This is EXACTLY What the Bulls Needed…

This is exactly what the Chicago Bulls needed as Josh Giddy is getting ready to take a second massive leap with the Bulls in Billy Donovan’s new offensive scheme surrounding him while also this has a huge impact on the young players and also Giddy with the front office as these contract negotiations continue to loom and also that same young core that’s going to have to go through these contract extension negotiations with the same team as well. This is all going to fall into itself and have a huge connecting impact and we are going to break all that down. But guys, before we do that, if you’re part of that 72% that’s not subscribed to Bulls Digest, we have a ton of great Bulls updates for you that you do not want to miss out on. So, make sure you’re subscribed and you have those post notifications on so you do not miss a single Chicago Bulls update from us all throughout the rest of this offseason, preseason training camp, and obviously that regular Bulls season. But, let’s jump into the video, guys. There is a lot to go over on the Chicago Bulls because as we know Josh Giddy, he’s been the name to focus on with the Bulls all off season long. Yeah, the Bulls made the Lonzo Ball trade that brought them back. Isaac Aoro, we’re aware of that. And on top of that, obviously, there’s been some other stuff as well like Nicole Vuch and his future with the Bulls and Kobe White and his future with the Bulls. Both of those, well, you might want to say the lack there of a future with the Bulls. And then, but obviously it’s at the top of everything here is Josh Giddy. Giddy and the Bulls are stuck in a deadlock during these negotiations right now between $30 million per year and $20 million per year with the front office not wanting to pay more than $20 million per year for Josh Giddy services and on top of that Josh Giddy not wanting to go under $30 million a year wanting a contract that is very similar to those of Jaylen Suggs and Emanuel Quickley other combo guards who are more applying that point guard role and also have had similar numbers except Giddy’s had better numbers than both of them as far as last season went with the second half of that year. So, there’s a lot of questions surrounding Gideon and what’s going to happen next. And Josh Giddy just did the exact right thing for himself that’s also going to help out the Bulls in a lot of ways in the long run as it was revealed by Sam Facini that he got to see Josh Giddy work out earlier this week and he was very clearly working on catching and shooting. Catching and shooting that’s a big piece for him it feels like right now. So, we will see if he can translate spot-up shooting. That’s ultimately the key for him. If he can translate that, he becomes a guy that’s worth a ton of money. Now, Giddy is still worth a lot. Last year, he put up 14.6 points per game, eight rebounds, and seven assists. He had a good season. We saw the defense improve, and we saw the shooting improve. He shot 38% from three on the year. Shot 39% in the corner threes, where most corner threes are catch and shoot threes. He also shot 46 and a half% from the field. We’ve seen Josh Giddy work on his jump shot consistently since getting to that NBA level. And with that, we’ve seen it consistently improve in OKC. In his first year, he only shot 26% from deep. In 2022, his second year in the 2022 23 season, we saw him shoot 32% from three and then a little bit higher and nearly 34% from three and then this year he took that jump to that 38 range. Now, Giddy is an excellent fitting player with the Bulls. It’s also interesting that he had his best year at the Bulls. It’s the only time he’s ever started in his career was with the Bulls, but obviously we it’s not the point. I just wanted to mention it. But look, when it comes down to it, Josh Giddy is someone who very much, if he gets that shooting down, is going to be a dangerous player. And we’ve seen it already start to happen. After the All-Star break, Josh Giddy put up 21 points per game with 10.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game. He shot 45.7% from three, 81% from the field, and 50 or 81% from the free throw line, not from the field. Oh my goodness. And 50% from the field as well. That is phenomenal. downright phenomenal shooting splits. I mean, you’ve heard of 50 40 90, but 50 4581 is just as impressive. And Josh Giddy was doing it both off the dribble and on the catch. We saw that confidence grow with getting more touches. And that’s going to be absolutely huge for the Bulls going forward. Now, when you look at a guy like Patrick Williams who’s part of this Bulls young corn is not going anywhere because of that contract. He’s about to turn 24 years old. So, happy early birthday to Pat. But when it comes down to it, he put up nine points per game last year, four rebounds and two assists, and only shot 35% from three. He does shoot 39% on the corner threes, which means above the break, he’s not a good three-point shooter. He needs to get those numbers up. He needs to get that three-point shooting up. It is imperative for his growth as a player, especially after all these years in the NBA. Now, we need to see a jump from Pat Williams when it comes to that three-point shot. And he’s going to get more touches than ever this year because Giddy’s an unselfish player and there’s going to be a lot less guys to really give the ball to. I mean, Kobe White and VU are here for now, but that’s not always going to be the case throughout the rest of this season. And then you look at a guy like Isaac Gakoro, who really started to work on his three and shot 37% from deep, shooting 39% on corner threes as well. We see these younger guys who are going to be starting with Josh Giddy throughout the season. AOR and Williams are expected to be two of the real key factors. Now Williams, he might not start, but I do see a world where they go giddy, Aoro, Williams, Bzelis, and if Vu is gone by then, Jaylen Smith. I think that’s a very real situation that we have to prepare ourselves for. Or it might be IO instead of one of those wing guys. But they could run a three-wing set, which would be an interesting look with Giddy because that’s a big lineup. And we’ve seen big lineups like the Thunder have a lot of success recently. So that’s something we should take into account when we look at this Bulls team because it’s going to really matter. I mean, right now, this is the core that Josh Giddy has with him. I mean, Doumu could be his backup or he could move to that shooting guard spot. And a lot of it depends on how Giddy is shooting from downtown. Also, how I was shooting from downtown, but there’s a bit less of an expectation there. I expect Kobe White to get traded. I really do think the Bulls are going to smarten up and trade Kobe White understanding that he’s going to make way more than 80 $89 million next year. And because of that, over four years that is obviously. So, they’re going to have to move on from him. Meanwhile, Aora is there. Buzzel is obviously not going anywhere. And then Vu is likely not going to finish the season with the Bulls, which puts Jaylen Smith and Zack Collins up there. It’s not the greatest shooting unit by any means. So Josh Giddy being able to hit threes around these guys are going to be super helpful. Now also if Kevin Herder can have a bounceback year, that’d be incredible because then we could also flip him for more assets, which would be wonderful. But obviously he’s going to have to hit his threes again. So Kevin, get on it. But um he’ll also get touches as well. I mean, we’re seeing a team that can get a multitude of touches real quick for this team. And the shooting is the concern here. That’s something we have to think about. I mean, Bzelis after the All-Star break really started to pick things up as well cuz he got more touches. He was playing around 27 minutes a night in those 27 games. And he put up 13 points per game. He shot 46% from the field and 36% from three. And it was only his rookie year. So, I do expect Buzzles shooting to get a little bit better. And I think that’s a real key to him unlocking his game and really becoming the guy that we know Buzzel can become. And I’ve been such a long-term believer in Bzelis that I really do want to see this thing work out with him. I think I think it will too. I think with Giddy with Buzzel, it’ll be a nice core to start with. And also, if you can get your guys to start hitting threes so Gideon and Buzzel can get more space, that would be huge. So, Aoro has to match that year from last season that he had in Cleveland. I mean, Herder’s got to be shooting better. Pat Williams has got to be shooting better. Stuff like that that’s going to matter. So, then Giddy can get more spacing out there in the first place. As we know, the Bulls only offered Giddy $20 million last season because the first half of the year was uninspiring. But once things got going, it looked really, really good for Chicago and for Josh. I mean, look, obviously it’s a long way to go and this team’s not ready to really compete right now. But where everything stands, how long do we really want to be tanking for with Josh Giddy now on a bigger contract? We can’t hold on to him forever and just let him lose games. So, it’s not a long-term type of tank here. We need another star. We need a star player. That’s evidently clear. But to pull that off, it’s not easy. It’s the hardest part of this thing. So, honestly, I just want to see them keep building. And I want to see if Josh Giddy can turn into that guy. And him, if he’s hitting his threes like that, if he’s shooting consistently like that, he very, very much can turn into that guy. But what do you guys think? Let me know in the comments down below about all this. What do you think the future holds? When do you think this Josh Giddy saga comes to an end? Is he staying with the Bulls? I’m 99% sure. I’m I’m 100% sure he’s not going anywhere. Like this video, subscribe, turn on post notifications. Have a great day. I will catch you

  1. Giddeys a bust. His stats are shallow just like Westbrook. He never is in position on D cause he stays down low for cheap boards. He can't go left or use his left at all and he is too soft to lead YNs. Send his ass back down under

  2. I understand Chicago's stand, I understand Giddey! AKME is having Patrick Williams flashbacks, but in Giddey's defense, he is, he was far better than Williams was and probably would ever be even in his short time! In Chicago's defense, his agent and him needs to understand the business side! Now, someone needs to understand the word "compromise!" He wants 30mil/5?? If I'm AKME, i offer 25mil/3 with incentives! That shows love, appreciation and him and his agent should really, really take that in to consideration! Especially if he, Giddey, really likes Chicago! I would love to stay next to White if i were him! And Buzelis!!!

  3. Is this a bulls can't be criticized video? Are you kidding me on these Giddeys takes? Lol OK let him go for nothing for a reason and the Bulls won't pay him for a reason. So speak on that instead of his shallow ass stats; acting like he is D friggin Rose.

  4. Dude… I sell q-tips at a thousand dollars each to cats like you! So the assistant GM already told Vuc… to disregard the rumors, he's not going anywhere this year, period full stop. The President of basketball operations has said that Coby White is the priority, they are building around, not Josh Giddey, hence the contract stalemate. So stop with what you believe, and more of what the team hierarchy is telling you…if you want to grow your channel and gain more likes and subscribers!

  5. At a certain point, the goal has to be winning; not flipping players. We are not tanking. We are not complete. Having depth is a form of dominance when playing with pace. You have a group that at its core is young and athletic. A lot of the current players have or project to have alpha skills, ie skills that outperform the league. Giddy’s height and court vision. Coby’s handles and toughness in the lane; Matas’ handles, athleticism, shot blocking paired up with Essengue’s (so young). Ayo – Akoro defensive versatility. Yeah, it can all crash, but it can all work too. Guys like Dalen are working their asses off in the off season. Guys are playing for contracts. Cap space is one of the best in the league. You have draft picks, which is the most economic way to add talent. You need to see what this team is going to look like for at least the first half of the season. Fans constantly want high risk transactions or stars that have short shelf lives. I am old enough to remember friends wanting to flip Pippen for Alex English. Pippen wasn’t filled out and was scoring like 12 a game. Can you imagine that? Just my opinion, but I just want to see where this team is going. Anybody can get on board with a championship team. But, while rare, it is wonderful to watch one develop.

  6. Giddey's real worth is closer to $40 million/4 years, based on figures used for achievement. Get real. 1,000/500/500.
    Jokic. James. Giddey.
    The only 3.
    2/3 AREN'T being offered $20m.
There is a third option, and it IS being explored.
Giddey walks, gets $12 million in Australia, joins the Perth Wildcats. He then goes on the open market in 2026.
Because Chicago management is in the basement, being brainless losers, they lose again.
Chicago city and fans lose again.
White is a good player, but as with the other young players, he needs guidance and someone to bring them into play. Giddey is TEAM.
Giddey is 22, yet going on 30 in knowledge and team first involvement.
    45% 3's, let's not forget THAT!
    Triple doubles? They win games.
Having been involved in company management and instruction of high level management, in my opinion, by remote observation, Chicago Bulls company leadership might be the worst I've seen.
They fit every letter of every word written on the Dunning-Kruger graph; Unconscious Incompetents.
Stupid people have no possible way of knowing they're stupid.
Making money is easy, spending money is simple. Managing people to make YOU successful is the ultimate goal, the road to the very top level of success. Second rate people wont get you there. Underpaying people who can get you there results in winners leaving. You remain the loser.
The NBA needs to revisit its rules. This is a restriction of trade and individual freedom. Lawyers…..?
