Fautanu has flawless technique and he uses his long arms to consistently knock a defenders hands down and control the rep right from the get go. He gets out of his stance at an elite level and makes sure that he’s in control of every single rep because he’s got his feet set and his hands ready to pass protect. High level technique from troy and elite athleticism that was displayed not only in this game but all preseason long.
Jones has looked wayyyyyyy more comfortable at LT and he looks healthy this season. Jones is taller than troy and he gets out of his stance in a hurry as well and likes to use his hand to fake defenders into thinking he’s going for a punch when in fact he’s not which makes defenders hesitate and therefore lose the rep to him. High level mind games from jones and alot of athleticism and strength being displayed this game and this preseason. Jones wins in a different way than troy but the important thing is that he is winning and winning consistently rep in and rep out.
Cautiously optimistic about this line. Pass pro looked solid, granted it’s preseason and there aren’t complicated blitz schemes at this point. Optimistic in Rodgers being able to adjust protections better than what we’ve seen for 5 years. I’m not impressed with the run blocking so far, but we’ll see
Currently praying to whatever god will listen that Jones keeps progressing and regaining comfort on the left side. Excited for this season
