With the season pretty much over, what have been your pros and cons from this season?

  1. Pros: Neto continuing to be excellent, Adell breakout year, Kikuchu a good sign, signed 20/20 from the draft, only 1 more year till free from Rendon’s contract

Cons: Worried about Trout’s future, O’Hoppe going ice cold for majority of the season, Soriano still inconsistent, didn’t sell at trade deadline, rotation very thin, Schanuel still lacking power

  2. Pros: the young guys getting valuable time, trout majority of season.

Cons: we still suck, pitching, manager, arte.

  3. Pros: Jo Adell being a good-to-great player was an amazing development! Neto being a Fringe if not already Top 10 SS in the league is amazing! Soriano has been a steady SP which we dont have any of. Kikuchi didnt implode like i thought he would. Nolan Schanuel improving slowly but steadily!

    Cons: Legitimately everything else.

  4. Pros: Promising draft, Trout being present in the lineup, Ward’s offensive production, Adell continuing to improve, healthy rotation, Detmers’ bullpen performance, and KENLEY JANSEN!!!

    Cons: Strikeouts, strikeouts, and strikeouts

  5. Pros: Breakthrough season for Jo Daddy and The Warden. Neto and Detmers just keep getting better and better too. Kendawwggg has been our best closer in forever and a healthy Trout is always a major plus

Cons: Inconsistent performances and Trout having a down year 😞. Let’s hope this is only a small bump and really brings it next season as do the rest of the fellas

  6. Pros: Adell and Neto have been amazing this season. I feel like Moore’s going to be a great player next year. It seems like we’re one or two players away from actually putting up a fight next year

Cons: we play great against great teams, and then we get swept the next series. Inconsistency.

  7. Pros: Adell and Neto

Meh: Detmers, Soriano, Kikuchi, Jansen, Ward

Cons: Everything else. But especially the lack of progress/regression from key parts of “the core” in O’Hoppe and Schanuel. They’re already a lacking core compared to say, the Athletics. It’ll be tough to compete and keep Neto if this is where they max out.

  8. Pros: Adell and Neto. Solid years for each. Ward has been nice, too. Trout played all season.

Cons: O’Hoppe manifesting the stereotype of catchers as poor hitters, I’m worried about Trout long term and whether he’ll get the magic back. Pitching is crap overall. Bad game management with or without Washington. Arte Moreno is one of the worst owners in the game.

  9. Pros: Development of the young core. Specifically Neto, Schanuel, and Adell making big strides. O’Hoppe still has a ways to go but has had moments and Moore looks like he’ll be a legit contributor.

Cons: Pitching. We have none. We have drafted and signed 67 pitchers since 2020 and all we have to show for it is Detmers and Bachman…. That’s fucking embarrassing. We’ve got no bullpen and no rotation. We need a “young core” in the pitching department.

Confusing: Trout. Most of his peripherals are solid and his OPS is great but he just isn’t putting up numbers. Power is absolutely gone, whiff rate is through the roof, he isn’t squaring up the ball and putting it in the air nearly enough. Hopefully whatever is ailing him will be gone by next year. He isn’t old enough to be declining this much.

  10. While I love our young core, the hitting approach and philosophy need to change. We leave so many runners on base. O’Hoppe and Schanuel need to focus on getting right, use the remainder of games and offseason to do that. Starting pitching has to improve, we should give Klassen, Aledegri, other young arms a chance to play. I know we want them to get right, but we won’t ever know if they’re ready unless they take their lumps at the big league level. (Fuck Arte)

  11. Cons: Arte

Pros: didn’t give Arte a cent and knew the season would end under .500 cause of course

  12. Pros: Adell finally breaking out, Neto showing that he can be an all star player and be the next face of the franchise, Ward going 30/90, Jansen stepping up, Travis and Moncada being solid off the bench, Reid being solid in the bullpen, the team actually being pretty clutch late

Cons: Arte still owns the team, Perry is still the GM, Trout falling off and still not being clutch at all or being a good leader, Logan O’Floppe being deep in the fraud allegations, Schanuel still having grandma strength, CMO being a flop so far and in over his head, NONE of the young pitchers showing any promise, very bad situational awareness by coaching, wasting our 2nd overall pick on Tyler Bummer, the team as a whole being very inconsistent and having no swagger outside of Neto

  13. Pro: we have about a month left, and have tied last seasons wins.

Many players are having breakout seasons. Including a lot of players breaking Angels records.

Con: they still suck a lot of the time lol

  14. Only two squads have two guys with 30+ bombs (Seattle & shockingly, the Halos), Ward doing his thing and Jo finally living up to the hype. Yet we’re still in dead last in the division. Having an owner who’s never committed to pitching is a killer. Arte, worst Owner in all sports, hard to convince me otherwise.

  15. Pros:

Career years for Adell and Ward

    Neto becoming a star

    Trout over 100 games played

    Nolan solid at 1B

SP not absolute shit and is healthy

    Cons:

    Trout is officially old

    Bullpen is mostly shitty

Team strikes out way too much

    Didn’t sell at the deadline

    Arte Moreno is still alive

  16. Pros: Neto and Adell

Cons: Arte needs to feel the team and TrOut needs to get shipped out.

  17. I’m glad young people made a lot of money. for being in their 20’s, early 30’s.. As a fan, nothing good to report, this team let me down immensely.

  18. Mike trout needs to be on a winning team

I feel like mlb ruined his career
    He deserves better
