets put up a football score 19 to9 on the Marlins. Pirates doubled up the Red Sox 4-2. Guardians squeaked by the Mariners 5 to4. The Yankees with a 102. Wait, that can’t be. That’s from the previous day, right? How can the White Socks be on this list twice? I might have read off a game or two from yesterday, folks. I’m not sure. But all of those scores are real. They happened. One or two of them might have happened yesterday. Hey, Pocket Watch is gifting a membership now, folks. Look at all this love going around. Message for you, son. And I want to thank you very much for that. I really do. Thank you, Pocket Watch. It’s the best way to help out the channel, folks. give the gift of a magic membership to somebody else. And right now is a good time to do it because there’s one month left in the season. So become a bird watcher if only for one month. Do it now. Here is Jung-H Lee looks at a first pitch upstairs. Ball one. Lee led off the ball game with a walk and came around to score along with three other Giants in the previous inning. line drive, base hit into left field. Lee takes a large turn at first and will settle for a single off of Kramer. Man, Kramer does not have it tonight. Fifth hit already off of Kramer. He’s also given up two walks, seven base runners in one inning, plus one batter. And a little break between innings doesn’t seem to have helped. Here’s Willie Adamus. He takes a big cut at a pitch right down the middle. And luckily all he could do was foul it away. Yeah. Yeah. It’s not pretty right now. It’s not pretty. That’s the one thing about being a pitcher. I mean, you can have a a pretty good season. Not necessarily outstanding, but a solid like flat four erra. Here’s a line drive base hit by Adamus. This is getting ugly. You got to get Kramer out of here. I’m not even worried about, again, we’re at the stage of the season. I’m not I’m not wor sitting here worried about wins and losses as much as I am about how we go about our business. And uh yeah, uh I don’t want to see Kramer’s erra get destroyed in this game after he’s had a pretty decent season. He already had a bad outing last time. What are we doing here? Des is up and he fouls one back. Divers walked and scored his first time up. I blame Apple TV for all of this. Fouled back on a high fast ball. 0 and2 on de 0 and2 pitch in the dirt. in the dirt. First and second, nobody out for the Giants. They are already ahead four to one. And they’ve got Devers at the plate. One-two pitch, line drive, base hit into right. And you can’t even blame Kramer for this one. Lee will come around to score. It’s five to one. Get him out of there. That one’s not even on him. That pitch was way below the zone. Endeavors pulled out a sand wedge and pulled it into right field for a base hit. I mean, Kramer can’t get a break. Whether he’s got it or not, he is he is getting hit hard out here. Let’s get him out of this ball game. He already got somebody up in the last inning. Are we going to at least talk to him right now? Slow the game down. Hello. We’re not going to Matt Chapman’s up low and away for ball one. Hey Tony, you might want to, you know, put some pressure on this uh gaping wound. We’re bleeding out right now. Hello, Chapman with a fly ball to center. That’s going to drive in a run. It’s caught out there by Cowser. Here comes the runner from third. It’s six to one. First out of the inning. Drew Dominic Smith coming up next. Man, oh man. I mean, first pitch foul back six to one, half dozen the other. Smith with a sack fly his first time up. Even the outs turn into runs in this game. Brown ball to second. Holiday flips to Gunner over to first. Two. A double play to make a thing go right. Yeah, it’s all going right for Baltimore through two innings. Dean Kramer, six runs on seven hits. Six runs on seven hits. They’ve nearly batted around twice in two innings. We go to the third. Giants six, Orioles one. Are you going to San Francisco? Be sure to take some Xanax in your bag. If you’re going to San Francisco, be sure to drink yourself into a stouper. Holy cow, this is ugly. And so am I. I’ll be right back, folks. You don’t want to miss this. Are you going to San Francisco? Let me have a Diablo sandwich of Dr. Pepper. Make it fast. I’m in a goddamn hurry. How about this? Peace, love, dope. Now get the hell out of here. Hey folks, we did have over a hundred people here and then the Orioles gave up half a dozen runs and now we don’t. So please, if you’re going to stay a short while, hit that like button before you go. Hit that like button before things get worse and you leave in a huff and forget to hit the like button. All right, bottom of the second inning. First pitch from Robbie Ray. Ball one to Alex Jackson. Alex up and in. Two and 0. Two and 0. It’ll be Jackson and then the top of the order Holiday and Jeremiah Jackson. So, three Jacksons in the inning to get your fix. And we got a three 0 count. Three and 0 the count. Take a pitch. That is ball four. Robbie Ray with a fiveun lead has just given a leadoff walk to our number nine batter. What do you say we make him pay for that? What do you say? Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. That sounds like a good idea to me. Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. All right. I agree, Morgan. We should antie up and kick in like men. Jackson Holiday looks at one outside. Ball one. Robbie Ray can’t find the plate. Swinging a miss. Top of the zone with the fast ball. Holiday. Reached on a walk to begin the ball game. Wow. The Giants apparently have had a left fielder opening day, a new one every year for the past like 18 years since Barry Bonds last played. They have not had the same opening day left fielder for two straight seasons. That’s like the Orioles trying to find a third baseman after Brooks left. Swinging a miss. It’s two and two on Holiday. Oh, I forgot to give you the uh in-game camera or in-game uh screen here. There you go. It is a little bit ahead. You could get spoiled by looking at that thing, folks. Don’t look for too long. Treat it like the sun. Two and two on Holiday. Runner at first. Nobody out. Top of the third. Fouled back. Hey, let’s have some audience participation. Charm City chat, which oral batter is going to, if anybody, hit one into the bay this weekend? Who’s going to go deep into the bay this weekend? That pitch is outside. Full count on Holiday. Full count, folks. Chile says Bisio. Brett says Gunner. Swing and a foul behind the plate. We’ll do it again. Janet says Bisio. My gut tells me this. My gut tells me is going to hit one into the bay. He’s got that kind of a swing. Holiday fouls it off. It’s still three and two, folks. Oh, that Michael Michael going with the right-handed bat. I like that call. Michael thinking outside the box. Another 3-2 to Holiday. He throws his bat down in frustration as this ball’s hit out to left center. Holiday, you got to knock that crap off, man. Knock that crap off. Hey, we’re the ones that get to hang our heads while we watch you guys go out there and uh lose six out of seven out of eight at home. All right, you’re too young to be that annoyed with yourself popping out like that. Come on, man. Do better. Don’t have a bad result and a bad attitude at I don’t need both. Okay, I’m already tolerating bad results. I don’t need bad attitudes. Here’s Jeremiah Jackson. One, one out. I mean, Holiday never showed emotion like that. And now it’s starting to become a part of his routine. And And it’s rubbing off from Gunner. I just know it. I don’t want to see this. That pitch is high. two and 0, especially at this stage of a season like this. I mean, right now, just work on stuff. And if you can’t work on what you’re doing at the plate, work on your attitude. Two to Jeremiah, fouled away. Two and one. That’s right, folks. I’m a I’m tough. I’m tough on my players. I am. And I don’t leave it at just you suck or cut this guy. No, I’m I’m yelling at our biggest stars. I want better. Yeah, but Tom, I don’t know if he cares about the fact that the team is struggling or that he’s struggling. Like, I don’t know. Is he more worried about personal stats or the team? Jeremiah Jackson with a pitch up and away. The count runs full. Okay, so it’s Alex Jackson at first. One out. I don’t think they’re going to send him in this situation. All right, payoff pitch coming to Jeremiah. Pitch number 58 from Ray. That is high. That is ball four, folks. I’m walking here. I’m walking here. Jeremiah was a bull frog. I’ll just tell you this, a guy like Jeremiah Jackson, he can’t afford to show that kind of frustration if he popped out to left like Holiday did. You know what I mean? Because he hasn’t established him himself enough. Even though he’s putting up the numbers, Jeremiah Jackson’s hitting his ass off, but he’s not a star. He doesn’t have that uh you know uh he doesn’t have that uh pedigree of like a first round draft pick and all this. he knows uh he’s got to do everything he’s got to do to get a spot on a team and get regular playing time like most baseball players do. And then you get other guys that just coast their way all the way to the top and now a year into their career, they’re already like gh. It’s I just don’t like what I’m seeing. It’s my own thing. Here’s Gunner. That one’s lifted to right. Oh, Gunner. He throws his bat down. That means he’s frustrated. It’s a fly ball out to right. It’s the second out of the inning. And Gunner and Holiday both uh again, I don’t like it. I don’t like it. Whether or not it’s just for their own uh the how they’re doing or or how they’re doing for the team, I don’t I don’t care. Like, don’t react like that. I’m sorry. It’s not helping. How’s it helping? It’s one thing to show that kind of emotion once in a while, but when it’s every freaking time you make out, it’s it’s just a it’s just bad. Like, you ever go to a party where just the mood is weird because somebody’s just a little bit off? Like, it’s you’re ruining the party. Come on. Two down for Mount Castle. Let’s get something out of this. Mounty with an RBI double already tonight. 01 pitch to him is low. One ball, one strike. First and second, two down for Baltimore in the top of the third. Trying to get something. Get back into the ball game. One- one pitch is high. Two balls and one strike. Look, folks, this is just my observations over two years of covering this team every single ball game. Line drive, base hit, left field. That ball’s near the foul line. One run will score for sure. It’s going to be an RBI double. Jeremiah Jackson stopping at third. Second and third with two down. Two RBI doubles already in the ball game for Ryan Mount Castle. There’s a guy who’s not slamming his bat down. That’s the other thing when you when you’re always doing that, it’s like you’re telling the next guy up, “Well, I don’t think you’re going to drive in the run.” I had to drive in the run there. It was my time to shine. And if I don’t get the job done, who will? Well, the rest of the lineup, Gunnar, Holiday, uh, they wanna, you know, they wanna help this team, too. You know, come on. I’m only talking about this stuff because it’s early and it doesn’t have to be this way for the next several years. So, let’s cut this crap out now. Let’s nip it in the bud and uh improve our attitude. It might take a a veteran player or two brought in to to bring some leadership to this team. It is a 22 count on a pitch that looked a little bit high, but that is called strike two on Emanuel Rivera. A base hit would make it six to four. Balls lifted in the air on the first base side into the crowd. Foul. Still two and two on Rivera. Yeah, we need we need an Anthony Santandere kind of a personality back on this team. You know, losing O’Harn and Mullins like we did. I feel like you you felt that uh right after they left. Here’s a base hit into left field. Jackson’s going to come in and score. Here comes another run and the ball gets loose. The catcher Bailey can’t hold on. Two runs will score. We are back into the ball game on a two-run RBI knock by Emanuel Rivera. Holy cow. My game glitched, but uh the timing was perfect. And this is so important. This is so important. The rest of the lineup, two people not involved in this rally, folks. Two people not involved in this rally. Their names are Holiday and Gunner. And what do they do? They slam their bats down. Here’s Cowser. Fly a ball to left. It’ll be called out there. The inning is over, but the Orioles are back in it. A threerun inning. A threerun inning. It is now Giant 6, Orioles 4. And we got a long way to go. Bottom of the third coming up. Holy cow. We’re still in the third inning. This is nuts. Oh, folks, if I knew it was going to be one of these kinds of parties, you know what I would have done with those mashed potatoes. You know what I would have done? Yeah, they they do they need to get Kramer out of the ball game. They need to get Kramer out of the ball game. We we’ve we’ve made it a ball game. It was almost to the point where it was like, well, you know, down five, yada yada. Yeah. Yeah. But come on. It’s a It’s a ball game now. I mean, he might I don’t know. You could do the bring him out. If he gives up one base runner, he’s out one. But what if that one base runner hits it out? Gh. But you got to got you at least got to have somebody ready to come in. is not coming in after getting into the ball game. Getting back into the ball game. Good grief. This is great ice. Oh wow. Here he comes. Let me show you what I mean now by the first thing you do is get right up in their face. You point the finger. Then if you can’t get close enough, you turn the hat around and kick some dirt. And then if he’s missed a sprite, you get over here and you put dirt all over the thing. You throw the hat down, you pick it up, you throw it, and you’re so bad you throw him out the game. You’re out of here. Yeah. You know who’s allowed to get upset about every damn thing? manager. The manager. The manager. That’s whose job it is to get upset about all the minutia and little things. Players have got to be more even keeled. All right. Come on, Gunner Jackson. I want you guys are important to this team. And it ain’t like Gunner’s not putting up numbers. Gunner’s putting up numbers. Just want to see some better chemistry on this team. The kind of chemistry that we fell in love with in 2023, first half of 2024. I mean, folks, let’s not have short-term memories here. The team chemistry only a year and a half ago was as good as anybody’s in baseball. Uh, we’re nowhere like that right now. And I just want to I don’t want to see it get worse. I want to see it get better. Uh Casey Schmidt will lead off. Casey at the bat with a 2-1 count. Hi everybody. Whoa, look at these guys. They’ve got pizza. They have met they have Mets gear on and they’re eating pizza. Okay, fly ball to right center. Coming in is Cowser. He makes the catch on the run. One away. Kramer is out out there, by the way, in case you were wondering. Dean Kramer still on the mound, and he gets the first out. Oh boy. If the playoffs started today, the Red Sox and Yankees would be going head-to-head in a wildcard round, and the winner would take on the Blue Jays. How about that? Phillies and Mets would be in a wildcard round in the National League, and the winner of that would take on the Dodgers. I got to tell you this folks, the way the playoffs are seated and uh structured, it’s it’s so wrong. It’s so wrong. It’s the worst it’s ever been. Uh the count is oneonone on Luis MTO. He Luis Mtos, he has a base hit. I’m telling you right now, you get uh here’s a ball that’s going to get blooped out into center field. Moss did not square that one up, but he uh gets enough of it to get it over the infield for his second hit. A one out single. I mean Kramer, it’s just been a rough night for Kramer. Katron’s here. Hey Kron, how you been buddy? Long time lying driving a right. That is just foul. Get somebody up. Martin was up earlier. He needs to be ready to go to some. I mean, Tony, you got to be ready to go to somebody if this next batter gets on. Come on. We finally got back into the ball game. How you been, Kron? Patrick Bailey is 0 for one and the first pitch to him is up and away. No, I’m sorry. That was an 01 pitch. Folks, my Apple TV broadcast, which I’m sort of maggyvering tonight, if you know what I mean, is a little bit jumpy. So, I apologize for calling this game uh with some bad timing here and there. One and one, the count on Bailey. Runner at first, one out in the bottom of the third. Long weekend for Kron. Is that good? That sounds like it’s a good thing. Pitch in the dirt. Two balls in a strike, folks. Is the weather in Baltimore still as lovely as it was apparently a couple of days ago before we left town? Uh there was a game apparently it was like 76 degrees, no humidity. middle of well not middle of August anymore but August weather uh really nice this ball’s fouled away by Bailey two and two the count it’s great all right Tony the Tiger checking 22 to Bailey. Swung on and fouled back. So, the weather is cool. No humidity in August. You guys understand like I hope you guys are outside right now. Touch some grass. I hope you can still listen to me call a game. Open up a window. Whatever you got to do. We still have a 2-2 count on Patrick Bailey. Runner at first, one down in the bottom of the third. Six to four Giants. Kramer’s next pitch is low. Full count. Full count. 64 pitches from Dino. Here comes another 3-2. Runner goes hit on the ground and that runner will avoid a double play. That was a tailor made double play ball hit to Holiday. But with the runner in motion, the Giants avoid a double play. It’ll just be a ground out for the batter here. Runner moves up to second base. Two down in the inning. And here’s the number nine batter, Drew Gilbert. All right, come on, Dino. Get this number nine hitting under 100 average hitting guy out. Let’s end this inning. Give us a chance to come back even further. We were down six to one after two innings. The Orioles with three runs in the top of the third. 10 runs in the ball game already. And we’re only in act one. There is a strike to Gilbert to even up the count. One and one. Kramer from the belt and the 1-1 is in the dirt. A curve ball. Two balls in a strike. Game two tomorrow is a little bit earlier. I think about an hour earlier if I’m not mistaken. Saturday evening. That ball’s crushed to right field. It’s off the wall. It doesn’t leave the yard, but it will drive in a run. It is an RBI double by the number nine batting under 100 hitting Drew Gilbert. That ball was scorched to right and there’s a lot of ballparks where that ball gets out of here. Certainly a home run at Yankee Stadium. Just didn’t have the height to clear that wall here in San Francisco. 7 to four. And what are we doing? Top of the order is up. It’s like the Orioles just It’s like Manelino is like, “Well, we’re going to get this number nine guy out. No need to have somebody ready to bring in just I’ve never known a manager to be so illprepared to to to just be able to look ahead to prepare for a potential situation. Kramer is just going to keep on pitching. Seven runs on the board already. Unbelievable. You know, normally a starter gets pulled after giving up seven runs. Did you know that, kids? Some might even pull a starter after giving up five or six. One and0 on Jung Hulie. There is a strike. Bottom of the zone. One and one the count. I mean, why did Corbin Martin get up earlier? Why did he get up? One-1 pitch high. Two and one. We got back into the game. Are you going to let it just slip away? Hey, there’s Martin up again. Thanks, Tony. Holy cow. Why are you always 10 minutes behind me, dude? Line drive fouled off to the left. You ever go hiking with somebody, like a group, and there’s like that one slow poke like holding everybody back? Oh my god, Tony, keep up. Two two to Lee inside. Full count. Will Damus on deck. Rafi Des after that. Payoff pitch. Hit in the air behind the plate. Foul. That looked a little weird to me off the bat. Oh, it looks like we just got spoiled. It looks like the inning is about to come to an end. Looks like Dino is going to get out of this. Giving up just the one run. We had Corbin Martin up for a second time, Janet, but looks like Dino is going to get through three innings. Swing and a miss. Lee’s helmet comes off on the swing. Kramer strikes him out to end the inning. The Giants score again. Dean Kramer gave up four runs in the first. two runs in the second and a run here in the third. I guess the Orioles thinking is, well, the number of runs he’s giving up is going down with every inning. Eventually, there’ll be a zero up there. Yeah, great uh great strategy. Just keep him out there until eventually Yeah. Seven runs on nine hits through three innings. And he’s still out there. Seven runs, nine hits, two walks. We got back in the game for you, Tony. I know our bullpen ain’t good, but this is why I won Tyler Wells in the bullpen. Come into a game just like this, pitch his ass off for three innings. Let us come back. Somebody give me this team. I said I I would I would never be able to handle the job for real. I’m I’d be fooling myself, but I don’t know. Starting to starting to have second thoughts. Give me Give me the keys to this team. Give me the keys of this team. I’m driving now. I went off this exit. We’re switching seats, folks. Bottom of the order coming up for Baltimore. Mayo Beavers and Alex Jackson. I need a lucky I need a lucky. No, I It would be It would be a It would be a colossal I wouldn’t have time to execute everything I’d wanted to do. I’ I’d be too busy chirping back at all the haters. What’s BW doing managing the team? Oh no, we are underway. Kobe Mayo at the plate. Let’s get it all on there. Just spread it out. Man, did my one friend finally take a little bit of a break? Good. Thank you my friend for taking a little bit of a break. Two and0 to Mayo upstairs 3 and 0. Robbie Ray falling behind Mayo 3 and 0 to begin the inning. I likey. We need base runners. Get Mayo on base. Let’s goo three 0 pitch. Takes a strike on the outside part of the plate. Oh yeah, we can hang out over here. It’s kind of a game, so I don’t want to have I don’t want to spoil anything, folks. I don’t I don’t know what to do. Popped up by Mayo on the infield. First baseman is in foul ground. Now he’s near the foul line again. It is Dominic Smith making the catch. Mayo retired. Here’s Dylan Beavers. Folks, let me see your Beavers. in the charm city chat. Nice beaver. Thank you. Don’t worry, I’m a professional. It’s part of my job. Now, let me see your beavers. Nice beaver. Thank you. Got Bush. We’ve got Bush. Just have to do a little a once over. Beavers with a hard hit ball into center field. That’s going to be caught out there though by Lee a few steps in front of the track. It’s a big outfield here in San Francisco. Every home run in this ballpark is earned. No cheap shots out here in San Francisco. Beavers is retired. Two down. Alex Jackson coming up. walked his first time that led to that three-run rally. Pops straight up behind the plate. Bailey with a look that’s out of reach. Folks, did you know Buck Sho Walter is second all time on most managerial wins in baseball without a World Series title? Bob Melvin, the current manager of the Giants and former catcher for Baltimore, is third on that list. Fouled away by Jeremiah Jackson. He’s in the hole 0 and two. Base is empty, two down. Top of the fourth out here in San Francisco. You can almost see where the A’s used to play from here. Fouled straight back by Jackson. Still 0 and2. A walk and a run scored for Alex Jackson. His OPS 885. That’s It’s almost as if he could have just been our backup catcher this year and given us Gary Sanchez numbers without paying $8.5 million. Here’s a popup in the center field. It’s going to be caught by Lee to end the inning. The Orioles go one, two, three here in the top of the fourth. Bottom half coming up, it’s the Giants ahead seven to four. Folks, we got a 100 people here right now. 70 have hit the like button. Thank you for that. Might I ask those who have yet to hit the like button to please go ahead and do it. It’s a penny cheaper than Columbia House, folks. You’re not going to find a better deal. All right, bottom of the fourth, the Tom Waits. Hey everybody, should I go uh in my Tom Weights baseball call impression? Corbin Martin is on in relief of Dean Kramer. Kramer had a bad night. First pitch as a strike. Willie Adams is at the plate. The count is 0 and one. Outside, one ball, one strike. Just step right up. Everyone’s a winner. Bargains galore. Is the one- one count on Willie Damas. I pitch inside. Two balls, one strike. I’ve got two balls. I’ve got one strike. Two balls, one strike. And a quart of whiskey and a quarter rum. That ball’s fouled back. Step right up, everybody. Tom Weights is on the call. Two balls, two strikes. Isn’t that nice? Ground ball foul. I’m starting to think not enough people are familiar enough with Tom Weights to really appreciate the impression I’m pulling off right now. That is a dilemma. The 2- two that’s popped up. Popped right up. It’s popped right up. Jackson Holiday makes the catch. There’s one down, one down, one down. Prizes, prizes, prizes. Somebody out there finds it hilarious. All right, folks. BW here. Raphael De is up with one one down and he looks at a called strike on the outside corner. Thanks Thomas for getting the impression somebody uh called strike on the outside edge. It is 0 and2 on de. He’s already reached twice tonight. Corbin Martin on and relief of Dean Kramer. Dean goes three innings, seven runs. Do I do a Mitch Hedber? Oh man. Mitch legend. A legend. two and two. I uh there’s some people I just I don’t know. I feel like trying to do an impression. I can do his jokes, but I don’t know if I can do him. You know what I mean? Swing and a miss. De strikes out. Corbin Martin gets the first two batters here in the fourth. That’s good. That’s a good thing. Hey folks, you’re staring at nothing. There’s no information. There’s no me. I’m sorry. I don’t know what I’m doing. It’s late night West Coast baseball. Come on, folks. And we get a little freaky out here. Matt Chapman, first pitch outside. Chapman’s been on base both times tonight. The 10 little bit high. I popped right up. I popped right up. Uh 2 and 0 on Chapman. 3 and 0. That is quite high. That is quite high. 3 and 0. Seven to four Giants. That’s right, folks. Parental discretion is not only advised, it is well, I can’t say it’s mandatory. Just be discreet. Everybody use discretion. Pitch called a strike. Chapman was walking toward first thinking he had ball four says not yet buddy. It’s a full count. Two down, nobody on the payoff pitch from Corbin Martin outside by a foot. Not even close. Hey, Rouseabout. How you doing, buddy? I gotta admit, buddy, I am jealous of your font. I know there’s ways to go about getting a you know, a special font and other things into your into one’s chat. I’m sure if I spent five minutes of Google searching, I could set it up. But it is nice. Now, if everybody had it looking like that, it might it might hurt the the eyes, but it’s nice to have different fonts. Everybody work on that for me. Oh, don’t worry about it, Rosabout. I enjoy looking stuff up like that for myself. Let me have fun figuring that out. Uh Dominic Smith has a 1-1 count. That ball’s drilled to right. He’s staring at it. That ball is over everything and into the San Francisco Bay where a old man on a kayak retrieves it out of the water. Dominic Smith. Two-run shot. Giants are now back up by five runs. Nine to four. And there is the guy with the ball. That’s what it’s all about, buddy. Your moment. It’s your moment, man. Yeah, that’s it. Soak it up. That is the 106th home run hitten by a giant in a game that matters into the bay. Casey Schmidt. All right with this guy. Oh, now he’s Yeah. Again. Now. All right. I I know. Yeah. Again. Yeah. There it is. Okay. Okay. All right. You got the ball. Okay. Kayak the ball. He’s got a sign now. Okay. Anything else you you want to promote like a Bitcoin or something? Swing and a miss. One ball, two strikes. What else you want to do, man? Oh, no. Please fall into the water trying to high five. Please. Yo, Steve, lay off the riceerone, will you? Holy sh All right. Uh, did we just end the inning? I think the inning is over. Uh, they flashed to something for half a second. They’re too busy staring at uh replays and guys in kayaks. I guess the inning is over. I don’t know how it’s nine to four Giants. We’re having fun. Be back. I apologize for Baltimore. I apologize for Baltimore. What was that? It was bad. It It had nothing. No fire, no energy, no nothing. So, it’s it’s not the best option, but it just is what it is. All night to get lucky. I’m up to I’m up I’m just happy somebody’s no longer chatting in the chat. That’s really my biggest victory tonight. If we wind up losing this game. If I’m able to dodge somebody now for a while, that is good, man. Oh, man. Oh, man. How you doing, everybody? It’s your old pal, the bird watcher, here. People call me BW for short. That works for me. This is the Bird Watcher channel. It’s dedicated to live coverage of Orioles baseball. Yeah, especially a late game losing. Are we good? Oh, everybody here is good. somebody was driving me nuts for about two or three games and uh you know that’s all I can say in terms of identification but holy cow just being bombarded and the and in in the corner of my mind calling these games I’m like BW don’t don’t jump on the dude seems like a friendly dude. Hasn’t said anything wrong or nasty. So, go with the flow. Dave Dave the kayaker is still aggressively texting and holding up the base. Okay, dude. Honestly, do we really I mean, is this going to be on your epitap? I I know it’s a nice moment. All right. Why? Because of the kayak, you get an extra 10 minutes of milking this. There’s 30 people around the league catching a home run ball tonight. You’re one of them. Jackson Holiday strikes out to begin the top of the fifth. Well, I got my home run ball with a kayak. So, and my name’s Dave. It’s on my shirt. Uh, 10 away. Here is Jeremiah Jackson. Hi, folks. This is BitterBW at calling the game right now. Jeremiah. Bitterbw pitch is up and away to Jeremiah. Hey, there’s a sailboat not too far off the uh outfield there. When Cowser comes up, he’s going to hit that sailboat. There’s a called strike to Jackson. Jeremiah Jackson. One and one. No, this dude ain’t bad at all. He’s extremely overly friendly. Like everybody’s familiar with the movie What About Bob, right? Where Bill Murray is Bob and Richard Drifus is his therapist. Here’s a soft grounder over the mound and Jeremiah is going to reach on an infield hit. Jeremiah Jackson is aboard with a one out single. Robbie Ray put the glove down. The ball hit right back to him. Ball snuck under there. The shorts stop with a bare-handed play, but too late. We’ve got a base runner and Gunnar Henderson is up right now. His name’s Gunnar and he’s dating my mom. Bailey the catcher out to talk to Ray the pitcher. Ray, there’s a reason why they chose me, Ray. Just as there was a reason that why they chose you. Throughout history, Rey, the one constant has been baseball. People will come, Ray. People will most definitely come. Gunner Henderson versus Robbie Ray. First pitch is high. Ball one. Well, you said your finger was a gun. And on the ground, base hit into left center field. Gunner with a worm burner. And going first to third is Jackson Gunner sneaking into second base. Oh my. Close play there. Very, very aggressive. Gunner coming in on the second base with the throw into third. Second and third with one out, folks. Splash it up. Splish. Splash. I was taking a All right, here’s Mount Castle. Two RBI doubles already tonight. And he’s up there hacking. First pitch, swinging a miss. That pitch above the zone. Chance for Mounty to have a huge night. Two doubles, two RBI already. Two men on with one out in scoring position. And that pitch is high. One ball, one strike. Okay, mount up. Get those castles up in the chat, folks. Get those castles up. Here’s the pitch up the middle. Base hit. Base hit. One run is in. Here comes Gunnar. The throw is late. It’s a two-run single for Mounty. Four RBI on the night. He’s three for three. Folks mount up. It’s nine to six. We ain’t done yet. It’s magic. Folks, pitching change for the Giants. Robbie Ray is knocked out. He cannot win this ball game. One out in the top of the fifth. The Orioles down three. One out with a runner at first. And I think there was a super chat. Enanu 4961. Whoever the all-star is that bought me a membership, thank you so much. You are a champ. That probably it’s hard to say. There was a gentleman last night by the name of Nirvana. I can’t remember the full name, but that guy gifted 20 free memberships. You might be one of them. If not, then the thanks goes to Annie. So you can thank them both there in Kanu and I can thank you for your contribution to the channel folks. People scratching each other’s backs over here. Helping hands. It’s a good thing. Appreciate it everybody. I appreciate the support and especially uh helping uh or uh you know giving hooking other people up. hooking other people up. I like to see people hooking up, folks. I like to see people hooking up. Hey, everybody, we’re all going to get laid. All right. How about How about a night for Ryan Mount Castle? How about a night so far for Ryan Mount Castle? Uh, give me one sec. Wow, did we make the second out super fast? I was gone for a blink of an eye and it looks like out number two just got made. Spencer Bivvens, a right-hander making his 44th appearance, is on for the Giants. He’s got an erra of 4.31. Colton Cowser is up to hit, folks. Inside ball one to Cowser. Runner at first with two down. The Orioles are down three runs. Two runs in on the inning. Ryan Mal Castle has driven in four runs so far tonight. That pitch is low. Two and0 to Cowser. Ah, okay. Gotcha. Yeah. I don’t know what’s going on with the screen names here. I wish it would revert back to what I’m used to. I don’t know what to do. Maybe I need to look it up. Maybe I set something. I don’t know. Uh 20 pitch. That ball’s heading to center field. Backing up is Lee. He’s on the track. He’s got room. Hower hit that ball a long way, but it will go down as out number three. The inning is over. The Oils get a couple of runs back. They gave up two in the bottom of the fourth. They got those back with two in the top of the fifth. Back to a three-run game. Giants nine, oral six, folks. Lots of field goals tonight. YouTube did it and most all channels have it. What? The way the the screen names look. I swear I feel like when I go to other channels like JJ or Rhino that people’s names don’t look like this. Maybe they do. Maybe I just haven’t picked up on it. I don’t know. I don’t know. Folks, can we please try to make a push to 100 likes according to what I’m looking at right now? We got a 100 plus people here. We’re up into the 80s with the like count. Please tap that thumbs up if you haven’t done it already and let’s try to get to 100 on the night. So, it is like this on other channels. Well, at least I don’t feel the guilt. At least I don’t feel the guilt like it’s something wrong uniquely with my channel. That would make me feel bad. I didn’t want to feel bad. Like Holly Berry said in Monsters Ball, folks, make me feel good. Make me feel good. What? Too soon? Too late? I don’t know. Hey KK. Yeah. What do you think of those emojis there? What do you think? You got some Popeye. You got the I hope we have a reason to use the Westberg emoji again here pretty soon. Folks, this team just ain’t the same without Jordan Westber. Let me tell you that right now. Hey, here I am. Here I am. Rocky like a hurricane. Here I am. All right, bottom of the fifth. Corbin Martin is on the pitch some more. 24 pitches already. Number 25 is ball one to Luis Moss. Mattos bottom of the order up for the Giants. Fly ball to left. Hit deep. Going back. That ball is gone. 10-6 Giants. Why is Martin throwing a second inning after 24 pitches thrown already? He’s not a guy to be going more than one inning on 24 pitches. What do you What are we doing? Why Why are we acting like we don’t have arms to go to in this bullpen? Like a couple of games back against Boston, we had a game where Dietrich N started Roanzi Contrarus, who we knew was going to be called up for one game only to get cut again, pitches four and a third, and then we bring out Aken and make him go two innings. Like we had seven relievers we didn’t go to in that game. Why? Why? Why are we making Martin throw another inning? I I Ground ball to first by Bailey. It’ll be gathered by Mount Castle. He’ll take it to the bag unassisted for the first out in the bottom of the fifth. Oh boy. an effing fifth. Is this game not even half over yet? Oh my god, it it is half over. Only just that pitch is high to Gilbert. Drew Gilbert lifted his average about 30 points with a double his last time up. Now hitting a buck 20 and Martin falls behind him 2 and 0. Is somebody up or is Martin just going to pitch the fifth inning no matter what we no matter what he does? Is that the plan? Here’s the 2-1. That’s a strike. Oh god. All right. Two two pitch hit on the ground to Holiday. He gets set. He throws. And uh that’s out number two. Sorry, I just kind of fizzled out on that call. Uh that is the second out of the bottom of the fifth. Back to the top of the order. Fourth time through here is Jung Huli. Fourth time through the order. We’re only in the fifth. Curve ball for a strike. Le one for two with a walk. Another breaking ball fouled away and the count 0 and two. If Manolino is the manager of any Major League Baseball team next season, I will I will shave a stripe. I’ll have an inverted mohawk. I will I will just take my Clippers and go like this and just leave a giant runway of baldness down the middle of my of my head. Okay, there’s no way Tony is managing anybody. Not at this level. Two balls, two strikes, two down. The pitch up and away. Up, up, and away. Look, it’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, it’s a bad pitch from Corbin Martin. Yinier Canó is up in the bullpen. Payoff pitch hit on the ground. Holiday with another play and the inning is over. Corbin Martin comes off for a second inning of work. Gives up a home run to Luis Mtos. And the Giants are now up by four. Score is 10 to six, folks. Giants got a field goal and a touchdown. Ravens with a couple of field goals. I’m sorry. 49ers. I don’t know. Whatever. I I don’t know, folks. I don’t know. I’m I’m getting comfortable. I’m leaning back. I might even do the old forget this thing and just Yeah, let’s just let’s just rest this thing right here on the old chest, folks. I better monitor how check oh. Okay. Hello. Is this thing on folks? Road trip starting out uh starting out interesting. Hey, so I don’t really have this uh planned out or anything, but I think I’m going to call some postseason games for the channel. I don’t know which postseason games to call yet. Obviously, there’s no set uh games, but I feel like it would be good for the channel and uh gets get a little more uh you know, a little more in here before the season’s completely over. Oh, I did need a twohour mark reminder tonight because of this Apple TV game. Getting the game back up right now. I do have to go out of the country for a little bit uh at some point in October. So, all plans revolve around that first, but Kobe Mayo leading it off in the top of the six. Bivons is on for another inning after just four pitches to end the fifth. Mayo 0 for two has averaged just 186. Come on Kobe, get it going. Ball hit on the ground hard to third. Chapman picks it cleanly. Throws across the diamond in time. Mayo is retired. That average continues to plummet for Kobe Mayo. Uh it’s just my yearly uh yeah yearly gotta go out of the country and come back. I I I thought I was supposed to have taken this trip already like a couple of weeks ago, but I was given the good news and I’m hoping there’s nothing different than the news I was given. Dylan Beaver’s first pitch is a ball. Next pitch high two and0 to Beavers. Nice Bieber. Thank you. Uh but yeah, I won’t have to. Yeah, I I basically get two extra months on this current visa than I thought. Beavers with a fly ball to center. Backing up is Lee. He’s on the track. He’s got room. Another fly ball to the warning track tonight by the Orioles. large ballpark. I think I saw a stat that showed the park is 29th in total home runs. So, only one ballpark has seen less homers than this one on the season. Uh Jeremiah Jackson with two down. That’s a little grounded at third. Chapman throws on the run in time. Matt Chapman, the veteran, still got a really nice solid glove over there at third base. He’s good. He gets Jackson in the inning. Well, at least that inning went quickly. Bottom of the sixth coming up. We’re down by four. We are down by four. Yeah, I don’t think I’m going to exclusively call like for example the Yankees just uh as a hatewatch thing. I’m not leaving leaving them off the list either. If I were to tell you guys that I do have a a team I want to root on uh in the American League, are you going to hate me? Because I do. I really do want to see the Mariners go all the way or at least win the pennant, win their first pennant ever. They’re the only team and fan base that I feel like has has had it worse than us for the last 40 something years. Give them something. And you know, the whole magical season Cal Raleigh is having. Uh it would just be nice for the Mariners, I think, to finally get theirs. If we’re not going to get be in the playoffs, I’m going to root for them. And uh yeah, maybe I’ll call the Mariner games, you know, provided they get in. I do have an attachment to the Cubs. Again, I grew up uh you know with WGN on my cable package and uh I would often times run home from school when uh the season was still during the school year to catch uh the last five or six innings of Cubs games. And during the summer, you’d have the Cubs on the day and then watch the Orioles at night. It’s perfect. So, I might I might uh give the Cubs a little extra attention with some postseason calls on the National League side. I’m not going to sit there and be some kind of bandwagon jumping fan, don’t get me wrong. It’s just those are the teams I would, you know, be rooting for out of the lot. Yinier Canó is on the pitch and he’s already got an issue with that stupid thing they got to wear in their hat. Why? I just look at Canó like he’s holding this device like it’s the first time they’ve ever done this. And we have to watch pitchers do this like twice a week at least. Like what what is with this device that it constantly needs to be fiddled with? I mean, Canó is just holding it up to his ear like he’s trying to see if grandma’s calling him to congratulate him on something. You’re putting that in the hat. Okay. Are we good now? All right. All right. Here we go. Bottom of the sixth inning, part of the order up for the Giants. Adamus, Endeavors, and Chapman. Canó’s first pitch right back up the middle. And a diving stop by Holiday, but when he gets up, he doesn’t do anything but flip the ball over to Gunner. Nice stop by Holiday, but it’s an infield hit. I think Jackson was planning to pop up and throw, but Oh, the ball. The ball. He couldn’t hold the ball. Ball came out of his hand. Unbelievable. Uh, swinging a miss by Devers on the first pitch he gets. All right, check on the runner. Runner’s back safe. Ew. Damn Rafy, you chewing tobacco. There’s a called strike. 0 and2, excuse me. Rafy de turns around and says something animated to the ump. De’s back in the box. Oh, and to the count. Pitch is low from Cano and Des is chewing on a big old watt of tobacco. They still do this. Dude, you you’ve got like a $800 million contract. Uh this pitch is fouled away. Still one and two. You’re in the big leagues. You’re in the big league, too. One, two, pitch. Swung on and miss. Sit down, you tobacco spitting bastard. Well, y’all come back now. You hear? Sit down. Hit the bricks, pal. You’re done. Sit down. You get nothing. You lose. Good day, sir. Sit down. How about this? Peace. Dope. Now get the hell out of here. Here’s Matt Chapman. He looks at a strike. Is this channel just gonna just devolve into BW trashes people and roast people channel? Here’s a fly ball to center field. Cowser’s waiting on it and he makes the catch. Chapman flies out to center field. Here’s Dominic Smith. Last time up he hit one into the bay. some guy named uh I already forgot his name. Dude, that’s how little even with a name on your shirt. I’ve already forgotten you. That guy wanted his moment. Oh, there he is. Dave. There’s Dave. Hey, Dave. How you doing? Oh, you’re back on camera, Dave. Yes. Yes, Dave. There goes the runner down. And he’s safe. And it’s a stolen base by uh Who is that? Who is that guy? I can’t remember who the hell’s on base. Not Chapman. It’s not Devers. Is that Adamus? Adamus with a stolen base. Two down. Here’s Dominic Smith. And the 2 is inside. 3 and 0. 3 and 0 on Dominic Smith. Ball four. Canó with a four pitch walk. Cut it out. Hey Dave. Hey, you’re on camera again, Dave. Yeah. When When does it wear When does it finally wear off, Dave? What if this camera stayed on you for the next two hours straight? When When does it finally wear off? I want to find a kayak with a a couple committing adultery at a Coldplay concert in a kayak. Here’s a foul ball by Casey Schmidt. First and second, two down for the Giants. Schmidt with an 02 count. Good grief. That one’s a foot off the plate by Canó. One ball, two strikes. It is 10 to six Giants. They’ve got first and second with two down. Yinier Canó swinging a miss. The inning is over. Well, y’all come back now. You hear Dave and Steve stink. All right, we go to the top of the seventh inning. Seventh inning time, folks. Act three. Are you ready? We are 12 likes away from 100, folks. What do you say? What do you say while I’m talking, we at least get to 90? Let’s creep over the line, folks. We’re getting into the late innings. Please hit that like button at the bottom of your screen if you haven’t done it already. Please subscribe to the channel if you haven’t done it already. There’s a button below. It’s free and uh there’s a lot of good reasons to do it, but I’ve went I’ve gone over them tonight already. I don’t want to bug those who have already subscribed. I got to walk a fine line here, folks. You got to understand, I have to appeal to new people to join, but do it at a rate that won’t annoy those who already have and to keep them around. You see what I’m talking about, folks? It’s walking a tight rope. I’m walking a tight rope. Okay, you feel me? 3350. Whoa, look at that. Somebody just subbed up. All right. Thank you for that. And I want to thank you very much for that. I really do. I can’t play that for more than two seconds. It already gave me a copyright thing once. I really should just take it out of the board. 3 seconds of cool in the gang will get you into trouble with YouTube. But yeah, let’s celebrate. Thank you folks. 3350 in counting. Let’s go. Once again, uh I do want to remind folks that this Monday, Labor Day, is a big uh big sort of again I I I want to limit how much I sort of try to get folks to, you know, support the channel, you know, like uh in a like a PBS kind of a way. Uh Jackson Holiday is gonna hit one in center field. It’s dropping. It’s going to find the triangle, the Bermuda Triangle between left field, center field, and shortstop. Jackson Holiday drops in a hit. Leadoff man is on. We need base runners. That’s a good start. Yes. So, this Monday uh will be the 300th straight regular season game called by me and we’re going to celebrate. It’s Labor Day. I’m laboring over here and hopefully uh we can really get the subscriber count up. Yes. uh super chats and other donations of that sort will be very much welcomed and kind of counted on. Uh but it’s really the subscriber count. I really want to get that puppy up. Jeremiah Jackson at the plate. He’s already behind 0 and2. Gage, a lefty is on the mound for the Giants. Holiday got on with the leadoff single and Jackson strikes out. Going after a pitch above the zone. He strikes out on three pitches. One away. All right, Gunner’s coming up. Let me get a first name on this pitcher. Don’t know this guy. Matt Gage. Wow. His erra is 0.82. Hopefully he hasn’t pitched all that much. 22 appearances, 22 innings with an erra under one. Yikes. We got to try to come back off of this guy. A82 ERA in 22 innings for Gage. 10 pitch to Gunner. is grounded foul first base side. That’s right, folks. Get those gunners up in the chat. We have We’re now up to 90 likes, 10 more to go. They get to a hyundo. One pitch fouled straight back. Come on, folks. One and two. The count. Gage from the belt. The pitch in the dirt. Two and two. Charm City chat. What do you say? Giants have a righty Jose BH up and throwing. But oh, two- two pitch to Gunner. Breaking ball popped up behind the plate. Get out of play. Get out of play. Get out of play. It’s out of play. It is out of play. Gunner stays alive with a two two count. Runner at first with one out in the top of the seventh. Hello. Oh, I play the show all the time, Thomas. By play, I I’m simulating about as much as I’m playing. Here’s a ground ball to third. That’s a tailor made double play ball, but Gunner speed beats out the relay throw. Chapman started a 543 double play. It’s as perfect of a double play ball situation as you could ask for for San Francisco. But Gunner hustling down that line. Give Gunner credit for busting his ass down the line there. Chapman looks surprised that that double play didn’t get turned. There was a little bit of a hesitation, little bit of a moment there where he didn’t cleanly get the ball out and throw it to second, but I mean, we’re talking we’re talking fractions of a millisecond or something. Okay, Mount Castle, folks. Mount Castle, what a night for him. Okay, mount up. This is what we want to see. Okay, three for three, two doubles, four RBI on the night for Mount Castle. Curve ball in there. A strike. One and one on Mounty. Let’s give Mounty his biggest night of the season. Come on. Pitch in the dirt. Two and one, folks. Get those castles up. Castles in the sky. Okay, mount up. Come on now. The Seagulls are starting to hover around the ballpark. Mounty with a fly ball to right. That ball is going to be caught down there for the final out. Mounty big night but could not keep the inning going here. The inning is over. The Orioles still trail at 10 to six. It is seventh inning stretch time in San Francisco on a Friday night. Right. It’s time to throw some cakes on the griddle. Get those cakes up in the chat, folks. Thank God I’m a country boy. Life ain’t nothing but a funny funny riddle. Thank god I’m a country boy. All right. Thank god I’m a country boy. I’m ready for some uh breakfast. I did have breakfast already. What am I talking about? Late morning. I already had bacon and eggs. One more sip of coffee. There it went. It’s like a baby sippy cup. That’s better. Drink like a man. You can act like a man. Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. Like men. Why Why am I doing this? Why am I doing this? I don’t know. Why? Annie up and kick in like men. Like men. All right. What happened to Harry Bellfonte? Folks, I’m glad he’s gone, but I kind of enjoyed it while he was here. Bottom of the seventh, bottom of the order up. Cano still on the mound. First pitch is a slider top of the zone for a called strike. Moss is three for three with three RBI. A home run his last time up. That one’s low. One ball and one strike. Big crowd here. They uh they always have a good attendance in San Francisco. Fouled away. It’s one and two. I need to make it out to San Francisco one time. One two pitch hit on the ground and gobbled up by Rivera. He spins, throws, gets Moss. Okay, Emanuel Rivera. An above average play right there. Keeps Moss from getting a four for four night. Nice spin and throw after going deep uh going far to his left get to that ball. Canó taps his glove in appreciation and that’s going to spell the end of the night for Canó. He’s coming out of the ball game. All right, I’m assuming we’re going to go to a lefty and uh I don’t know. We haven’t seen Wolfram in a while. Akin and Ends both pitched a couple of innings each a couple of days ago. Is it time for Grant Wolfam? We’ll see who’s due up for San Francisco. Why this change right now? You bring Canó out for one batter? Talk to me, Tony. What What’s the thinking here? What’s the thinking? Uh Bailey, a switch hitter coming up. All right, whatever. I don’t know. I don’t know why Tony does the things he does. Wolfrram is going to come into the ball game. Martin threw 40 pitches. Canó threw 20. Why did they make Martin throw twice as many pitch? Oh god. Martin gave up those three runs, two homers. It would be a one-run game right now if it wasn’t for that three-run inning by Martin, which was his second inning of work. I’m sorry, it wasn’t a three-run inning. Two in the fourth, one in the fifth, but whatever. We used Martin too much, I think. And I demand a refund. The other day I went in and I bought a donut and the guy gave me a receipt. I do not need a receipt for a donut. I don’t think there will ever be an occasion where I have to prove to somebody that I purchased a donut. I give you the cash, you give me the donut. We do not have to bring ink and paper into this. Grant Wolfram gives up a first pitch base hit to Drew uh Patrick Bailey. So there you go. Tony goes to the lefty. The switch hitter Bailey turns around. First pitch he sees base hit. Man, Manelena really knows his stuff. Wolf from making his 16th appearance now facing Gilbert. That’s a strike. That was so low. What? That kicked up dirt. Okay. I mean, long as it’s not a call against us, guess I’ll I’ll let that go. Uh 0 and one on Gilbert. But that’s low and away, I guess. One ball, one strike. Grant Wolfram on in relief. Canó went an inning and a third. Gave up a hit and a walk. Did not give up a run. Breaking ball. Nice. Caught the top inside corner. Gilbert was bailing out of the way, but it’s a strike. One and two. One and two. Hit hard. Backhanded by H. What was that? What was that? Was Holiday trying to flip it out of the glove to Gunner in one motion? Was he trying to do some kind of razledazzle there? Cuz that did not work. What is Holiday doing? He’s slipping and sliding and screwing up out there. That ball just pops out of his glove again. Jung Hu Lee swings and fouls off the first pitch. He sees first and second for the Giants. One out. Yeah, Holiday I mean his defense started really shaky when he got called up last year. Like he was nervous and then he he he got it under control. But I’m starting to see things that are becoming habits that are not good habits. 0 and2 on Lee. Wolf from turns around to look the runner at second back. The crowd groans pitch outside corner called. Strike three. See you later, Jung-H Lee. Two down. That’s Jung. Lee Jung Lee Jung Lee Jung Lee Jung Lee. All right, I’ll get it down. Here’s Willie Adamus. Two down first and second. Okay. Haven’t seen pull in a while. That’s a hell of a first comment in several months. Let’s just throw those two words out there and see what happens. How you doing there, Paul? Willie Adam’s first pitch is a strike. Check swing. That should be strike two. Instead, they appeal the swing and they say he didn’t go. Problem was it was a strike anyway, but we didn’t get the call. One ball, one strike on Adamus. That’s over the plate below. Oh, that voice is getting scratchy, isn’t it? Hi-ho. Hi-ho. Okay, I’m I’m okay now. 2-1 pitch, line drive, base hit in the left. That should score a run. Here comes the run home. It is 11 to one. Wolfram comes in and gives up a run. Man, our bullpen stinks. It stinks. 11 to six. Deers is up again. Looks at a strike right in there from Wolram. The 01 is called a strike. We got the corner and it’s 0 and2. I mean, Jackson Holiday, do better, dude. You want uh you want to have a good career, make a good impact on the team, prove to everybody you’re a star, get it done. Do it. Honeymoon’s over. 02 to Des line drive in the left. A base hit. That’s going to score another. It’s 12 to six. That throw is way the hell off line. And everybody’s moving up a base. He’s going to try to score. Wow. As ugly as it gets. The Orioles threw the ball around like a pinball. Throw came in offline to the catcher. so far off the plate. The runner went to second base and when the throw to second base went in, another runner broke for the plate and that runner scores. It is an absolute disaster. An absolute disaster. Just uh as ugly as uh as ugly as it gets. 13-6. Deers is now the only man on base. He’s at second with two down. I’d break down that last play for you folks, but you’re better off just watching it with your own eyes later. I’m sure John Boy will have fun with it. Ground ball to third. Rivera low throw and Mount Castle can’t dig it out. And a runner coming around from second. Did he come in to score, too? It’s a calamity, folks. That throw from Beavers was awful. And then nobody was covering the plate. Wolram, why was Rol, where was Wolf from? He’s behind the plate waiting for the catcher to get back to receive that throw. Wolram, you got to be the guy. The [ __ ] was he doing? Three errors in the inning. Ugly, ugly, ugly. Folks, if this is a Tinder date, swipe left. Or is it right? I don’t know. Whatever. Go to the next date. 13-6 is now the score. Dominic Smith is at the plate. That ball’s hit hard into right. A base hit. That’ll score another run. 14-6. Time to get a position player out for the eighth inning. Right, folks. It’s time to play. Which position player pitches the bottom of the eighth? I’ll put my money on. Is Luis Vasquez still on the team? Let me check. It’s hard to say with our roster since there’s five guys moving in and out every day because we’re throwing so much crap at the wall. We got to see what sticks, right everybody? Casey Schmidt. That pitch gets away from the catcher. Good god. is uh Luis Vasquez. Yeah, he’s on the team. Luis Vasquez will be pitching the bottom of the eighth, folks. Two touchdowns for the 49ers tonight, folks. When the season started, weren’t you excited about Shawn Dubin and Dietrich Ends and Rico Garcia and Corbin Martin and Cade Straoud and Grant Wolfram and Alex Jackson and Emanuel Rivera and Luis Vasquez and Dylan Carlson and Daniel Johnson. Weren’t all you guys super excited? I just named half our roster. Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? Here’s Casey Schmidt. He goes after the first pitch, flies it to center. Cowser is waiting on it and he’ll get it. The inning is over. This particular chapter of this particular nightmare is over for now. We go to the eighth inning. The Giants lead at 14-6. Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? This is our test. This is this is our test. What was the first 135 games? What was that? What have you done to my team, Mike? What have you done to my team? You bastard. God, who are these people? Thank you for the contract extension to Sammy Basio. Thanks. It’s a great the the other 127 critical decisions I’m not so sure about, but thanks for that one. Yeah. What’s not to like? Emanuel Rivero leaded off. Katon Win is on just his third appearance. He’s gone a couple of appearances without giving up anything. Not too much known about this guy. Katon Win, a right-hander first pitch strike to Emanuel Rivera. That one’s way outside. The count is 101. Did we get to 100 likes? Oh no, but we’re almost there, folks. 100 likes, please. One- one pitch. Hit on the ground towards short. It’s hit soft. Rivera on the run, but he’s too slow. He’s not really on the run, is he? He’s on the jog. One out in the top of the eighth. Rivera on the jog. Here’s Colton Cowser. Ball one to cowser. He’s 0 for three and he’s batting 216. Chase is one low, one ball, one strike. Folks, we’re doing this tomorrow night. And guess what? It’s an hour earlier start 9:00 Eastern. Uh, first pitch at 9:15, I believe. Right. So come on back tomorrow if you dare. Oh, wait a minute. 8. No, it’s 8:00. What am I talking about? No, seven. I’m way off. Hold on, folks. I’m way off. Uh, we just struck out. Forget everything I just said about what time the game is tomorrow. I’m way the hell off. Uh 7:15 p.m. is first pitch tomorrow. All right. So, it’s like a regular East Coast start time on a night game. Okay. Uh Kobe Mayo looks at a pitch high for ball one. Two down, nobody on. Mayo 0 for three. 185 average. 580 ops. Not good. 2 and 0 the count. So, yes, we’ll be on the air tomorrow at 700 p.m. Eastern. First pitch at 7:15. Means I got to be up and on at 6:00 a.m. That’s normal for me. I’ll be fine. Back to normal tomorrow. Called a strike on Mayo. That looked a bit inside. The count is two and one. this. Yes, I need to fix the scroll. I probably screwed it up there as well. Thank you, Janet. There is a strike. So, seven right. Okay. Okay. Seven. Two- two pitch. Mayo lifts one to left. Come on. Keep going. Keep going. And that ball is gone. By by birdie. Kobe Mayo spreads one out into the left field seats. The Orioles are halfway to 14. One more touchdown to go. Mayo lifts one out of here. It’s 14-7. Mayo gets a home run ball. It’s magic. All right. Maybe we won’t see a position player pitch in the bottom half of the inning. Is that Jer? Oh, well, we do have Daniel Johnson hitting. Maybe we have given up. I don’t know. Swinging a miss. It’s 0 and2 on Johnson. So, he comes in to pinch hit four. Wait for it. Keep waiting for it. Uh, he’s in for Beavers. Why? Just because of Beavers’s error. Why Why is he hitting for Beavers? This is grounded foul. It’s one and two on Johnson. Anybody got a good reason for this? You’re pinching the lefty beavers for the lefty Johnson. And Johnson strikes out. Okay, whatever that was. We go to the bottom of the eighth. Mayo with a home run makes it 14-7 Giants ahead. The win probability according to ESPN for the Giants is currently 99.9%. So you’re telling me there’s a chance. Let’s take a look around the league. There’s We’re the only game on. Everything else is over. We’re the only game. How can we Is it me or are we the team that either plays first and if we’re not playing first then we’re the last team to play. Can’t we ever I think we ask for this intentionally. We want to be on when no one else is playing. Maybe to increase an audience of neutral fans. Oh well, this is the only game on. Let me see. I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s warm in here. I’ll tell you that. What’s up with that? Let me go see what’s going on with the AC, folks. I’ll be right back. Getting hot. It’s afternoon here, by the way. This is a first. I don’t remember ever calling an oral game on my side. After noon, 12:05 p.m. here currently in Thailand. That’s right, folks. We’re enjoying a Saturday together for the last hour or so. That’s nice. You finally caught up with me, everybody. Uh Daniel Johnson stays in the game. He’s in left field for Beavers. I don’t know if Beavers is hurt. I don’t know if Beavers was taken out as punishment for uh a bad throwin. But he wasn’t the only one that made an error in that inning. It certainly didn’t make sense offensively to pinch hit Johnson for Beavers. Moss with a base hit to left. Fourth hit of the night for Luis Mtos. Just another player you didn’t know about who has their best game of the season against us. We’re good at that, aren’t we? We’re like uh Men’s Warehouse. When you play us, you’re going to like the way you look. Here is Patrick Bailey. He takes high for ball one. 10. Swung on and missed. Bottom of the eighth. Giants up by a touchdown. One- one from Wolfram is hitting the air to center. Cows are right in his tracks. Makes the catch. One down in the eighth. Well, I’m going to check and see if there’s an update about beavers because it really didn’t make sense. It’s either injury or punishment. I’m kind of hoping it’s punishment. Even though that would be kind of bad for Beavers, it’s still better than getting hurt. Uh Gilbert at the plate. He goes after a pitch, hits it into left center field. That one splits the outfielders and rolls all the way to the track. Daniel Johnson will get it in. Moss rounds third. He’s going to try to score and he will without a play at the plate. 15-7 Giants. I apologize for Baltimore. So, it’s it’s not the best option, but it just is what it is. I apologize for this one. I apologize for Baltimore. So, it’s it’s not the best option, but it just is what it is. What was that? It was bad. It It had nothing. No fire, no energy, no nothing. So, it’s it’s not the best option, but it just is what it is. So, it’s it’s not the best option, but it just is what it is. Back to the top of the order for the sixth time. Jung Hu Lee looks at a strike. Yeah, I didn’t stutter. Sixth time, folks. I just got up to open the sliding glass door and for the 10 seconds I was gone, the Giants just scored again, I think. Or was I just looking at a replay? I don’t know. I guess it was a replay. Jung Hulie at the plate with an 02 count. fouled away. Still 0 and2. Wolram, how many pitches are you up to, buddy? 33. Won’t be seeing him tomorrow. 0 and2 the count. Runner at second. One out. [ __ ] come on, Blue. You want to be here all night? Middle of the plate. Bottom of the zone, you dick. Why don’t you wake up and smell what you shoveling? One, two, pitch. Fouled away, folks. Tonight is not a family affair. Not the beast. Not the beast. My eyes. Who are you? One, two, called. Strike three. Lee goes down looking. Lee goes down looking. Moss came stumbling in on that last run. I guess that was what I was looking at a replay of. What happened there? And what is going on with Beavers? Can I get an update on Beavers? Call to strike. Curve ball to Adamus. He’s got a four hit night going. Four for five. Good grief. How many hits for the Giants? 18. 18 hits. Folks, I don’t think this postgame show is going to last very long. Might be a record. Fly ball fouled back by Adamus. Yeah, folks, I need to have an update. I need to know Beavers is healthy, that Beavers is good to go. hashtag. What happened to Beavers? Pitch is high. Two and two. Oh, I’m off camera. Oh, no. I’m not off camera. Hi. I can’t keep up. Wolf’s 5,000th pitch of the night is inside. Full count. I know I’m buff. You don’t have to tell me I’m buff. I knew that already. 3-2 pitch in the dirt and the appeal says the batter went around. Adamus is out on a check swing appeal. Inning over mercifully. Ninth inning coming up. We’re down eight. We’re down eight. The year end stats for our O’s are not looking too good. Yep. This is not the soup I ordered. blimp. H. I just closed my door and looked out toward the street. And across the street here is a seafood restaurant that uh typically while I’m calling games is closed under the cover of night, early morning, but it is Saturday a quarter afternoon and that place is absolutely slammed. It is a full parking lot with cars going around looking for spaces that don’t exist. That place does mad business on the weekends and they are doing well right now. I’m hungry. Top of the ninth. Oh, top of the ninth to you. Ah, how you doing, boys and girls? Top of the ninth to you. Oh, this is BW coming at you late night on a Friday. Now it’s Saturday. Hey, it’s uh Alex Jackson leading it off and he takes ball one 0 for two with a walk. A run scored as Jackson line drive, base hit into left field, left center field. center fielder will get it back in. Okay, there’s one base runner. Seven more to go. Top of the order for Jackson Holiday. One for three. Singled, walked, stole a base, scored a run. Has not had a good night in the field. Line drive through into center field. A base hit. Going first to third is Alex Jackson. Well, a miracle ninth inning eight-run rally. Can only begin like this. It can only begin like this. Long way to go. But, uh, the right part of the order is starting to come up. Here’s Jeremiah Jackson, one for three with a walk. He scored two runs tonight. That one’s crushed, but he’s way out in front of it. Jackson just couldn’t wait on that pitch. Fouls it off. It’s 0 and one. takes off the plate. One ball and one strike. Let’s get to 10 runs and then we’ll start to talk. One- one pitch on the outside edge. That one tailed back over the corner for strike two. One, two, off the plate. Two balls, two strikes to Jeremiah Jackson. And the pitch off the plate. Ball three. All three. Full count. Gunner is not on deck. Check. Swing. Did he go? Don’t ring him up. They r him up. They rang him up. Jackson went around on ball four and strikes out. One down in the ninth and it looks like Gunner’s out of the game. Luis Vasquez. Great. Why would you only make this move, Tony? I mean, if you’re gonna if you’re gonna sit people, why just gunner now? I I I Okay, Vasquez swings and misses. It’s no balls and two strikes. Would have been nice for Gunner to be hitting in this spot. That’s grounded to short. Go to second for one over to first. Safe. A run will score the Orioles. An RBI ground out by Luis Vasquez makes it 15-8. Can we get eight more? Eight down, eight more to go. Here’s Ryan Mount Castle. Two down in the ninth. Oh, wait a minute. We’re out of outs. Damn it. Pitch off the plate for ball one to Mount Castle. Big night. Three hits, two doubles, four RBI. Checks his swing. It’s 2 and 0. wins 20 pitch on the outside corner for a strike. The 2-1 pitch laid off three and one. Three and one. Oh boy. Did we get to 100 likes? We did. That is called strike three and a late call by the ump. Mount Castle had already flipped his bat toward first. Why are you delaying that strike call, Blue? Why were you so late to call that a strike? And look how much the catcher moves his glove to pull that ball in. Mounty is disgusted. Full count. Two down in the ninth. The pitch tapped foul will do it again. Mounty isn’t quite done yet, folks. So, I hope you’ll join me tomorrow night, 7:00 p.m. Eastern. So, it’s sort of a late afternoon start, local time on the West Coast. Regular night game start for the East Coast. Fouled again by Mounty. It’s still three and two. Crowd cheering. Let’s go Giants. Still a ton of people here. All of them are on their feet. Well, most of them. Pitch fouled again by Mount Castle. He will not go gently into that good night. Eight pitch at bat so far. Orioles will be uh what? Losers of nine out of 10 or something if they drop this. Eight of nine. Tapper back over the mound. F uh fielded by the shortstop. Over to first in time and this ball game is over. The Orioles start this road trip uh with some offense, but no pitching. And I mean no pitching. The Giants did not score tonight in only one inning where they batted one. They scored four in the first, two in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth. They decided to take a break and not score in the sixth. Added four more in the seventh, sprinkled in one more in the eighth. 15 runs on 18 hits. They’ve now won six games in a row. So, they are probably as uh they are probably as pumped and full of momentum as they’ve been all season. And uh we’re here for it. Great timing on our part. Bivons gets the win and relief. Dean Kramer gets the loss. He now has a losing record of nine and 10 on the season. Only went three innings tonight. gave up seven earned runs on nine hits and a couple of walks. The bullpin wasn’t much better. Corbin Martin, two innings, three runs, two hits in a walk. Canó gave up a hit in a walk in an inning and a third, but he didn’t give up a run. And Grant Wolf, six hits in an inning and two/3. Somehow only gave up one run. Uh it was ugly. All three pitchers out of our bullpen have an RA over five. Kramer with his bad outing, his RA has ballooned to over four and a half. And uh yeah, we did have some nice offensive numbers tonight, but the defense, man, that was bad, too. Three errors all in one inning. And uh that was when I think we all just pretty much threw up our hands and said, “Let’s hurry up and end this. Let’s end this nightmare.” Uh the Orioles are now 14 games under 500. We are getting close to matching our worst record of the season. uh whatever positive uh strides we were making uh they seem to be in the distance right now. Trevor Rogers is going to start tomorrow night. That is pretty much the only thing he can feel optimistic about. The Orioles probably don’t need to score eight runs to help Rogers get a win tomorrow, but hopefully they didn’t. uh blow their load here tonight and and give Rogers no run support tomorrow. We need some run support, please, for Trevor. Game two tomorrow, man. Oh, man. Oh, man. Let me look at one more thing here just to soak it all in. Just to soak this all in. Wow. Yep. We’ve lost eight out of nine. This is the uh worst stretch we’ve been on in the second half of the season. Sucks. Sucks, guys. Uh I don’t know what to tell you. We’re going to try to figure out a way to enjoy tomorrow’s game. Trevor Rogers again is pitching that. So, please, you might only want to watch one game this week. Let it be when Trevor Rogers is on the mound. Remember, we’re up to a six-man rotation. So, you don’t get to see Rogers every fifth game for the remainder of the season. It’s only one every six. So, you’ll want to be here for that tomorrow. 7 o’clock. The stream will start 7:15 first pitch. Uh there is no announced starter yet for the Giants tomorrow. So that means they’ll probably have some kind of a bullpen or emergency callup spot starter from TripleA. Another situation where we should win. Rogers versus an unannounced pitcher. Sounds like we should win. I hope we do. I’m tired of losing. All right, that’s going to wrap up tonight’s ball game, folks. And uh I don’t think there’s anywhere to send you. And I don’t think you need to be sent anywhere except to bed. So go to sleep and uh don’t dream about this game if you can help it. Come on back tomorrow evening, folks. Not so late. You can do it. Uh I’ll see you then. Have a good one, folks. Until tomorrow, this has been the bird watcher and I will chirp at you later. Oh, and thanks to everybody in the charm city chat for everything as usual. Uh the mods for their work, super chats, memberships, all that stuff. Thanks. Uh don’t want to forget to say that. See you tomorrow night, folks. Take care. I’ll chirp at you later.
