Los Angeles Angels vs Houston Astros – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 31, 2025 MLB Season
will DH today. Taylor Ward in left field. Joe Adell in center. Luis Renifo another switch hitter at second base. Travis Darno behind the plate. Matthew Lugo is in right field. Oswald PZA is the first baseman today. It is 17 and two/3 innings. And on a three-0 pitch, Zack Neto sends one into left center field. Hunter will take that out on a three-0 fly out to Yordon Alvarez. Speaking of you’re not swinging and a miss. Hunter Brown picks up a strike out. His first of the day getting Monata for the second out of the inning. That ball popped in the air in the shallow left. Long run for Yordon Alvarez. Out goes Pñena. Wouldn’t it? No, he couldn’t make the play. Jeremy had a long way to go and almost made a great catch, but it fell in in that outing in LA. Broken bat slowly hit. Pñena charges his throw in time to get Adele. And that’ll do it for the Angels on the ground towards short. They’re going to go to third for one. And that’s the only out they’re going to get. Pñena forced to third. That’ll be a called third strike. Kareah down looking. First strike out for Soraniano. Second out of the inning. He’s catching some of these catchers. Also Sanchez down on strike. So Soriana works around first and second. Nobody out. Getting the next three batters a lot. They used five of those six yesterday. Three of the six the day before. They used a lot in that Colorado series. This one tapped towards the right side. So Hunter Brown going deep into the game today. You know, May and June a little bit with some length. There’s a line drive caught by Christian Walker. So Barno hits it hard, but he hits it at the Astros first baseman for the second out. broke his bat. It’s shattered and Jeremy Pñena comes in to make the play and Lugo’s retired. Hunter Brown a good one, two, three seconds. Christian Walker down on strikes here. Soraniano picks up his third strikeout in a row uh to to each each game and and try to do our best for a team. So, uh, Johansson Tana, Miguel, all those guys that I just mentioned, I just mentioned. Will you ever approach a veteran player and say, “Hey, I need you to go talk to a a younger guy and help him out a little bit.” Yes. Yes, I did. Right away. I did as soon as Carlos step up. Also to There is number 179 tying his careerhigh as he gets PZA for the first out of the third. His hand said, “Don’t swing at that cuz it’s going to hurt.” There’s one at the bottom of the zone. Netto too close to take on 3-2 as he has a word for Mark Ripper on his way back to the dugout. Glass window out there in left field on the ground. Diving stop by. Ramon Aras throws out Mike Trout to end the inning. Pñena into left center field cutting across Joe Adele to make the play. The ball hung up a little bit on Jeremy. They go back to the splitter and this one catches the outside corner. That’s strikeout number five for Soraniano. First on the ground. Rangers have the day off going into that series and the Astros will play a Thursday night game against the Yankees. Broken bat. Speaking of Koreah gobbles that one up and makes the throw to get Joe Adele. Hunter has been shattering some bats today. That is right there. Ranifo knew it as he jogs away from the batter spots. Hunter Brown picks up his four strikeouts. A one, two, three, fourth time up. One of five strikeouts for Soraniano. That one towards the middle. Diving stop by Rano. What a play by the Angels. Took away a hit from Mike Trout. Now Renhifo gets the opportunity as Carlos tried to get things started. Hit that ball well. But Renhifo laying out being able to make the throw from his knees. Good play. But I think it would benefit a lot of Astro fans and front office if you started to see the Astros get on base and get hits while guys were on base. Anata makes that play for the final out of the inning. So Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Hunter Brown just locking up Luggo with that curveball. That’s strikeout number five for Hunter. His last. This ball hit well into right center field sending Melton on the run all the way back by the bullpen and gone. Oswald PZA came into the game two for two in his career against Hunter and he just had the second hit of this game against Brown. It’s a home run into right center field. His first home run of the season. Chopped towards short. Sack Netto on two hops. Will throw out Aras for the second out. Caught in on his hands as he rolls one to second and that’ll be Renipo making the play for the final out. It appears who will get the first shot. This ball hit into center. Jacob Melton going back on it and Trout retired for the second out of the inning. Chopper Pñena’s going to charge and he’ll make the throw to first. Ranifo out number three. Hunter Brown. Six innings of work. Only one run allowed. They’ve only had one runner since that was on a walk. This one chopped fair ball and Manata makes a fine play. Yan Manata. Jeremy thought that was foul as he looks back at third base umpire Nick Lent. That’s out number one. Should be a good look at it down that third base line. Jeremy didn’t think that Ground ball to short. Could be a double play. They go to second for one and that is a turn to end the inning. There goes the runner. The pitch is down and the throw goes into center field. PZA picks up his first steal. He does not advance. This time he found where the ball was. Melton was start adding in foul tips and swings. There you go. Natto goes down on strikes. McCuller starts the inning and ends the inning with a strikeout. Kareah down on a 99 mph sinker for out number one here in the seventh inning. Sends this one to the right side. Fielded there by PZA. The new first baseman learning that position takes it. That one gets by the catcher. Darno Walker trying to reach and the throw will pull Pereza off the bag. No, he stayed on it for the final out of the inning. Mike Trout and Lance McCuller’s Jr. and Trout sends one deep to left center field and this ball will be off the fence. Mata got a good start off first. He’ll be waved around and the Angels have their second run of the game. Double to left center in this inning. There is a called third strike. Adele goes down looking. McCullers has three strikeouts of his four outs. Little tapper in front of the plate. Lance is going to glove it and throw. And it gets past Christian Walker coming in to score. Is going to be Trout. There’s your popup. Like it. Infield fly rule might be invoked except for it’s in foul territory. They do call the infield fly though right at the end. A home run. his second time up. Line drive caught by McCullers. He’s going to go to first and he makes the play. Great defensive work by Lance on a bullet up the middle in the air. Center field, new center fielder Bryce Teodosio will go all the way back to the warning track to put it away. Saw a lot of pitches against that right-hander here against Garcia. He sends one to the wall. Oh man, Ward hit the wall hard and he is down. That is a tough play. I I think his face went into the hard part of that wall out there. They’ve got to protect him and get training staff out there. That was not good. I think we all feel the same way. Just be careful. He’s going to go into this wall pretty good. Extended to make the play. Oh gosh. Yeah. Oh gosh. Not good. No. called third with 98 at the top of the zone. Melton thought it was up. Got him on that sweeper to end the inning. Two strikeouts for Luis Garcia to end the eighth and the Astros failed to score. Still three nothing Angels at Detroit. Then to start this home stand against Colorado, they got the one run for Hunter and then no run. Got him. Blue ball makes quick work of Mata as he strikes him out on three pitches. Two outs in the inning. Ground ball towards the hole. Py with a jump throw and a pick at first by Christian Walker. Nicely done on both sides of that play. Yeah, for the moment when he gets back into the lineup. And think where they would be without him being on base 11 times. That’s a That’s a good point. on the ground to short. That’s the fourth time Altbe has grounded to short in this game and there’s two outs in a fivegame span. Kareah into left and Ranipo will put it away to complete this shut out. A two-h hitter combined between Joseé Soraniano, Luis Garcia, and Kenley Jansen.

Astros need to go back to tee ball and work their way up from there.
I do not know how the astros are still in first place.
From a Jay's fan, the Yankees are going to clobber the astros
